If you like detective stories, I would suggest "Gosick" or "UN-GO".
First,
Gosick is a lovely story around a lolita detective Victorique and a japanese boy called Kazuya. They encountered a lot of strange mysteries which the girl solved them one-by-one. Victorique is a clever adorable doll-like girl which holds a big secret.
"
UN-GO" is another myster work with a more modern background. The hero, Shinjuro Yuki, known as "the Last Great Detective" and his partner, Inga paired together to unveal hidden truths in the world. Later revealed that Shinjuro Yuki should be died already.
