"Oh, don't mind him. He's just mad that that he lost to a girl," Iroh chuckled.
"Well I was going to invite you to stay at my place for the night. You two are travellers right? And I didn't win rightfully, some stupid idiot had to interfere," Luu Chen told them, completely ignoring the bitter man's comment.
"We would love to," Iroh grinned happily. Strangely enough, Iroh felt as though he could trust this girl. She was young, yes, but quite knowledgeable. They were also only a little bit away from the port that would take them into Ba Sing Se, so a good meal and rest was crucial.

Zuko's eye twitched but followed regardless.
"She didn't beat me," Zuko retorted, "Someone set me up."

Luu led them to her place, it was quite small, barely enough for two people.
"Sorry that it's a little small for three people," she apologized as she headed to start the stove up for dinner. "You two must be hungry right? My name's Chen by the way."
"No, we are very thankful for you hospitality," Iroh answered returning the smile. "My name is Mushi and this is my nephew Lee, but he was named after his father so we just call him Junior."

Zuko's eye twitched again. He thought he had told uncle that "Junior" was not exactly a name he wanted to be called. In fact, he was annoyed and irritated by it.
"It's just Lee," Zuko corrected his uncle.

A small fire lit in Iroh's eye, communicating to Zuko that it was payback for calling him 'Mushi'.
"Well, it's nice to meet you both," Luu smiled as she served them dinner. From there, Luu let them settle in as comfortably as they could. She reckoned they might leave earlier tomorrow, but she didn't really care, after all, she was heading out herself tomorrow as well. She stayed far too long in this town, she wouldn't get anywhere to solving her questions if she just stayed put.

Early the next day, Lin boarded the boat to Ba Sing Se. She kept a low profile, still even dressed as a boy. She was still paranoid and kept her sword close to her. She thought of Piando, home alone with the old housekeeper.
Zuko and Iroh left before Chen had awoke. Iroh thought it would be polite to leave a note that they have left and thus left it on the table they had eaten at last night. Zuko and his uncle shuffled in line with the rest of the refugees as they piled onto the boat to Ba Sing Se.

Another morning, another day. Jun Li left his dorm room feeling a little, well, under the weather. He wasn't sick or anything, just a little bored. Jun checked his schedule figuring out what his shift was today. Oh, another day of just walking around. Jun frowned wondering when these stupid people will actually let him go on the field for once.
Luu Chen was currently on her way to the port to catch the Ba Sing Se boat. She was still sleepy, that's why she headed out a little late. It was all because of them making such a raucous so early in the morning. Then again, it wasn't really their fault, she was just a light sleeper. Luu carried almost no belongings, except for some money, her father's katana, and the letter she was reading on the way to the boat. Luckily, she made it on time, being one of the last few to board it.

Lin sat in silence. She didn't converse with anyone. She was still scared to. It had been so long since returning to the Earth Kingdom. In fact, it had been long since she returned to society in general. She had only walked down to the Fire Nation Town to pick up things, but not to interact with people.
Zuko noticed Chen out of the corner of his eye. Why did she come too? He ignored her, but his uncle did not.
"Oh! Chen! Why didn't you say you were coming onto this boat?" Iroh laughed, beckoning her to come closer.

Luu turned her head upon hearing a familiar voice call out to her. She turned. Whoa. Coincidence much.
"Oh? Hello Mushi, hello Lee," she greeted them both with the equal friendly manner Iroh displayed to her. "I'm surprised to find you two heading to Ba Sing Se." Truly, she was. Not just because they were travelers or that it was a surprise to see them once again, but because they were part of the Fire Nation royal family. They never told her, but she knew, mainly because she was a Fire Nation citizen herself.

"Well, you know. We just seek refuge like all of the other many people here on this boat," Iroh answered, motioning her to sit with him, "I don't see how a pretty girl like yourself needs to seek refuge."
Zuko snapped irritated, "Uncle, you talk to much. If she is on this boat, she is on the boat. What reason do you need but to want to be on this boat?"
Iroh laughed heartily, "You're getting wiser, Junior."

Luu smiled at 'Mushi's' comment.
"Your a nice man, it's hard to believe you and your nephew are related, no offence," she chuckled comparing between the contrasting personalities.
"I'm going to go see if I can find out how long this ride will be," Luu stated, bowing her head slightly before heading off. Then she spotted a male, or female, hard to say from the back, who looked like they were from the Earth Kingdom.
"Excuse me, but do you by chance know how long the ferry ride is?" Luu asked (Lin).

Lin was startled when she was addressed, but she didn't show it.
"They say it's only a half an hour ride," Lin replied. Her voice was naturally low and she just needed to speak softer and consistent in pitch to really pass as a young boy.
Zuko's eye twitched again. He watched Chen get up and asked someone.
"Why do you keep talking to her? I feel like she recognize us. How do you know she wasn't sent by Father," Zuko muttered.

"Thank you..." Luu began thinking whether to say 'Miss' or 'Sir'. Maybe she'll just say something and see what happens. Yeah. That sounded like a good plan.
"- Miss," Luu finished, stating it firmly.
"Look at her Junior, she's too nice to be someone who was sent," Iroh shook his head. "Plus, it was Azula who was sent, wasn't it, and plus, by now she would've attacked us. And, it seems she's not even a bender, surely you think your father would at least send a bender?"

This time Lin was really startled and her face slipped.
"Excuse me? Did you just say miss?" Lin blinked, then added, "I'm a boy."
"She could be a bender for all you know," Zuko argued, eying her,"Maybe that swordwork of hers is just a cover."

Luu's eyebrows raised catching the sudden face change.
"I'm terribly sorry!" She apologized, but then said in a lower voice, "What makes you hide yourself?"
"Can't you accept that she is a refugee like ourselves, or are you still bitter over the fact you lost to her?" Iroh teased, then said thoughtfully. "Or maybe you like her that's why you're so concerned."
