Face bound in his usual scarf, the hunchback quietly lurched into the classroom. His eyes were wide like a rabbit cornered by foxes. He was not carrying a cello.

He did, though, have a small jar tucked under his arm.

Deep breaths. Just... make it to your chair without making eye contact. Go.

Hadiyya had been a little apprehensive about returning to music class, mainly because she had not completed her homework. She'd had every intention of doing so, but things had just not worked out that way, and then the field trip.. She doubted Professor Blue would grant anyone any leniency, for any reason, and that was somewhat worrying. He didn't strike her as a very forgiving sort of man.

Of course simply not turning up at all or returning her trumpet seemed a far worse idea then attending and fessing up. So in she wandered, or rather hobbled. Making her way across the room on her ever present crutches, trumpet held down along the padded grip in one hand. It hadn't been touched beyond bringing it back to her dorm, but one of her mini's had been quite intrigued by it, and put the smallest of scratches beside the mouth piece when they tried to take a bite. Icing on the cake.

She offered the music stand a rather cool glare before moving swiftly past it towards a chair beside where Barth had collapsed over his tuba case. "Oh for Jack's sake.." She set the crutches down, the Trumpet beside it, and leaned over to pull the sloth demon up and into the free chair to her left.

Grumbling under his breath still, Aksaja stalked over toward the music stand with the piccolo clenched in one fist. It wasn't like the stupid sheet had instructions on it or anything, just a list of instruments, and he'd picked what he liked! Wasn't that the POINT? Jack.

Reaching the music stand after a few moments, the lightning dragon practically slammed the list down onto it . . . and the damn thing BIT HIM. "Ow! ********?!" he exclaimed, yanking his hand away. There were now tooth-marks there, quite a few of them already filling up with blood. Already pissed about the instrument he'd been given, Aksaja aimed a kick at the thing. What was this thing?!

Already it was time to return to the first class he had ever taken at Amityville. Unstabul knew that things would be.. a little strange walking back into that classroom. It had been almost literally just before the field trip that he had taken the drums back to his dorm with him and the feeling was just a bit too surreal- like a frozen moment in time. Unsurprisingly the classroom was just the same. It was definitely creepy which is saying something for the academy. Bul wandered in with the kit in tow. At one point or another after practicing again and again in his room the half beast had found a couple of scrapes in the finish. They weren't enough to cause great worry in the half beast but he prepared to take the heat anyway. All nice things get worn and he knew this better than many.

In all actuality Bul was rather proud of himself. Not only did he do the homework but he sort of... bonded with his instrument. This was important in retention since he didn't have the enthusiasm to play some of the other listed instruments. Strolling in with a bit of a whistle, the boil started to set up somewhere in the room, expecting that they'd get to play at some point. From the corner of his eye he spotted a couple newcomers, the one with the boat that just couldn't float in his human studies class- and a dragon boil he recognized from the cove. Their faces burned in his memory since he was ready to die with the lot of them.

Chris and Yaya looked rather guilty.. he could only assume they had something to worry about with Blue today.

Petro didn't realize there'd be music class at the academy. It was a pleasant surprise to the monster horse. When he discovered he still had the opportunity to join in, he filled out the required form immediately. Still dressed in his bahag, he knocked at the door to let the teacher know of his presence before entering. With an easy smile, he marched up to Professor Blue.

"Sir," he greeted formally, handing the list of preferences over to the teacher, before getting down on his knee to wait for further instructions.

Professor Blue hadn't had a chance to go back up to his area and take a seat before Petro bound into the room with a smile and a formal greeting, handing him a piece of paper in the process. He didn't even have a chance to fantasize that it was a love letter from Red! It was another student looking to join in on his class and they have a completely filled out preference list. After what he got from Aksaja, the teacher was pleased.

"One moment," he said as he wandered back over to his closet. He disappeared for a moment as he slipped inside to get an instrument. He seemed to spend an especially long time in the closet compared to the time he had spent for the other students. Was it possible he was actually looking at their preference sheet and thinking about it? No, it was probably more likely he got lost in there. He finally came out with a case in his hand as he walked back over to Petro.

"A saxophone," he said as he handed the case to Petro.

Calder came holding nothing but his harmonica, looking at it with great distaste. He had done as told, having gone over to Ren's to help the boil pratice and bringing along his poor alternative instrument. Wanting to at least do a little bit better, he had blown through the instrument countless times, deciding to also bring it with him whenever he had a free moment to try it out. It went in his pocket, saddle bag, or sporran. With all the travelling Calder did, he had managed to loose the tiny instrument twice. Once in a river and another time it had just fallen under his bookcase. After some cleaning and pulling out a persistent bit of swamp grass from the harmonica's teeth, it looked.............well, it still looked like a harmonica. That's all he could say.

Huffing, Calder wished this class would be over or they would get to pick their own instruments soon. His poor bagpipes were left in his dorm, untouched and depressed. He was sure they were depressed because he was playing some other instrument and not showing them any love.

The only upside was that it looked as if they didn't have to sign in. Good. He didn't need a bleeding finger to start his day.

Petro rose when the teacher returned to hand him a case and tell him it contained a saxophone. A... a what? Brows knitted together in confusion at the item he'd been given. Truth be told he only recognized a few of the instruments on the paper and promptly randomly numbered everything else. "Thank y', Sir," he nodded to the teacher and moved to find a seat so he could examine what it was he'd been given.

Opening the case, the monster horse stared at the instrument he was now supposed to play. His expression could only be interpreted as one of utter befuddlement. Jack damn it, how was one supposed to play this thing? He brought it out of the case, staring at the one end, then the other, thinking it was some bizarre, conjoined boomerang.

Retreating from the (evil) music stand then, Aksaja moved over to plop down in a seat, currently engaged in what could really only be called 'sulking', though he would deny it if such a thing was pointed out to him. Glancing over toward the other clearly new students, Malodore and Petro, Aksaja eyed their instruments.

"At least you guys didn't get some tiny little wimpy thing like this." Was he whining? Yes, it was possible that he was.

The tikbalang welcomed the sight of familiar faces, actually he just welcomed any distraction from the thing he was now supposed to learn to play. Was he complaining? Maybe. But just to himself. This was what the teacher gave him, and by Jack, he was going to learn it. Or die trying. Hopefully it wouldn't reach to such extremes. He gave the lightning dragon an easy-going smirk when the comparison of instruments were being made. The small instrument looked so simple to play compared to the larger brass instrument Tro held. Actually, if given the chance, he wouldn't have minded being given that.

"Ain't 'bout size, 's it? 'S how well it can play out y'r inner music'r something. Least y' can figure out which end music's s'pposed to come outta. Mine looks more like 'm s'pposed to beat someone with it," he chuckled. Not that he would do something like that. Musical instruments were sacred things in his clan, meant for festivals and courtship and other special events. It'd only be used to bash heads in as a last resort. "Y' worried y' might break it?" It sounded like something that could be done by the stronger students. And if Aksaka had survived the island, well, Tro didn't doubt the lightning dragon's strength.

Rosc was not in a very good mood as he carefully brought the harp back into the music class. And it really had nothing to do with class or the other students or even the harp. Well, it did have to do with the harp, but not having to play it or anything like that. He'd actually gotten a nice bit of practice in before checking in on Sin and how things were going for her. She had been practicing too, and had a lot more difficult time with it. He could understand, breath-powered instruments were not easy at all. He had tried a good number of different instruments with Rosanna before he got to his cello.

No, Rosc was mad because of Bob.
He had gone out to have a late lunch the other day and when he came back, that stupid crow had gotten out of the closet. Rosc had come in to find Bob on top of the harp, wings spread as he cawed angrily down at Ban, who was barking right back. His Trickster knew better than to get too close to the instrument, lest something happen and the harp tip over. Rosc had chased the stupid bird off of the instrument, but the damn crow had gouged a few scratches into the wood. Which wouldn't have happened if he had a case for the harp.

And it was less that Rosc was afraid of what Blue would think. No, he was just annoyed that the stupid creature had damaged the instrument. It would still play the same, but it wasn't like it was his, wasn't a cut string he could replace.
"Gonna have that useless ball of feathers stuffed," he muttered under his breath as he hefted the harp over to a seat and sat down, a fair bit winded from having to carry it from his dorm.

West was feeling slightly apprehensive about attending music class this time around, much to his private embarrassment. The last time he had done so, things had ended rather... well, he didn't want to say badly, but, yeah. They had been pretty bad. Class itself had turned out fine. Fighting with that b*****d of a music stand - he glared at it as he entered the room, cradled his snare drum under one arm and gave the thing an obnoxious little salute with his free hand - had yielded a somewhat satisfactory outcome. But the aftermath of that fight, that wild and uncontrollable feeling that every surprise brawl left him with, coupled with the unfortunately necessary use of his FEAR against that weird reaper only days later had been a combination of events he never wanted to repeat.

The drum he held was one of several, and he had somehow managed to keep them all in shockingly good condition. He brought the snare across the room, set it down, then made a few more trips back outside to get the rest of the kit's drums and stands. He set things up in relative silence, looking around the room at his classmates every so often as he did so.

Sepheran quietly walked into the class. He held his violin in his arms gently. He had been happy to have gotten his favorite instrument last class, and he had cared for his violin greatly during the time it had been lent to him. He had played it a few times over the break, though not as much as he would have liked since they all had been whisked away by the field trip and Sepheran hadn't wanted to risk anything happening to his instrument so had decided to leave it behind.

Stepping to the side of the door he stood for a moment as Liannan looked about. One face in particular caught her attention and soon caught Sepheran's as well. A smile fell on his face knowing only one person who it could possibly be, "Petro?"" Sepheran said as he began to move over to an old familiar friend. "Long time no see, you decided to join the class?" the basilisk asked, though the answer was rather obvious.
