He used his charms and wits (mainly charms) to hypnotized all the citizens of Russia except the ones who use toothbrushes. However in that world, nobody used toothbrushes anymore because squirrels were now used in brushing (for the sake of convenience)...

Then the squirrels decided to take revenge and took over Russia (and later on, the world) and he got scared and climbed up a tree and lived there for half of his life...
