"My name's Luke." he said, then watched her go order coffee. He rubbed his arms to warm up as he waited. He was still pretty cold and he could feel the tips of his fingers.

persephone walked back towards him with two cups of coffee in her hands, She handed one to luke before taking a sip of her own coffee. " I forgot to ask what you wanted so i just got normal coffee." she said softly as she moved over towards some of the seats near the door.

Luke took the coffee and sipped it as he followed her to the table she wanted to sit at. "It's alright. I like my coffee plain." he said, taking another sip. It had been a long time since he had drank a good cup of coffee. And one this warm.

persephone smiled as she closed her eyes for a moment thinking about what she was running away from. It was nice to talk to someone that didn't have complete control over your life. " i forgot to introduce myself my name is maria." she said softly using the name she'd used when she'd visited before.

Luke nodded some. "It's good to meet you, Maria." he said, sipping more of his coffee. "Thanks again for the coffee. I really needed it. So where do you come from?"

persephone looked down at her cup as she thought of a way to answer his question "A long way away from here. it wasn't really a nice place." she said softly hoe do you tell someone that your the greek god of spring she thought.

"It's not that great of a place here either..." Luke said, drinking his coffee. The city was a heartless place to him. There wasn't much to make a living out of.

persephone smiled slightly " It's better than where i came from. more entertaining." she said softly as she sipped her coffee again. She ran her hand through her hair once before sitting back in her seat.

((Sorry it took me so long. I forgot about this and college has been a beach(Say it fast and you'll get it...)))
"Depends on what you mean by entertaining." Luke muttered, finishing off his coffee that she had gotten him. "Only real entertainment costs money. Money that I do not have." he sighed. 'Nor ever hope to.' he thought, staring at the bottom of his empty coffee cup.

persephone looked up at him over her coffee cup. " so what is it you really wish to do then?" she said softly "I've been looking to invest in some new business ideas i just haven't found one i like yet." She was hoping that there was a way she could help him, she wasn't sure why but she liked him he seemed kind, something you rarely saw in the "modern" times.

Luke looked to her and glanced away some into his empty coffee cup. "Well.... I... I wanted to make t-shirts for a living...." he mumbled. "But I don't have the money for all the equipment and supplies and storage." he said, sighing.

persephone looked away slightly in thought " ermm well maybe i could help you." she said softly as she finally looked back at him. "i like the idea. Please dont feel embarressed or anything but your one of the nicer people i've met since i've been here. I'd be happy to help you... that's if you want the help." she spoke the last part softly not sure on what his reaction would be.

Luke looked to her and looked away. "I can't. I can't accept help from you and burden you with my problems." he mumbled. He couldn't jsut let her devote herself to him. He had no way of repaying her for such kindness already.

" you wouldn't be burdening me with it, your the first person i've met since i arrived her that seems genuine." she said softly looking at him again before putting her cup down on the table in front of them "Anyway you could just class me as a silent partner in the business." She looked away trying to decide whether she should tell him who she really was or not, as the goddess of spring she had some control over nature. She also had control over darkness because of her role as queen of the underworld, although she hated that part of her.

Luke looked to her and sighed. "It seems there is no convincing you..." he said with a small smile. "You know, you're one of the most determined people I've ever met." Luke said, pulling out a card and a sharpie. He wrote something on the playing card and folded it in half before sliding it over to her. "If you ever want to talk about something." he said, getting up from the booth. "Thanks for the coffee." and with that he was gone.
