Deimos walked in from the lounge-room connected to his bedroom. He saw her with her eyes open and looking around the empty room. Deimos went straight to her side.. "Aila, you're awake.. are you okay? How are you feeling??" he asked with such concern it was so sincere and believable.. "I was so worried about you.." he said and kissed her forehead.
Phoenix shrugged. "Actually he would be. But that doesn't concern you about our matters. Are you half a mind-reader, half-breed?" she asked coolly trying to change the subject. Phoenix was looking at the ground, and not at Eric anymore.. but she moved closer to Eric's direction, very subtly.

Aila stared at Deimos for a second, trying to recall what had happen. "What happen?" she said, believing the concern in his voice. As he kissed her forehead, she felt a mental warning, but she ignored it. She barely knew Deimos; she knew what he was, but that didn't scare her. She wondered where exactly she was, and when did Deimos and her get so friendly. She nearly cried out in frustration, why couldn't she remember anything? Eric smirked. So the little birdie didn't always do exactly what Deimos said. He frowned when the words half-breed left her mouth. "Hm, I wonder?" he said, coldly, glaring at Phoenix. He took a defensive stance as she moved a little closer. He flinched as it caused him sudden pain, and he grabbed his sides instinctively. He quickly crossed him arms, with the same smart a** grin. He watched Phoenix, still a murderous glint in his eyes.

Deimos took a step back, having sensed her distress. "Aila, you slipped in the hall this morning.. don't you remember? You went sailing right into the dumbwaiter and flew down 3 flights! You must have bumped your head.. are you in pain?" he quickly lied.. and tried to calm her. He didn't move close again, but he kept the look of sincerity pasted on his face.
"It would be your only advantage against full demons.. too bad I've never heard of Half-breeds having anything expect single mothers.. and run-away dads." she said delivering the same glint in her eyes to match Eric..She wasn't much of a mouth but she'd been around Deimos long enough to pick up a few harsh words..

Aila thought about it for a minute. It didn't sound like herself to slip and fall, but she guessed anything was possible. She let out an stifled laugh. "I don't remember much, perhaps I hit my head a little too hard?" she said, questionably. She could tell she would be frustrated, very frustrated at the fact of losing some of her memory. She wondered how much she had been missing out on. She calmed down for the moment, noticing Deimos's sudden distance from her. Eric let out a growl. He knew the rumors about Phoenix, but she had seemed to have picked up so nasty words from Deimos. "At least I have parents," he said; his voice was threatening, as if daring her to come closer. He knew it wasn't a smart idea, but she had crossed to line. Therefore, Eric didn't really care anymore. "And besides, you know nothing of my family, therefore what right do you have to jump to conclusions?" he said, and a slightly less hostile voice.

Deimos moved closer to comfort her again, and sat beside her on the bed. He put an arm around her. "Maybe I can help you to try an remember.. you of course, remember me..? And what is the last thing you can think of before you fell..? I'm sure it's just a touch of temporary amnesia, but until your memory comes back, I don't want you wandering too far.. in fact I'd like to stay with you until it does.. I would feel better.. I know I haven't been around too much, but after today, I was scared I might lose you." he confessed slightly in truth, but not for the same reasons Aila might think. He smiled at her and thought to himself I've got to be careful with my temper.. if I'm going to keep her around..
Phoenixs' breath was temporarily sucked away when Eric shot back about her not having parents... she got really angry, and her eyes squinted like she was going to target Eric and set him on fire.. "I don't have parents because I discarded them to become a demon (she lied).. I don't have friends because I don't need them, I don't have a lover because my life is devoted to someone who -- " She quickly held her tongue. " I-I've... said too much.." she stammered and felt like she reacted too hastily, blowing her tough exterior.

Aila thought back a second, every single second after she had met Deimos seemed to be gone. "I remember meeting you for the first time and talking to you, but after that it's all blank," she admitted; in answer to his question. She did in fact feel like she hadn't see Deimos in a while. She believed all of his words, not knowing any better. She did always have perhaps too much trust in people. "Um....how much am I missing from my memories, including how long?" she asked, curiously. She didn't even know what the day was anymore. Eric raised an eyebrow, all of a sudden starting a fight didn't seem interesting anymore. So Phoenix did have a weakness and wasn't complete tough. He wanted to tease her, but he didn't want to flare tempers any higher. "Doesn't seem like a very fun life without at least friends," he said, losing the cold edge to his voice. "You know, you are kinda cute when you aren't looking like you are about to kill someone," he added. Eric started to think of Aila, feeling guilty. He didn't know what was happening to her right now, but he hoped Deimos's soft spot for her kept her out of harm.

He rubbed her back in a soothing way.. "Well, if thats all you remember than your missing quiet a bit.. I don't know if going over everything would help, maybe we could just take it one day at a time..? See where everything goes.. I don't want to rush it and have you end up in a tail-spin.." he said calmly, gazing into her two beautiful pools of yellow eyes. He smiled to reassure her.
Phoenixs' cheeks turned a taunt shade of pink.. blushing. She moved a hand to her face and felt the warmth, as it slowly disappeared .. Was I... blushing?... I-I..don't think I've ever experienced this before... she thought to herself.. then looked over at Eric, and quickly readjusted her demeanor, crossing her arms and leaning back against the wall.. " Do you always try to charm women or is it something you can help from doing?" she asked, trying to regain her spunk.

"Yeah, a day at a time would probably be best," she said, agreeing. She felt the warmth rise in her cheeks as he sat gazing into her eyes. She was blushing, it was a little embarrassing to be gazed at with such intensity. His smile set off what seemed to be butterflies in her stomach. Why was she so nervous around him, and why did her heartbeat speed up. She wondered what had happened in the days she had missed once again, but more specifically what happened to between her and Deimos. Eric stifled an laugh. Phoenix blushing? That was a new one. He had never heard of that happening before. He tap his finger against his chin, as if thinking. "Hm, trying? I never recall trying too. Perhaps it's another natural gift," he said, teasing, even as Phoenix tried to regain her spunky streak. He was amused as she seemed to be freaking over the fact that she was blushing.

Is she... blushing...? wow.. I don't think I've ever seen her blush before.. he thought.. and smiled a little wider. You must be hungry, after all this commotion and confusion.. he said casually, with a slightly demonic twinkle in his eye. Maybe this will all work out after all... he thought to himself optimistically...
Phoenix looked away from him and lowered her head, using her hand to prop it up slightly.. "Do you honestly think your charm is some gift? I was joking." she finished, and looked up with a small smirk. "Hm.. Whats with your eyes?" she asked.. not ever really taking notice to them.

Aila nodded and at the same time said, "A little." She was caught off guard by what he had said, suddenly glad to get out of the room. As big as it was, she was beginning to feel cramped, and Deimos was not helping the feeling. Besides she was excited to look around and see if she remembered anything else. "Now, why is it when girls, wait cut that, women seem to change the subject every chance. And I think you've already said it yourself. I'm a halfbreed. After coming down here, one of my eyes turned red. Big deal. A lot of demons down here have one or two red eyes," he said, waving off the matter. Actually he had gotten it by being disowned by his father. It served as a mark of a traitor to the house to have own's eyes turn red, but since Eric was only half demon; only one of his eyes had turned. He also had a more obvious mark of being disowned, but that was safely hidden away on his back, and none had seen it other then himself.

Deimos nodded and stood up.. "Maybe you would like to meet me there after you've freshened up. I'll show you to your room.. and then you can meet me in the hall for some lunch." he smiled and stood up, taking her hand in his and bringing her to a stand, and waited to make sure she able to stand still, and not be overcome by dizziness. He kept one hand at the small of her back, just in case.
Phoenix shrugged. "Even so, Not everyone has two different eyes, I have only seen a few of them before. I was just wondering." Phoenix frowned and averted her own red eyes away from Eric.. "And I wasn't trying to change the subject... I only asked because it's a little rare I suppose.. besides, I don't know where that previous conversation was headed, but I don't think it'd be smart to continue it.." she finished, barely audible, and slightly rocking her body against the wall, she shuffled her feet a bit.

Aila nodded once more. "That sounds like a good idea," she said. She was grateful for Deimos's steadying hand. She felt dizzy, and a little confuse once again. She had a funny feeling in her head, and that including being lightheaded didn't set well. She looked towards Deimos, suddenly noticing the voices outside the door. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but she heard something all the same. "You're right, it's probably a good idea to leave it alone," Eric admitted. "Eh, I never thought it was that rare. I don't know, it doesn't bother me much. Gets me a few stares, but other then that I blend in pretty well," he said. He suddenly heard movement coming from the room, "Ah, I better go, ya know. Made the boss man mad, I should get back to work," he said. He left with a wave of the hand, enjoying his little talk with Phoenix. He guessed she wasn't all the bad.

Deimos helped her toward the door, one hand on her, the other reaching out and opening the door. He helped her out and then he stopped abruptly. He looked to Phoenix and said "Please alert the chefs we'll be eating in an hour." he then stated "alone." and with that he turned away from her and walked away with Aila at his curtail, he held her hand and walked her toward her room in the east wing of the manor.
Phoenix nodded when Eric bid farewell and stepped across the hall just as the door opened and Deimos stepped out with Aila. Deimos made his request and she nodded dutifully to him. As soon as Deimos was out of sight, Phoenix ran the opposite direction down the hallway and the second she made it around the corner she threw herself on the floor, with her back against the hallway wall and let her tears pour out. I can't believe that b*****d, Deimos.. She thought as she sobbed in silence.
