I speak Cantonese at home, had to learn Mandarin since I was young (in boring Chinese school) and English in school... Now I'm learning Japanese too... and starting to forget all the Mandarin I learned... sigh... sweatdrop

Actually my first language is English but I was brought up in a Cantonese/Shanghainese family. I can hardly speak the language (Shanghainese is my strongest) but I can understand the basics without too much problem. My Mandarin has been improving over the last little bit... of course as a direct result of the tutolage of my dear girlfriend who's Taiwanese. biggrin

huh ? really that hard ? i do speak cantonese, mandarin, english, malay, japs...(abit). and well, the most hard to understand are shanghai and china mandarin dialect......i feel confuse when concentrate listening to it @_@

Can't speak or understand any other dialect except Cantonese. Even with that, I'm not very good because my English and Japanese are taking over!! Heh heh. blaugh
