I'm not sure it's possible to succeed with some guides. xp

I've been trying with Louie, but he doesn't start with a lot of loot and the game takes so darn long to complete.

I finally finished. With Edmund. xd I tried Louie first, but he had a habit of using my loot on stuff and "accidentally" doing things that harmed the crew. stressed And his supposed awesome sense of smell to sniff out food and stuff? He must've had a cold cuz it wasn't working too well for me.

No his strength helped you carry more than 250 lbs of food. If you use filling rations the whole time and go average on the the fastest ship with Sam, you can do allright.

If you only got silly metals that you can't do anything with...

Then I think I'll pass on this game.

You should try it once. Even though the medals are useless, the game is kind of fun. And with your luck, dude, you could finish with Louie or maybe even Carl and end up with a rare medal that's worth more in the MP.

My luck isn't that good anymore.

I tried to win a NSFW item from the "random item generator" midsummer swirl, and wasted about a million getting useless crap V.V

That's in part why it took my so long for catgirl to get her current outfit. The "Miki Yamaguchi" cosplay.

Yeah, those Chance Item things are the worse thing Gaia has ever released. They've got the market all in an uproar. rolleyes

...I actually played the event game yesterday. I got about 20 miles from the end and something came and killed my entire crew. (~_~)

I hate gambling with real money, anyway. stressed So CIs seem like a really BAD idea. I've never bought one, and I don't plan on it.

Well, the Gaia Cash Shop wasn't so bad at first. I actually would purchase a cash card once a month to buy the donation items and a few other cute little things. But, that was back when things were 49 or 199 cash. Heh. ....And yeah, the CI are nothing but a gamble. The only few times I've bought one (using Gaia Gold) I've ended up getting total crap items.
