Hadiyya had been a little apprehensive about returning to music class, mainly because she had not completed her homework. She'd had every intention of doing so, but things had just not worked out that way, and then the field trip.. She doubted Professor Blue would grant anyone any leniency, for any reason, and that was somewhat worrying. He didn't strike her as a very forgiving sort of man.
Of course simply not turning up at all or returning her trumpet seemed a far worse idea then attending and fessing up. So in she wandered, or rather hobbled. Making her way across the room on her ever present crutches, trumpet held down along the padded grip in one hand. It hadn't been touched beyond bringing it back to her dorm, but one of her mini's had been quite intrigued by it, and put the smallest of scratches beside the mouth piece when they tried to take a bite. Icing on the cake.
She offered the music stand a rather cool glare before moving swiftly past it towards a chair beside where Barth had collapsed over his tuba case. "Oh for Jack's sake.." She set the crutches down, the Trumpet beside it, and leaned over to pull the sloth demon up and into the free chair to her left.

Calder came holding nothing but his harmonica, looking at it with great distaste. He had done as told, having gone over to Ren's to help the boil pratice and bringing along his poor alternative instrument. Wanting to at least do a little bit better, he had blown through the instrument countless times, deciding to also bring it with him whenever he had a free moment to try it out. It went in his pocket, saddle bag, or sporran. With all the travelling Calder did, he had managed to loose the tiny instrument twice. Once in a river and another time it had just fallen under his bookcase. After some cleaning and pulling out a persistent bit of swamp grass from the harmonica's teeth, it looked.............well, it still looked like a harmonica. That's all he could say.
Huffing, Calder wished this class would be over or they would get to pick their own instruments soon. His poor bagpipes were left in his dorm, untouched and depressed. He was sure they were depressed because he was playing some other instrument and not showing them any love.
The only upside was that it looked as if they didn't have to sign in. Good. He didn't need a bleeding finger to start his day.

The tikbalang welcomed the sight of familiar faces, actually he just welcomed any distraction from the thing he was now supposed to learn to play. Was he complaining? Maybe. But just to himself. This was what the teacher gave him, and by Jack, he was going to learn it. Or die trying. Hopefully it wouldn't reach to such extremes. He gave the lightning dragon an easy-going smirk when the comparison of instruments were being made. The small instrument looked so simple to play compared to the larger brass instrument Tro held. Actually, if given the chance, he wouldn't have minded being given that.
"Ain't 'bout size, 's it? 'S how well it can play out y'r inner music'r something. Least y' can figure out which end music's s'pposed to come outta. Mine looks more like 'm s'pposed to beat someone with it," he chuckled. Not that he would do something like that. Musical instruments were sacred things in his clan, meant for festivals and courtship and other special events. It'd only be used to bash heads in as a last resort. "Y' worried y' might break it?" It sounded like something that could be done by the stronger students. And if Aksaka had survived the island, well, Tro didn't doubt the lightning dragon's strength.

Rosc was not in a very good mood as he carefully brought the harp back into the music class. And it really had nothing to do with class or the other students or even the harp. Well, it did have to do with the harp, but not having to play it or anything like that. He'd actually gotten a nice bit of practice in before checking in on Sin and how things were going for her. She had been practicing too, and had a lot more difficult time with it. He could understand, breath-powered instruments were not easy at all. He had tried a good number of different instruments with Rosanna before he got to his cello.
No, Rosc was mad because of Bob. He had gone out to have a late lunch the other day and when he came back, that stupid crow had gotten out of the closet. Rosc had come in to find Bob on top of the harp, wings spread as he cawed angrily down at Ban, who was barking right back. His Trickster knew better than to get too close to the instrument, lest something happen and the harp tip over. Rosc had chased the stupid bird off of the instrument, but the damn crow had gouged a few scratches into the wood. Which wouldn't have happened if he had a case for the harp.
And it was less that Rosc was afraid of what Blue would think. No, he was just annoyed that the stupid creature had damaged the instrument. It would still play the same, but it wasn't like it was his, wasn't a cut string he could replace. "Gonna have that useless ball of feathers stuffed," he muttered under his breath as he hefted the harp over to a seat and sat down, a fair bit winded from having to carry it from his dorm.

West was feeling slightly apprehensive about attending music class this time around, much to his private embarrassment. The last time he had done so, things had ended rather... well, he didn't want to say badly, but, yeah. They had been pretty bad. Class itself had turned out fine. Fighting with that b*****d of a music stand - he glared at it as he entered the room, cradled his snare drum under one arm and gave the thing an obnoxious little salute with his free hand - had yielded a somewhat satisfactory outcome. But the aftermath of that fight, that wild and uncontrollable feeling that every surprise brawl left him with, coupled with the unfortunately necessary use of his FEAR against that weird reaper only days later had been a combination of events he never wanted to repeat.
The drum he held was one of several, and he had somehow managed to keep them all in shockingly good condition. He brought the snare across the room, set it down, then made a few more trips back outside to get the rest of the kit's drums and stands. He set things up in relative silence, looking around the room at his classmates every so often as he did so.
