Revamp that would be movic vs. geneon. Happy Lesson and S-cry-ED are the BEST examples of dubbs gone great. Happy lesson....because it was BETTER then the subbs which sucked, and the voices really matched what their personalities were I thought. S-cry-ED because the voice actors and actresses sounded similar to those of their subbed counterparts. I just wonder why more companies can't hire more competent voice actors/actresses!! I don't care if they don't have the budget to hire someone popular....make some audicians and hire some NEW talent or something!! stare

I thought the Happy Lesson sub was just fine.
Maybe we got different subbers, hmm.

Tsuki No Tragedy I thought the Happy Lesson sub was just fine. Maybe we got different subbers, hmm. Maybeh it was Happy Lesson Advanced or something....it was through New-Type USA. The subbed had everyone sounding similar....while the dubbed was worlds away. Everyone had their own unique personalities that fit with their voice.....the cutesy hyper cosplaying art teacher sounding perky and cute.......while the gothy chem teacher spoke quiet and almost monotone....

Ayanami Rei First Child Dream_Raven I preffer subtitles. Then I can watch adult anime without my mom knowing what is going on. Bad reason I know... sweatdrop That is just sooooo wrong. I like the cute voices of subbs most of the time....but dubbs are cool in that you can listen to them on TV while you chat away on the computer ^^;; The problem is too many companies slack off on creating good dubbs such as the people who did Evangelion......then there's companies that do great such as the people who did Happy Less and s-cry-ED...

Yeah that always pisses me off. I had great hopes for Naruto....but they messed it up with horriable voices and I'm sure they'll start editing it at one point.....ugh @.@

For some really good Dub and Sub... Appleseed, the new edition *computer generated*, that is really good in both aspects... some horrible Subbing... heh, Full Metal Panic FUMOFFU... horrible in both Subbing and translation...
