Felica noticed Che looking at her but she paid him no mind. Quite a few men had "looked" at her in her life time, but she always remembered what her mom said about men. She then looked forward at the building surveying the area. "Oh working at night can be quite the bore" she said. "I get a thrill doing it in broad day" she said. She then looked at him. "And before you ask how I do it...I do it right in front of their face" she said. Listening to his last words she spoke. "More than likely...I'll already be there...but I doubt you'll fight me" she said. "You won't be able to catch me....so what's your plan now?" she asked in a low tone.

Che didn't bother to respond to her explaining to him her choice of "thief time." He did however smile when she said that he wouldn't be able to catch her. Only two people have escaped him and in both instances, it was raining. "My plan now is to talk with these gumshoe, knowitall, can't do their job correctly excuses for law. I will admit...they make my job easier for me. None of them have a clue. It is because of that that you can do it in front of their faces." A bit of disappointment broke through his tone letting her know that somewhere in his soul, he longed for a challenge. The test of wits would have to wait. They were before the policemen, policewomen and detectives of the city. "Hmph. Good day gentlemen."

"Evening Che." The detective stood over him by about four inches and seven years. Still, the older man's skills apparently weren't up to par with Che's for he didn't know that the person who stole the parcel was right before them. "I'm sure you've been brough up to speed abo--I already know about the theft Marshall. Once again you're a few steps behind." Che walked past him, his ankles dipping into a puddle, and looked at the building. It was an old building. Accessible on many different levels. He looked back at Felicia hoping she would input a few words to look less out of place here.

Felcia was silent and when the detective spoke she was a bit confused. Was Che really a cop or undercover one at that? She looked at the detective. "I hear it's getting really bad on this side of town" she said to him and walking near Che. She looked into the building and back at Che in a look that asked how did he know the detective while remaining silent. She could have taken the same route she did the first time...the front door but maybe this would be more fun for her.

Che couldn't help but chuckle at the look on Felicia's face. The look on the detective's face he just left also brought on a low snicker. Yes, Che was a detective for the city. In becoming part of New York's finest, he was able to tear away any competition as well as advance himself in the underworld. Once they got inside of the building and out of earshot of the boys in blue, Che looked over to Felicia and assured her suspicions. "I'm a detective now. Later on, I'll be your competition." He wouldn't use the task force on her. At least not until he knew what she was about. For now, he continued into the dark building with only a flashlight left behind by a cop. "Now, Felicia, if you don't mind, tell me how you managed to slink into a building with no ground access without breaking a single window. The quicker we get that bit of info, the quicker I can get you out of harm's way."

In her head she was cursing herself out for this slip up, how the hell did she manage to run into a detective. She then looked at him showing no sign of emotion. "I told you before...I like to walk in and take my prize" she said to him. "It's all about slowing down and observing" she said. "The people here who watch things are repetitive in mannerisms...one is sleep while the other is chasing women for a good time" she said. "So you're getting me out of 'harm's way'" she asked curiously. "How am I in danger?" she asked him.

~Yeah...but how you doing that is my question.~ Che thought to himself. All spies, thieves and assassins had some way of getting in and getting out and even when they do, they leave something. Always. Felicia, on the other hand, apparently could waltz in and take what she needed or wanted. Che remained looking forward into the darkess. A few rats scattered along the ground when the light hit them and a couple of roaches ran beneath old abandoned furniture. "Eh...Felicia...as a fellow thief, I just don't want you to get caught. These people have too much and we have too little alright? While you may not think you're in danger, trust me, you always are. That goes for the both of us because I think this band of tards are starting to suspect me." They found a staircase that led to each floor of the building. To get space between themselves and the police below, Che began to walk up it. "C'mon. Since we're trapped until we pretend either find a lead or admit defeat, we might as well talk more."

Felica looked at Che. He actually cared about someone else rather than his job...that was his mistake right there. Felicia would never jeapordize her work for someone. She followed him. "So exactly what are you trying to steal" she asked. "We need to get in and get out...as far as finding a suspect...you can leave that to me" she said following him not saying another word.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:21 am

"Right now, nothing at all. I have a job to do here." Che said, returning to his more serious tone. Felicia's question stuck with him for a few moments. Why would she ask him of his target? Being a good sport in the game, Che obliged her with an honest answer. "What I'm going to try to steal tonight is a car. In this car will be quite a bit of money. This money is to be exchanged between a druglord and the president of a nearby company. It's up to me to stop this car, take it, destroy it and distribute the money as I see fit." He could hear the footsteps that stopped just at the base of the stairs. Even though they were in the same department, they still couldn't trust him. Che spoke his last phrase almost in a hush "Anyway, find a suspect please. I'm going to be making bank later on and the last thing I need to be is caught."

When Che explained what was going on she smirked. This sounded interesting, perhaps she could intercept that transaction and take the money for herself. She then looked at him and smirked. "I'll go see if I can find something" she told him with a smile and suddenly disappeared behind a wall. Her form began to shift as she turned into an exact replica of Che's partner. If he couldn't be trusted why would he still work with him. She then began to put his "prints" on everything around the building making these destroyed. She then shifted back into herself and found Che. "Um I think I found a suspect...dust that specific area around the corner for prints....someone left a sloppy job" she told him with a smile.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:58 am

Che wasn't entirely sure what to make of Felicia's request. Sure, he could turn his back on her after explaining his plans for the evening, but that would probably be what she wanted. He had partner's downstair so if she was planning on killing him, a quick yelp would bring them up. Or so he hoped. "Okay then..." Che pulled from his right pocked a deck of playing cards and proceeded behind the wall Felicia had just left. He drew the top card and slie the deck back into his pocket. His challenger hadn't tried to knife him yet. At least she was trustworthy to this extent. The card he kept split into a palm tree-like tool with which he used to dust away a few things. Much to his suprise, there were fingerprints everywhere. The fingerprints of his partner Marshall. How'd she get his...his fingers? "Hey you guys!" Che called to the officers below. Even upon discovery, he showed little excitement. "Get up here! We have prints!"

With haste, about four officers including Che's partner Marshall came up the steps with billy sticks brandished and guns cocked. They looked at the furniture and recognized that there were prints. They didn't recognize whose prints they were though. The chief of the station tightened his belt around his somewhat bulbous waist and caughed once. "Take the smallest piece of evidence away for testing boys. We'll know who decided to place hands all over this building. Good work Che." The officer praised. "You've solved another one. Maybe you could give your boy over there a few lessons eh?"

"Maybe." Che replied tiredly. "Umm, I think now that this is done we can go home right? This building isn't welcoming at all sir."

"By all means. We're done for today boys. The case will be closed come tomorrow morning. I think I'm going to turn in." The officer made his way to the stairs and sighed looking at the troublesome path ahead. "Alright Che. Marshall. Son, you make sure that that young lady gets home safely. It's dangerous out there at these hours."

"Let's get out of here Felicia. Before more work shows up..."

Felicia smirked barely as she thought of her craftiness. It was simply brilliant. When the chief spoke as if she was incapable of taking care of herself she kind of wrinkled her nose but kept her composure. She then followed behind Che as they began to exit. She was silent for the most part and then spoke. "So now that you have what you need with your 'cover' what are you going to do now? Try and steal something?" she asked curiously.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 17, 2011 8:03 pm

"Pretty much, yes." Che said as he exited the building altogether now. "Of course, before I do that, I have to return home to my brother who is going to lecture me, my mom who is going to cry over me and my dad...my dad is quite the fellow." The double agent looked down at the girl in slight confusion. Five minutes was usually all the time he needed to figure out a basic crime, but how were other people's fingerprints found in that building? What was stolen was stolen by her. He was sure that her ego would also prevent outside help as well. He was baffled enough to scratch his chin, but not disappointed enough to set her up. "Felicia, before I go back to being a family man for about an hour, I want to ask you something." He started to walk backwards against the darkness of the inner city slums all the while keeping his eyes on the girl. "Just who are you anyway? Did you run into me on purpose today to brag? Or was it just coincidence?"

Felicia looked at Che. She could tell that his mind was wondering and quite inquisitive. She smirked for a second. "Are you always in a rush?" she asked with a smirked grin. "Yes I'm a stalker Che, I've had eyes for you since you stepped foot on this country" she said in a sarcastic tone. "Hmmm it was just coincidence" she told him. "Listen if our paths cross again...that's fine...if not....well it was fun" she said as she began to skip off into the night disappearing from sight. She looked around shifting her form into that of a wolf and began to race home. After 20 minutes she finally reached her home and made it to her room putting her things away in a small safe she had aquired. Felicia soon sat on her bed and sighed. She then looked out of her window shifting into a hawk she decided to take a flight, just around the city to relax.

Che didn't know whether or not to believe her when she jokingly called herself a stalker. Even with the explaination that their meeting was just a fluke, he found it strange. Then again, his paranoia may have come from him being stalked numerous times in the past. Both him and his brother. After turning around in the darkness, he waved his hand and spoke to himself, "Likewise." Within minutes of walking through the treatcherous areas that he'd passed almost half an hour ago, he reached home or what he could call home. A rundown tenement that creaked and dripped like and old well. "Home sweet home." Before opeining the door, there was silence. When the mahoghany barrier turned, there was a wave of cries, music and footsteps. Che walked into the hallway and closed the door leaving only silence once again.

About an hour has passed now. Che had managed to once again sneak out from beneath the watchful eye of his mother Jeanette. That process has, over time, become dull, methodical and downright easy. Felicia was right about one thing. People like to form patterns. People love to become acquainted with the mundane...the practical...the predictable. Dressed in all black and allowing his tuft of black hair to flow freely now, Che ran the rooftops of buildings on his way to the drop spot. Only in this hour did he wear an excited smile. Only in his hour where the stars encrusted the dark night sky like glistening diamonds did he feel truly alive or free.

"Heh. Just when I thought these people would learn not to leave their money sitting out in cars and crap." Che spoke in a lighter tone. He had to or he'd risk being heard. <******** idiots..." He leapt from the buildingtop, caught a lamppost, rotated around it once and bounded off like a gymnast. The spot was in sight now. One of his seven deck of cards were in his right hand ready for action.
