Why Stephen King's IT is not scary.

You're essentially saying it's not scary because you don't think it's scary.


Ok.
It's not scary to you.
That doesn't make it universally non-scary.

It's an opinion, but I guess I delivered it the wrong way.

I just don't see how a lot of people are scared by it.

Which is fine. But I'm sure people can come up with a list of 10 reasons why it is scary.

MY top ten reasons why IT is scary to me:
1: Im deathly afraid of spiders
2: I dislike storm drains
3: the thought of little kids disappearing freaks me out because i take care of three small children
4 Stephen king freaks me out
5 even though im a woman seeing blood randomly in my bathroom is a little off putting
6 Like the main characters i was severely bullied as a kid the last thing i want to think about is a clown coming after me because im a good candidate for suicide
7 Deadights nuff said
8 i hated IT's teeth
9 just the phrase "we all float down here" is creepy >_>
And the number one reason even though it is labeled 10
10 IT CAN TURN INTO YOUR BIGGEST FEAR

can we all agree that the mist was a shitty movie? though the short story was wonderful.


The concept of "IT" was good, You have to also remember that society wasn't quite as desensitized as it is now. People were scared s**t less of "the exorcist " for example, they actually had ambulances set up in case people had heart attacks or fainted. Which happened.

I found it scary because of how it could do what ever the ******** it wanted, when it wanted. Like nightmare on elm street, only this b*****d didn't need you dreaming. He just needed to learn your fear. Of course now I'm desensitized to the point it has to be a female, or a pet of some sort for me to feel anything. Which is usually distaste and a desire of vengeful justice.
