Mayumi looked up to see Marcus now seeing next to her. She blinked before hearing him speak french to her. She nodded, "Yes. Sorry." she said to him softly. She felt bad thinking he was forced to come over to make her friends shut up about her going over to him.

"It was not just them. She didn't help," Marcus said, pointing with his fork to the girl he had been sitting next to a moment ago. "Besides, you seem... interesting. Like the kind of person who wouldn't run screaming the first time I accidentally blew something up around you. Or blew it up on purpose. Most of the students here know better." He spoke low enough that only she would be able to hear. "I beleive introductions may be in order. I am Marcus, fifth year Ravenclaw, keeper on the quiditch team who likes to try new things. And according to any you might ask here, it is possible that I am quite insane." He smiled broadly, looking over to her.

Mayumi lifted her head up to look where Marcus was pointing his fork at to see a girl. "I'm Mayumi, a four-year at Beauxbatons." She spoke in the same soft tone she used earlier. She looked at him and gave him a small smile, "Everyone is insane in their own way." she commented to him.

Marcus nodded, thinking about it for a moment as he ate. He decided that she was right. Everyone was a little crazy somtimes. "Let me know when you're finished, and I'll show you the way to Ravenclaw Tower. Much better than the dungeons that the Durmtrang student get to deal with." He turned back to his food, finishing up.

Mayumi nodded before trying to finish up her meal she had been eating. Once she did finish up she waited on Marcus as she place her hands in her lap.

Marcus finished up his own plate, and quickly drank the rest of his milk. Standing, he took a moment to make sure his legs did not get tangled between the bench and table. Looking around a moment, he checked one of the inner pockets of his robe, confirming that a paperback book was still there.

Mayumi stood up to follow him to the dorm room. She couldn't help but to wonder why he told her about him being Insane. "If you don't mind me asking why did you tell me you were insane? To be honest you don't sound like it or look like it." she told him truthfully

"It comes and goes, truly," Marcus said as he walked, followed the route ingrained into his memory over the past few years. "And I wanted you to know what you may be getting yourself into. Most people tend to avoid me. The only friends I really have are on the quidditch team."

Mayumi felt bad for him that he only had friends on the quidditch team and nowhere else. "Well they shouldn't avoid you. Their being too judgemental over you." she spoke to him. Mayumi stayed close by his side so she wouldn't get lost knowing she could very get lost if anything distracted her enough.

Marcus laughed a little, smiling wide. "It might also be that my expiremental spells tend to blow up in my face. And the faces of anyone nearbye. One once set fire to a square mile of grass outside. All good reasons to avoid me. I get over it." Marcus stopped talking as he reached a staircase. The top switched from one landing to another, changing the path. "We'll have to wait until it gets to the leftmost path again."

Mayumi blinked at him when he brought up experimental spells staying silent for a bit. Soon her expression changed dramatically into a happy one before giggling since it was funny to hear about the spells setting fire or exploding the faces. "If you don't mind me asking what spells are you trying?" she asked him very curious now.

When the staircase was almost to the leftmost staircase, Marcus stepped on, starting his way up. "I know quite a bit of Latin, the language mostly used in incantations. I just mix words together and hope something works. If it blows up, all the more fun for me. If it sets something on fire, I have entertainment for a few hours. People try not to irritate me or cross my path, on the off chance that something works, or just in case it doesn't" When they were nearly to the top of the staircase, it switched to the landing they needed to get off on.

Mayumi followed after Marcus quickly so she wouldn't get left behind. "Is there a specific group of Latin words you use for your incantations?" she asked him. Once at the top she looked behind her at the stair case completely amazed by it causing a smile to appear on her lips before turning back to Marcus.

"Whatever happens to make the most sense for the effect I try to create. I have a few old dictionaries in my trunk that I use." Marcus moved through a few other corridors and up another set of stairs. When he reached a door with a brass knocker in the shape of an eagle, he stopped. "This is the entrance to Ravenclaw tower. Getting in can be tricky sometimes, but generally not a problem." He used the knocker, and a voice emenated from it. "Welcome, Marcus. What is the Latin word for 'head?'" Marcus thought for a moment, remembering a spell that failed didsmally a few days ago. " I beleive that would be 'caput.'" "Well done!" The voice said as the door swing open, revealing a lounge room decorated in blue and bronze.

Mayumi stopped when he did to see the door with an eagle brass knocker and was in awe of it. She soon heard a voice that did not belong to either her or Marcus before hearing it ask Marcus a question. She was surprised that he didn't have any difficulty remembering the word for head.
