Trail to the Hot Hprings

"No going back to bed is not an option" she stood behind him and massaged his shoulders gently. "You seem tense..."  

[Mister Pointy]

"No....just....tired....your snoring kept me up...." he said. He noticed something odd. "Hey....what's that?" he asked. It was a weird looking thing bouncing around.

Mikuru walked up the trail to the springs and saw everyone. She tried to continue on as quiet as possible.

She saw the bouncing thing too. "Let's ignore it and have a good day with out anything weird..." Jenny said. Oh the irony. "AND YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE TALKING... you talk in your sleep Lance..." she said still rubbing his shoulders.  

[Mister Pointy]

"......okay sorry but that sounded dumb....we'll have a day that isn't weird at a school fir monsters!" he fell over laughing.

Mikuru stared at Lance yelling and laughing, then tripped over a bug a few feet away from Lance. "Ow... Nyaa..."  

[Mister Pointy]

Lance saw the girl fall. Standing, he went over to her. "You okay?" he asked, holding out his hand.

"I twas meant to be ironic, tis what I do best..." she said smiling.

Mikuru looked at his hand then up at him. "You don't smell... normal... not to be rude..." Her Ears popped up and she took his hand. "Are you... human by any chance?"  

[Mister Pointy]

"Ummm...yes?" he kinda asked. He wondered why she wanted to know. Hd pulled her gently to her feet.

"Oh..." She growled slightly but looked at him and her eyes began to get watery.  

[Mister Pointy]

"Ah crap. Did you get hurt? Hold on." he said digging in his bag for the first aid kit.

Mikuru stared at him and bit his arm gently to get his attention. "Why are you helping me?"  

[Mister Pointy]

"Why? ....I don't really know. Something just tells me it's the right thing to fo!" he answered, smiling.

"It's just what he does... he picks up the strays" she said smiling remembering back to the night Lance had found her under a tiny ledge avoiding drops of rain. A tear came to her eye and she quickly wiped it away.
