The Rise of the Machines

"Darn those new models, I thought they'd know that the freshies are the most vulnerable..." He uttered under his breath. He hoped the flash worked, giving him enough time to work with. He picked up a stray rock and hurled it at the frozen mech, having noticed the stream of data picked up by his other sensors. "I hope this works..."

Seamus marched onward towards the organism, unsure of what to expect. Suddenly, for some reason unbeknownst to him, the was a quick glint of light out of the corner of his eye. He raised a paw to his brow to block the sun's rays, yet somehow the light continued to blur his vision. "Nngh.." His tail straightened out, and began to flick uncontrollably. For now, the bright UV rays left him frozen in place as well, the whirring coming from his skull getting louder. Taking a moment to regain his composure, the ocelot shook his head. The blinding light was suddenly gone, but his vision only restored to the sight of a rock coming directly for his face. "s**t," was all he managed to utter before the stone hit him square in the nose.

Hayden had completed the overide and kept running at 70 mph.

Age/Date of Construction: 2137
Species/Model: MC-V7-5291-F0X unit
Affiliation: Da good gaiz
History: One of the original MC (Mega Chip) units, Ren was seemingly destroyed in an explosion that took out Factory B-12 in what used to be Seattle. He was buried in the rubble for 20 years until a small child went to investigate the site and accidentally activated the robot by kicking a rock into the back of his head, causing his emergency security system to reactivate him. He then was sent to another factory and was ordered by a 22 year old woman named Jennifer. She later died, being shot by a Proto, and made Ren promise to bring good back to the world.

Ren looked out over the city he once knew as Seattle and remembered the past..."Feh," he muttered. He then looked over at the horizon and realized that his scanners detected some other Mechs in that general direction. Remembering the promise he made to his master before her death, he activated his leg boosters and ran off to Washington D.C.

Joshua marveled at the haste of the new model, running at great speed in such short time. "I wonder if I can run that fast... I've never actually tried." He thought to himself. "Hmm... better safe than sorry." He spoke aloud, almost too audible for comfort, even at his distance. His eyes widened, laying against the ground and covering his mouth. "Smart..." he scorned himself in his mind. His scanner started beeping, noting a passing mech not too far off, accelerating toward another city.

Seamus watched the mech run off in another direction, quickly disappearing from sight. Knowing that he was an inferior antiquity in the android world, he shook his head. "Greater velocity. Futile." Just then, a voice caught his attention, and he looked up to the crest of a nearby hill. He wiped the synthetic blood from his crooked nose and dashed off towards the sound, his scanners eventually indicating that it was yet another mech.

Joshua's scanner determined that the ocelot was fast approaching. Grinding his teeth, he rolled over in stress, alone and fearful. His index and middle finger caps drew back again, revealing a small laser and a magnifier, generating energy to ready his integrated weapon. "s**t... s**t... s**t... s**t..." He uttered spitefully in his mind, knowing that this being the only proto at the site of destruction meant that he was a powerful adversary.

Hayden stopped and looked at the mechs. "I should help them." Hayden ran back faster and faster until he managed to catch up to the ocelot and punch him, sending him flying a few feet.

Ren scanned the specs of the mechs in front of him, detecting a protochip in one of them. He increased his velocity and shoved his elbow into the metal ribs of the ocelot.

Hayden saw the other mech and backed away. "Are you good or bad?"

After stumbling forward a few feet from the sucker punch to the center of his back, he regained his footing. As his feet locked into place on the ground for a retaliation towards his assailant, he heard the soft patter of someone flanking him from the side. Reacting quickly, he lifted his arm and smacked the incoming elbow away, making sure it glanced smoothly off of his forearm. Seamus may not be the fastest runner, but reflexes was definitely his strong suit.

Hayden stared at the machine. "Activating mech scan." Hayden said as he read off the contact visor.

Noticing that Hayden was foolishly distracting himself, Seamus bolted for him, planted his left footpaw on the ground and whipped a roundhouse kick towards the fur's head with immense speed.

Joshua's laser having been charged adequately, he rose a tad and took aim, his hand in a stereotypical shape of a pretend gun. A glitch in his scanner piece left him without aim, so he ducked down while his scanner recalibrate and reticle sync up with his gun. Rising again, he took aim, not having a clear shot with the agile target, he fired at the back of the ocelot. Unsure of himself, knowing that he'd be noticed, he ducked to the ground again, allowing his arm to generate energy again.

Hayden was hit around the head and fell to the ground.
