Oh man... Actually, that might be more difficult than you think. I just read this... Man, that's a d**k move and a half... Quote: Customs and Border Protection works closely with Attorney General’s Department to identify imported games that are banned in Australia. This includes games purchased over the Internet from foreign websites. Attorney General’s Department regularly updates Customs and Border Protection about classification decisions on publications, films, and computer games, including the reclassification of material, and about different versions of computer games (some of which may be refused classification), and how to identify those versions at the border. This information is then used to assist in identifying and seizing banned versions of games. Any copies of the games detected at the border, including via international mail, will be seized.

BASTARDS. gonk There is a way you can get around this. But it'll take a while. Sometime in the future way past release date the game will be available to download onto the PSN. If you have a US PSN account you can just purchase and download it from there. Its not importing and not going from customs nor is it an illegal download since its straight from the company itself. I don't know if you could get away with this method, but this seems like a legit way to obtain the game in my opinion. But the law is tricky my friend so I could be wrong.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Last I heard they were making an appeal to the government. But, I guess we'll see what happens. I remember Man Hunt being banned here but it managed to find it's way back.

I'm sure your continent allowed a lot of movies that puts the graphical violence of any MK game to shame. I remember the US Congress got angsty about GTA: San Andreas' Hot Coffee but they allow such a huge porn industry. Also there's a little thing called the ESRB to avoid young minds from getting it, but to be honest children 13 and up actually have common sense to tell video game from real life. If they make some mistake its not the game's fault its the legal guardian's. But hey that's just me. Banning a fighting game to me is the equivalent of dumping beer in a plant; its not necesarry nor does it day any good whatsoever.

Other countries have various different rating methods. I think they're appealing to get an R18 rating for video games in Australia, and if that happens, maybe MK will be available there afterall. After a while. I actually see that as a more likely scenario than waiting for them to release is on the PSN. There's only a few "Blu-Ray" games being released on the PSN, most of them either first party or by Ubisoft. So I wouldn't hold my breath for PSN version of Mortal Kombat anytime soon.

You know what's worse? Dragon Age II..
..before the backlash begins, let me say that its a good game. It's just not as good as DA:O for its story, motion capture and most importantly the UI! It's far too simplified compared to the previous games.
And let's not forget the voice acting.
