Master_Glink Awesome Tree Bad choice of words. All I've seen of it is that it looks exactly like the DS, but the screens have a little more depth. It didn't look like that brand spanking new to me. The videos and photos on Youtube and other sites aren't the 3DS... That's a Japanese title released for the DSi, it uses the camera to perform the 3D effect. How the 3DS will perform it's trick is yet to be seen, and all that's floating around is mostly speculation. Nintendo stated it was going to release more information at E3 this year, however. Really? Huh. If the 3DS really does do well in the 3D, then I've had this idea, although I think it's impossible with this technology.
Somehow in the 3DS there's some kind of hologram projector, and the new Pokemon generation will allow you to have your Pokemon in 3D. I know it seems stupid, but I'd kill for that, and it'd sell like hotcakes. Play alongside your Pokemon.

Yeah, I guess the 3DS is a new console, with it's own brand of games, but the name is steal beating a dead horse. I didn't know about the 3DS, I've never heard of it. I'm gonna go search it online now, and see what it's all about.
Edit: Oh, wait. I think I might have seen this, but I thought it was an add for the DSiXL. There was a Yahoo featured article on this puzzle game, and when you turn the DS left, right, up, or down, the DS acts like a 3D box and the world inside it moves, for you to find puzzles like a hidden "A" when two pieces of the world touch. Is this what the 3DS is?

There aren't any pictures of it at all. All we have to go off of is that it will allow for 3D gaming without glasses, it will be a successor, and then rumors. Iwata was also asked if the next D Swould have gyroscopes and GameCube like graphics to which he responded something along the lines of "That is a given, but is that enough to warrant a successor DS?" At this time I think it's rumored to have: -3D technology without glasses (among which there are many different technologies it could use) -Built in rumble -Longer battery life -No gap between the screens -Control stick -Gyroscope/motion control I think that warrants a new DS. I posted that before I realised that what I was referring to was a DSiWare game thing. Where'd you get all of that info?
The only way I can see no gaps between the screens working is either the sides fold onto the screen, or some kind of swivel motion takes place.

Wouldn't no gaps between screens be the same as ... One screen...?

Well... You might as well go ahead and make them both touch-screens...
...And if it has a Gyroscope, It might not even matter which screen is which, given that you could determine the orientation of the device. Hell, I wouldn't put past them to use some kind of flexible screen...
