Cap listened to the woman and thought for a moment. He could let her stay at his place for the night, the agents most likely wouldn't look so close to New Haven for the woman. He paused for a moment before saying, "Well you could crash at my place for tonight. I live just outside New Haven, I doubt they would look for us there. As for alternate routes... I say we just take the train going the opposite direction actually. I doubt they would think we'd turn around at this point." Cap hoped that it didn't sound like he was just trying to get her into his apartment, since it wasn't his intention at all. He glanced around again, unlike Jade, he wasn't taking in the sights, he had seen the old city enough times in his line of work. He looked back to Jade and said, "Well whatever we do, we should probably get out of here quickly." Cap turned and headed down the platform to get to the other side, and catch the next train going in the direction of New Haven.

Jade listend to Cap. Was he really trying to get her into his apartment like this? Could it all be a set up from the get go? New Haven?!?!? How did he live near there, that place was pretty much off limits to everyone but a very small percent of the population. She followed behind him instinctly but said nothing for a while.
Once the second train came she stepped on behind Cap and took a seat. "So you mean to tell me that you are able to live near New Haven??? How did you manage that?" she asked him. She wasn't scared, if he tried to hurt her, he'd be surprised at the things that she could do. She had NEVER even attempted to go into this direction of Empire City, what could she expect.
"Wait if we're trying to avoid trouble...why would I go to a place that's filled with people who run this s**t hole of a government?" she asked him as her eye brow went up in a questioning manner. She just hoped this wasn't a trap...she was too tired to fight honestly.

Cap smiled lightly and took a seat on the train, two seats over from Jade. He laughed lightly and said, "I saved up a lot of money and called in a few favors I was owed." He sat back and relaxed a bit, he could afford to at this point. He looked over at her when she questioned him about why they were heading closer to the epicenter of the government in Empire city. He laughed lightly again and replied, "The last place people look is right under their noses. In my experience, they wouldn't even think that someone would be hiding so close to them. It's like they think they emanate an aura of pureness, and that there's no way people of a lower class can be anywhere near there. You don't have anything to worry about, it's not a trap or anything like that." He smiled and sat back again, relaxing and taking a deep breath. He was tired too, he was just going to go home, get himself a drink and sleep on the couch tonight. He was at the nightclub to relax, as he had just got done with a particularly stressful job, and hadn't had a chance to rest. The train sped along the tracks, passing through the lights of downtown and towards the "shining beacon" of New Haven.

Jade listened to Cap explaining how he acquired his place of living. As he explained the method to his madness, she listened. The white haired man did have a point. When he mentioned it wasn't a trap, it kind of eased her spirits.
The ride was just about 45 minutes as the lights to New Haven grew brighter. The scenery also changed, it was no longer congested with the life of the city but it seemed more serene. There were roads and businesses as well but it seemed more clean. The architecture was amazing and the smell of fresh air filled her lungs for the first time.
"This is definitely way different than what I'm used to" she told him bluntly. As the train came to a screeching stop, she looked outside. There were policeman. "Um...seems like they're checking residency" she said with no fear in her voice. "I thought you said this was a safe plan" she said rolling her eyes.
Looking as the doors opened, she pushed Cap outside towards the men as she teleported from where she stood to an alley right up the way, leaving nothing but sakura peddles on the ground where she stood. Hopefully Cap would see her after he was checked.

Cap glanced out the window of the train when Jade pointed out that the police seemed to be checking for something. "It'll be fine if you just- whoa!" With that Cap was pushed out of the train and stumbled slightly. He looked behind him and saw nothing but a few petals. He simply shrugged it off and turned forward, coming face to face with a police officer. Sighing he handed the man his ID card and was soon on his way. He sighed and rounded a corner, passing by an alley he stopped and said to Jade who was standing nearby, "You could have told me you were about to do that. But no matter, shall we go?" He shrugged and continued walking, heading for his apartment down the street. When he reached the door to his apartment, he sighed and took his key out, unlocking it and opening the door and stepping inside. "Lights. Music, low. Drink." Cap said, and the lights in the apartment flipped on, his sound system turned on quietly and started playing music at a low volume, and a bottle of beer was produced from his fridge via an intricate mechanism involving various mechanical arms and a series of tubes that would be very difficult to explain. He took the drink and sat on the couch, sighing comfortably he said, "Make yourself at home, the bathroom is down the hall, the bedroom is opposite, laundry room at the end of the hall. You can sleep in the bedroom I'll sleep on the couch."

Jade was surprised when Cap didn't ask any questions. When they got to his apartment it was a large building that seemed to house thousands and in the corridors were beautiful decorations. She was amazed at the scenery and when he opened up his apartment when he spoke and everything happened it took all of her not to gasp.
The music was very settling as she looked at him. "This is a nice place" she said to him. She didn't drink beer so she took note of what he had said. She would go and take a shower but she had no clothing. "...um, do you have anything I could wear while I sleep here?" she asked him.
She then went into the rather large bathroom as it began to light up. Looking around she approached a tub like shower. Before she could reach for the dial the water came on and temperature adjusted. "....must be nice" she said muttering to herself. She then peaked out the door. "If you can just get me something to sleep in and place it on the counter here" she said as she stripped and climbed into the shower pod to get clean.

Cap took a sip of his drink and listened to his music. Apparently she liked the apartment,, he figured she would, as it was a lot different from the ones in downtown and the old city. He paused his drinking when she asked if he had anything she could sleep in, he wondered if he still had the clothes he was going to give to his girlfriend before she broke up with him. He thought for a moment and said, "I should have something. Just gotta find it." He stood up and headed into his bedroom, the lights turning on as he moved to the closet. He looked through his various clothes, the ones he wore for work, and the ones he wore when he wasn't. He dug into the back of his closet and found what he was looking for; a nice, if rather skimpy, bit of sleepwear that was a present that never got gifted. He folded it up and headed to the bathroom, he knocked on the door and then opened it, placing the outfit on the counter, saying, "Here you go, it's all I've got unless you'd rather wear my clothes." He glanced at the shower, the curtain obscuring his view of Jade, but the lights on the ceiling throwing her shadow up onto the curtain. He spared a second or two and then shut the door, heading back to the couch. "She certainly is beautiful," Cap thought as he went back to sipping his drink, he turned the TV on and payed very little attention to the news.

Jade heard the sound of the door opening as Cap spoke. What was she doing?!?!?!? She didn't even know this man. She began to wash her hair as the warmth seemed to calm her and relax her muscles. About twenty minutes had passed and she got out. Observing the specific piece of clothing she picked it up and laughed a little. She put it on and took the towel continuing to dry her own wet hair.
Stepping out of the bathroom the lights shut off and she made her way back towards the front of his apartment. Looking at Cap she decided she should strike a conversation before just going to his room to sleep. "I guess I really lucked up with this little number" she said referring to her outfit. She took a seat near him. "Sorry for the cold shoulder earlier...it's just that a girl can't just be all friendly in these streets these days" she told Cap as she continued to towel off.

Cap heard the shower shut off and continued paying little attention to the TV and more attention to his drink. He heard footsteps approaching and then Jade decided to start a conversation, something he didn't expect in the slightest. He turned his head to look at her as she sat next to him and nearly choked on his drink. He coughed to clear his throat and said, "Heh, well like I said, it's all I've got... It was gift for my girlfriend before she dumped me. I never got a chance to give it to her, go figure. And it's understandable, there's not a whole lot of friendliness to be had these days." He took another sip of his drink, the initial shock factor wearing off, he calmed down a bit. He finished his drink and set the empty bottle on the coffee table, sighing and saying, "You can keep that if you like, I don't need it anymore," he chuckled, referring to the outfit. He wished he had something a bit more... modest, though it wasn't all bad he had to admit, he was surprised how well the clothing fit her, it must have been her size. He tried to keep his eyes pointed forwards, but it wasn't exactly polite to not look at the person you were talking to. He sighed and asked, "So you're a dancer huh? You're very good, I have to say. I saw you in the club earlier. Did you always want to be a dancer in a nightclub or were your sights a little higher when you were younger?" He smiled lightly, still not looking over at Jade.

Jade noticed that Cap's eyes were shifting as she silenced her internal laugh. She looked at him and sighed. She had never really given it much thought. What did she want to be as a child? Safe??? "Um thanks, It's just a way to pay the bills" she said to him. "I really don't remember, I just remember as a little girl, all I wanted was a family and to feel safe....maybe if I could actually go back and do it again...I would've been a teacher or an athlete or something" she said with a laugh. "But I'm a good dancer, so I stuck with it just to help me live" she said to him.

Cap smiled lightly and said, "Well, I suppose you probably make more money dancing than the teachers do, though maybe not an athlete. I understand though. I didn't exactly imagine being a bodyguard, though it certainly pays well." He continued smiling lightly, thinking on how he got to this point. He glanced at the news again, and asked, "So, Jade, care to tell me more about yourself? Where you're from, that sort of thing? If you don't want to that's fine. Also would you like something to eat or something to drink? I've got soda, water, juice, milk if that's your preference. As for food... I can see what I've got." Cap stood up, took the bottle off the table and headed for the kitchen. He tossed the bottle away and opened the fridge, grabbing another bottle of beer and leaning on the counter, looking out into the living room and waiting for Jade's answer. He was still smiling, and now he could see how good the outfit he had given Jade fit on her. He still tried his best not to stare though.

Jade laughed a little at him. When he asked her about herself, she really wanted to just pour her soul out to him, tell him that she was a half-ling, her abilities, that she lived in the Underworld ect, but she had to be smart no matter how nice he may have seemed. She then noticed he asked her about drinks and food.
"Um if you have orange juice that would be great right now" she told him. "Food if you have something light like a yogurt or maybe a sandwich I can work with it" she told him. She stood up and walked towards the counter area he was at and sat on the bar stool.
"Well I'm nothing special...I was adopted at age 8, lived with two great parents who were older, grew up and became the dancer you see today" she said with a light laugh. "I've lived in The Post since I was eight...it could have been worse, I could've been raised in The Slums. I'm the only child and my favorite color is indigo" she said.

Cap smiled and said, Orange juice and a sandwich coming right up." He opened the fridge and grabbed the orange juice and the ingredients needed to make a ham and cheese sandwich. It didn't take long and soon enough, he set a glass of orange juice and a plate with a sandwich on it in front of her. He stepped back and picked up his drink again and took a sip, leaning on the counter opposite Jade. He smiled and asked, "Indigo huh? Well, I'm even less interesting than that, born to average parents, lived in an average neighborhood, only thing interesting is the fact that I joined the military and became a bodyguard. Only child as well, and my favorite color is dark blue." He sighed and stretched lightly, cracking his neck as well. He thought for a moment and asked, "So you were adopted huh? Where did you live before then? Do you remember it at all? Again, if you don't want to tell me, that's fine. I don't want to pry at all." It wasn't in Cap's nature to intrude on people's lives, and he rarely asked anyone things about their past, but this woman was different, he wanted to learn more about her surprisingly enough.

Jade stared at the glass of orange juice and smiled. "Thanks again for your hospitality" she said as she took a sip. Looking at the ham and cheese sandwich she smiled as she took a bite and then a sip of orange juice. When he explained his life she was impressed on how casual he was. The military?!? Now a bodyguard?!?!
Taking another bite as he asked her about before she was adopted her mind began to race as she had a flashback of trying to survive in the Underworld...no child should be subjected to that. "I remember...I lived with my mother and my father...they were killed though when I was younger....we lived near the medical district...." she said trailing off. She didn't want to talk about it anymore so she decided to shift the tide of the convo.
"I'm so sorry about earlier...it's just that I panicked" she admitted as she looked at the white haired man. "I'm normally more composed than that...again, I appologize" she said as she ate her sandwich and drunk her juice.

Cap smiled and waved off her thanks saying, "It's really no problem, It's the least I could do for someone who needed my help." He noticed her reluctance when she talked about her life before she was adopted. He could tell that she wasn't telling the truth, or at least not the whole story, but he didn't push it any further, and he didn't mind when she changed the topic. He laughed lightly at her apology for earlier and replied, "It's fine, really, I don't mind. Teleportation huh? Very cool, and useful in situations like that. Kind of a rare ability though I think. Though it's not as rare as one of mine..." Cap trailed off for a moment, was it really okay to tell this woman about his ability? He figured it would be alright, since she wasn't going to tell anybody, at least he didn't think so. But he also didn't want to tell her since things were going so well, they were on good terms, and he didn't want to ruin that when she found out. His mind flipped back to when he finally told his girlfriend about his psychokinesis; she called him a monster and accused him of using it to keep them together. It hurt quite a bit to remember, so he pushed it out of his mind and continued, "...My ability is... psychokinesis. I can control people's thoughts and actions... Of course, once people know you can, they start to question their actions, start thinking you might have used it on them at some point. Yadda yadda..." Cap's smile was now a small frown, he didn't like talking about it very much, and he let it show rather easily.
