My theory considering Madara:
He no longer has his original body. The body that Kabuto brought up--in my opinion--was someone who was capable of defeating him, that being either his old, strong body or the Sage of the Six Paths.

Madara--to what I know--is using Obito's body. Zetsu himself has spoken of his abilities to reconstruct bodies, so it wouldn't be very hard for him to find Obito and put him back together, thus allowing Madara to take the body of another Uchiha.

God I hope not. What are the chances that Zetsu would find Obito? Was he just going to the shops for Madara when he found him? We know that Madara made Zetsu plant clones from The First's genes and strengthened him with Yamato's. But seriously... How would he know Obito was on a mission? Did he just stalk all the Uchiha who left Konoha?

According to Tsunade, he might have put the First's Genes into himself, making his body a source of life, meaning he could elongate his own life.
