I read the whole conversation I and I learned a few things. Anyway about Japan I was thinking about one day living in Japan. but I plan on being in the film industry and not the Manga industry. question though. is it possible to become a manga editor in Japan.

so in other words when you put the words in English format you would say wa watashi desu etsuko?right?cause after i just reviewed this i understand that in japanese format the words come before the subject so to speak wa is as for watashi i desu am Etsuko japanese format watashi wa etsuko desu.that's what your saying about placement right?

Thank you for teaching me how to align where goes were now i will get the idea what jap singers are singing a little i just need is the language words thats all (sorry not a really good to understand i meant like words for english thats what i meant do you get it sweatdrop ) so i can learn more than two languages

As for Kuma he is my dog .
Kuma no yō ni kare wa watashi no inudesu.
クマのように彼は私の犬です。
Thanks it help alot but im still slow at it im going to have to read it again to refresh my memory.

Watashi wa Billy desu =>

As for me, my name is Billy

My mom (who is Japanese), told me that "watashi wa blank desu" just means "my name is blank." Is the "as for me" just another way of saying it? sweatdrop

Oh! And I look forward to future lessons. xD This is helpful.

Although I'm not the teacher here, I'll try to answer this question. I never use "as for me" when translating "watashi wa". I guess it just sounds a bit redundant in English. I don't think Japanese can translate to English exactly most of the time anyways.

"Watashi wa Billy desu" would just be translated as "I am Billy."
