Why is this so popular?

Hmm. I would have to say because it's not stereotypically girly. It's not Bratz where all they do is talk in an effing valley girl accent and shop for shoes all day. And it's not like older MLP where it was all about glitter and love and rainbow s**t.

It's more like a typical bugs bunny/hanna barbara-like cartoon. There's only one typical girly girl character. True, the other characters are a bit stereotypical as well, but they're good characters. The plots are a bit simplified, with a moral lesson at the end of each episode, but still enjoyable to watch.

There IS NO PLOT. In fact it sometimes feels like the episodes are out of order.

Plus, Youtube has plenty of hi-def (720p and even 1080p) copies of the series. BeanyOne has HD episodes on his account.

It is pretty ridiculous, but it's amazing fun to watch (like Adventure Time or The Regular Show).

Cutie Marks are the pictures on a pony's flank that shows their unique or best talent.

Applejack's special talent is harvest apples from her family's orchard, so her cutie mrak is three apples. Another example would be Pinkie Pie. Her talent is throwing parties, so her mark is some balloons.

So I just saw episode 1 of the second season and I can say this right now.

This like all other forms of art has been showing up in my head, constantly pestering me. So after looking at some of the other MLP works on DA, here is what I came up with so far. NOTE ONLY ROUGH DRAFT



I first wanted it to be a pony howling to the moon like a wolf, I think I can still make that happen idk, but its back when Luna was still imprisoned in the moon.

If anyone here is on Secondlife, search for "Brony", theres literally thousands of people on SL running around with Brony avatars, and there's several group dedicated to nothing but bronies there.
