Kakashi rolled his eye when he heard what Chikako said, but he kept quiet since she listened to him for once and did what she was told. His eye went back to his book and he began to read for a bit. After he finished the chapter he closed the book and put it away before he hopped over to Kuro and knelt down to him, "Anything?" The Chunin shook his head which made Kakashi sigh with relief. Maybe he was just paranoid, but it still didn't answer where all the animals were. he shook his head and jumped back to his tree, but in mid jump he was suddenly hit with a barrage of shuriken and kunai to the right side of his body which flung his body in to the tree trunk.
(I think its time for a little action)

The rolling in her stomach hit her at the exact time she noticed movement. However, as she jumped up from her tree she noticed it was too late to alert the whole group as she spotted Kakashi getting barraged by shuriken and kunai. She jumped to his side, motioning for one of the other Jonin in the group to come to her. "You - stay here with him and do not touch any of those weapons if you want him to live. Don't even let him touch them. And protect him at all costs." She then turned to the others, in the midst of jumping back and forth between trees. "The rest of you, split into two groups and keep moving - we don't need anymore injuries if we can stop them." The other ninja quickly spurred into action, and several of them joined her as she started heading in the direction that the attack had come from while the other team went in the opposite direction, just to be sure. If the threat weren't still imminent, she would have stayed with Kakashi herself, but she didn't need to waste her skills on him just yet when they weren't in the clear.
[[I was waiting on you to say that - since you'd been leading up to it, I waited. ^_~ So how many should be in the attacking group?]]

Kakashi stayed motionless as a river of blood leaked out of his body. For a second it actually looked like he was dead, but then after a puff of smoke a log was in his place instead of Kakashi himself. It was a good thing he kept his senses sharp or he would have been hit by those kunai and shuriken. He was hiding at the top of a tree looking around. When he saw a four man cell team he put his hands together in the seal of the tiger. He slowly lifted his headband from his scarred left eye. When he opened it his Sharingan was ready and activated. He then began to use both traps and jutsus to pick them off one at a time.
(three four man cells will do....well two now lol.)

Chikako suddenly stopped and put her hand out to make the rest of the group with her halt - and that was when the four people following them made their mistake. She turned abruptly and started jumping higher, the signal for all of them to spread out since the enemy was near. She dodged a kunai sent her way before backtracking the path it had taken, bringing her into close combat with her attacker. Within such close range, the ninja across from her resorted to taijutsu, which normally would have given him the advantage since he was male - but Chikako had been trained specially for such situations and was ready for him. She jumped back to avoid the fake-off punch he threw at her when his other hand was moving in to hit her with a kunai. A swift upward kick knocked the kunai from his hand and effectively injured the man's wrist, but she quickly found herself falling backwards from his dropkick that knocked her foot out from under him. Turning her fall into a flip, she landed gracefully on the ground before feigning to the right as she dodged to the left, keeping from getting hit by the man (and his many thrown weapons) as he followed her. She heard an unfamiliar cry of someone nearby and smiled as the ninja in front of her became distracted, long enough for her to take him out before turning to go and help the others in her group find the two ninja in the cell left.

When Kakashi finished with the cell he was fighting he walked over to one of the dead bodies and turned it over but he didnt see a headband. He searched the body, but once again he couldnt find one. He rubbed his chin, "Rogue group maybe? Could be, but these guys are to good to be rogues. Could be a hired group, but who would want to stop us?" He shook his head and quickly made his way back to his squad to help them. When he did catch up he found Chikako and her group taking care of another cell. He looked around a bit and when he saw the last cell the made a couple hand signs before slamming his hand on to the tree branch, "Summoning jutsu!" When the smoke cleared his ninja dog team was ready. He pointed o the cell, "Go." The dogs scattered and began to take them out but they left one alive for questioning.

The second group came onto the scene just after Chikako had helped the small group with her take out the third ninja. The blonde girl hesitated on the last one, but she found out quickly that she needn't have worried about taking the ninja out. She glanced around to see that there was a group of dogs taking out another four-man cell, and it didn't take her long to place the silver-haired ninja in the trees. Her worries sated, she turned back around to the group of ninja who had simply been toying with their attacker - the scene actually caused a frown to form on her face, and she quickly put the poor ninja out of his misery before turning to the man who had been leading the "playful" attack. Her chocolate eyes hardened, darkening in anger as she spoke lowly and darkly, "We are mature ninja, Daichi, not teenage Genin, which means we do not toy with our enemies. Tying him up to keep him for questioning would have been the proper way to handle that rather than tormenting him until you knew another one had been captured. I do not care if they attacked us first - it does not give you the right to be cruel."
The man at least had the decency to wince and shift his eyes downward to the ground - and just like that the bad moment was over and Chikako was her smiling self again. "Otherwise, good job, everyone," she congratulated them before they all turned as a group and headed over to the area around the bottom of Kakashi's tree, Chikako lagging slightly behind the group as she followed them.

Kakashi didnt notice the group had come back since he was so focused on the man his dogs were holding down. The ninja was bleeding badly from the bite marks he had received and a kunai in his arm from one of his fellow squad mates who had panicked from the attack and threw it randomly. He looked at the man, "Who are you? Who hired you?" All the man did was grumble and spit some blood out of his mouth. Kakashi got closer and looked in to the man's eyes, "Who are you." This time it was a demand instead of a question.

Chikako sighed as the group crowded around behind Kakashi, everyone's focus on the bloodied ninja. She never understood just what was so amazing about a ninja being kept for questioning - she only saw the benefit of finding out what they needed. Yet for some reason completely beyond her, most others found the sight fascinating and simply couldn't contain themselves. That's how a majority of the ninja in the group were acting - it was kind of like watching kids stare down candy in a sweet shoppe. The blonde ninja did, however, push to the front of the group in time to see Kakashi move closer to the ninja and in time to hear him demand to know the other ninja's name. Her eyes narrowed at the ninja on the ground - something about him seemed familiar.
Said man grunted, glaring daggers at Kakashi as he resisted the urge to spit in the other man's face. However, not many ninja were oblivious to who the silver-haired nin was, and this man was not stupid enough to face the wrath of Kakashi, particularly since the famous Copy Nin had a sharingan eye. Gritting his teeth and wincing, the defeated ninja managed to growl out his name between clenched teeth, "Kouchi Mosayo."

Kakashi nodded with satisfaction as Kouchi gave his name away. He tilted his head, "Who hired you? Why did you attack us?" The usual questions for any enemy ninja that was captured, but kakashi wasnt to sure he would answer those questions. He was lucky the man gave his name. He needed to find out what was going on and he would find out one way or another. He put his hand over his headband and grabbed it, "If you dont tell us I might be tempted to...persuade you otherwise." He began to slowly lift it showing some of the scar he received from when he was a child. His Sharingan eye was still closed, but he was showing he would open it and use it if necessary.

Kouchi simply glared up at the Copy Nin as he spoke, refusing to budge. He shifted his gaze onto the blonde woman to the side and slightly behind Kakashi, opening his mouth to say something to her when his eyes widened. He choked on thin air as he stared at the woman, coughing for a long moment before he gasped out, "Chikako?" He winced, and something odd filled his face - something rather akin to regret. "Wh-what are you doing with this group?"
Chikako blinked, surprised, as the man addressed her over answering Kakashi. This definitely wasn't going to make him like her any bit more; granted, they did know each other which was bound to be bad enough, but still. Sighing, Chikako nodded at the man on the ground. "Kouchi, I would advise you to answer his questions. Why did you attack us, Kouchi?" she reiterated for Kakashi's sake. "And who made you attack us?"
Kouchi's gaze never left the blonde. "I believe you can figure out at least one of those questions, Chi-Chi," he retorted informally, causing the blonde to stiffen. "But I will humor you. I was hired by someone in Kaze no Kuni. No, I do not know his name nor what he looks like. It was all hushed. We were sent to attack you to keep you from reaching Amegakure. Simple as that."
[[I apologize for how late this is. I started college and have been trying to get caught up in group RPs before I started doing my one-x-ones again. Please forgive me. >_<;]]

Kakashi's eye went wide with surprise when the ninja seemed to know Chikako and even called her by a nickname. He glared at her before turning back to Kouchi, "Were does this Kaze no Kuni live or operate?" This info was top priority now. He needed to get this info back to the Hokage before something happened. He summoned Pakkun and Bull and waited for more information from Kouchi before he would send the two off.
(sorry for taking so long. Alot of things came up)

Chikako frowned as Kakashi sent her a glare, and she crossed her arms over her chest. Great - now he probably thought she had known the attack was coming, what with how abnormally calm he'd thought she had been earlier. She scowled at Kouchi, however, who simply smirked and shrugged it off. However, before Kouchi could answer Kakashi, Chikako spoke up, "Kaze no Kuni is literally the Land of Wind, Kakashi - Kouchi is simply using its more formal name. The only hidden village there is Sunagakure, but I believe there are others throughout it, though probably none in which ninja are centered." She looked back at Kouchi, her eyes darkening in what he knew was anger. "Was the man who hired you working within a group or was he on his own?"
Kouchi sighed, shrugging. "Like I said, I never even met the man, so I couldn't tell you much about him - so as far as I actually know, he could be anyone from anywhere."

Kakashi nodded and wrote down everything on a piece of parchment before he gave it to Pakkun and Bull, "Be quick. The Hokage needs to know this." Both the dogs nodded before they took off for Konoha. He turned back to Kouchi and rubbed his chin, "Well. Since you dont know anything else your of no use to us anymore." He pulled out a kunai and glanced at the remaining dogs which were holding the ninja down. He could see the fear in the man's eye as his grip tightened on the handle. He then threw it at him making it stick right between the man's eyes. He looked back to his team, "Hide the body and blood. If what he said was true then their will be more of them. From now on when ever we rest two people will be on watch. When we sleep at least one person will be on guard. Shifts of 2 hours will do. Understood?" When he only got a response of mumbles he frowned, "Understood?!?" Thats when he got yes's or yes sir's from the group. He then looked at Chikako, "And you. You and I need to talk."

Though Chikako had never truly liked Kouchi or gotten along with him too well, she still winced when Kakashi threw a kunai in between the other ninja's eyes, even if she didn't look away from the sight. She wasn't squeamish, even when it came to people she knew - though it certainly did affect her at least a little bit. She wasn't exactly "happy" to see him die, but she couldn't say she was truly that upset about it either. Kouchi had been mainly an acquaintance - no one she really spoke to often, and even then it wasn't like she had seen him in the past ten years. Her eyes slowly shifted up to look at Kakashi as he started giving orders, ones of which she didn't even care to respond to as the whole group mumbled in response. She still didn't answer as he snapped at them all to get an actual response (it wasn't like he was really her leader, and she had known he'd amp it all up from that point on until they reached Amegakure). When Kakashi looked directly at her and spoke, her internal alarms went off. 'Great - a talk with Kakashi. Just what I've always wanted!' Clearing her throat, Chikako looked him levelly in the eye and held up her right hand, making a flourish with it. "Lead the way, Hatake-san," she replied evenly, refusing to show any cowardice to him.
