Info: Final Fantasy III is the third installment to the Final Fantasy series, and was the last one to be released for the Famicom on April 27, 1990. It was only released in Japan at the time due to a handful of reasons, and the major one being that the Super Nintendo was soon to be released in North America, and they figured it bad marketing to release a game for a soon to be inferior system.

Remakes:
Wonder Swan Color: Final Fantasy III was supposed to be remade along with Final Fantasy I, II, and IV for the Wonder Swan Color back in early 2000. However, the game was scraped due to limited memory issues.

Nintendo DS: It wasn’t until November 14, 2006 that western gamers had a chance to enjoy this game when it was released on the Nintendo DS. The game got a total overhaul with 3D graphics and more in depth main characters. It was released in the PAL regions the following year.

Wii Virtual Console: Basically the original game. It is available for download on the Nintendo Wii’s VC (Japan only).
