[EXAM] Professor Malcolm (Group 3)

The horse boil struggled against the plant, grunting as he felt sharp canines pierce his skin. Jack damn it, this was not something he wanted to tell him momma about when he writes back home!

The tikbalang was angrily growling expletives in his native tongue. Most of it involved insults involving the plant's seed-bearer being pollinated by numerous individuals for a price.

Petro didn't know how long he was in the plant's mouth. Time seemed to pass differently when he was trapped. But before the overgrown weed's digestive juices could attempt to break the horse boil down into smaller bits, the watch on his wrist began to beep, alerting him to the fact that he had failed his exam.

Jack damn it. "Punyeta kang walang kwentang damo!" he glowered.

Stepping into the classroom, Shun heard the instructions and nodded. Well, that sounded simple enough. It was a bit of an odd exam in his opinion, but whatever. Watching as some of the other students went ahead, he waited, watching. He grabbed onto a watch and waited until he was ready.

After watching the collars move about, he reached out to try and snatch one up. His actions were quick, and he managed to snag two slips of paper before the pup squirmed off.

Placing the slips into his pockets, the Reaper continued to watch carefully, trying to judge the movements of the collars. He wasn't about to start running around when there were traps about. When the moment seemed opportune, he lunged out to try and grab onto one of the other invisible dogs.

Shun managed to catch the second dog, in which he took his final slip of paper. Well. That was simple enough.

Setting the dog down, he just waited.  

[Inu-Mitsu]

The time for their exams had come. The recovery from the trip had been slow but Mitsu was eager to see how she had advanced. She hadn't spent much time with Professor Malcolm but once she arrived the test in general wasn't what she imagined. Though most of the classes weren't.

Looking to the other students Mitsu stood back for a while before she decided to have a try. She grabbed a watched a secured it to her wrist and started the timer. Having a time limit only made it all the more stressful. Finding an invisible dog by sight wasn't exactly easy but Mitsu had her other senses to help and managed to stumble upon the Professor's dog Vlad. She managed to snag a piece of paper, patting the dog lightly before he darted off. Well...that was one piece of paper down.

The lycan moved slowly throughout the strange room, trying to keep an eye out for the collars as well as listen for moment. Maybe she could pick up on a scent. She was a canine too after all.

Suddenly something brushed her leg, Mitsu turned quickly ready to grab but....it turned out to be a potted plant. So much for canine senses. Rubbing the back of her head lightly a little embarrassed Mitsu continued to move trying to find the next pup so she could get her two remaining slips of paper.

As Mitsu continued through the room she once again felt something brush her leg. She was ready, poised to pounce but turned to grab hold of a plant. It was...another potted plant. What was with all these potted plants? 8<

With a sigh Mitsu released the plant and soothed down its leaves in apology. Now where were the pups? Standing to her feet again Mitsu tried to spot the collars but really didn't see any in sight. Were they crouching down or could she just not see them?

Out of the corner of her eye Mitsu had been certain she had spotted something. It looked like a collar but as soon as she looked to make sure it had vanished. Now where was it? The time was ticking down now, she could see it on her watch.

Again she spotted something move and turned to look finding nothing where she thought she had. Maybe her vision was getting bad? She had no idea the pups kept darting behind her to stay out of sight.

[Inu-Mitsu]

The longer Mitsu searched the more she began to realize she was being trolled. Her ears finally picked up on the subtle movement behind her and she paused continuing to look around as if she were still looking. Then without warning she turned and pounced grabbing hold of one of the pups this time and snagging two slips of paper from its collar.

She....had done it. And right in time too as it seemed her watch was nearly out of time. "Professor!" Mitsu called patting the pup before it ran off and held up her now three slips of paper. "I got the slips of paper."

Since Shun had his three slips, he was just standing by, watching as Mitsu went on to start. It looked as if she was having some trouble, but he felt some sense of relief when he saw that she managed to complete the task just before the time was up.

Walking up to her, he patted her on the shoulder.

"Good work," he said quietly.

The Reaper still didn't really get this exam but hey, they passed.  

[Inu-Mitsu]

Mitsu looked at her slips of paper brightly before turning to Shun. "Thanks!" It was a relief to have been able to complete the task. The last time she had been in Malcolm's class....completing the work just hadn't happened. She had completely failed at intimidation.

Looking to the reaper's hands she spotted that he had his three slips as well. "Ah, you got your slips to. Did you have any trouble?" Mitsu had been so focused on trying to find the invisible dogs herself that she had missed how quickly the exam had been over for Shun.

Turning to the others it seemed they weren't the only ones to pass, Roch had gotten his slips of paper though it seemed Levi and the reallt tall horse boil had run into some trouble with the plants in the room. Mitsu was glad she had apologized to the plant she had grabbed by mistake. It seemed they were rather merciless when it came to letting their victims go.

"No, not really," Shun said while looking down at his slips. He found the task pretty easy actually, though if this had been a few days ago, it probably would have been a completely different story. But he had recovered at this point. It was nice being able to see and hear normally once more.

Looking around, he also saw that Roch had passed. Levi and Tro seemed to be a little less fortunate in their exam.

It was a good thing he didn't rush around the room trying to catch the dogs.

Roch headed for an empty space of ground, dropped down where he could watch the students dealing with their plant problems (seriously? Right after he let her free the first time? He wouldn't laugh... much) and pulled out the baggy of jerky that Hel had given him, munching away as he waited for the exam to be over.

He probably should have gone over to Shun and Mitsu, but they looked awful close, probably dating or something. And the LAST thing he wanted was to stand there awkwardly with a couple that he hardly knew.

Besides, then he'd have to share his jerky.

At least he hadn't struggled, Mitsu had experienced a bit of difficultly but in the end she had completed her task and that's what mattered the most. For now she simply held onto her slips of paper while she waited for the exams to be finished before glancing over and spotting Roch taking a seat. The familiar treat he was eating made her think of the Valkyrie and Mitsu wondered how she was doing in her own exam.

Mitsu couldn't help but think of the last time she had seen the punk reaper though. The 'field trip' had been rather brutal on all parties and poor Roch. One moment he was there and the next he had been gone. He had been so worried about everyone too.

Trying to keep her spirits high Mitsu pointed to the slips of paper, "Good job, Roch." She wanted to approach and talk but the last time she had tried she had been shooed away. It was a reaper thing, she remembered quite clearly.
