Info: Final Fantasy II is the second installment in the main series of the popular franchise of the same name.
It is a role-playing game, and focuses around four youths named Firion, Maria, Guy, and Leon. Firion, Maria, and Guy join a resistance movement against the Emperor of Palamecia and his army while searching for Leon, Maria's brother.
Unlike many other Final Fantasy games, there are not many allusions to it's predecessor, the original Final Fantasy. Although this is true, Final Fantasy II set the trends for other Final Fantasy games to come by introducing things such as Chocobos and a guy named Cid.
There were plans to have an English translation and release in North America. There was a portotype launched called Final Fantasy: Dark Shadow of Palakia. It was eventually scrapped in favour of the newly released Final Fantasy IV.
