[1v1] Time for a rematch (Mac/Shun)

Pretty soon, Shun saw Mac charging at him rather quickly. The Reaper didn't have a chance to dive out of the way so the most he could do was try to brace himself. He let out a grunt as the other boy slammed into him rather hard.

Hitting the ground shortly after the impact, he grimaced and quickly tried to punch his opponent in the side of the head in an attempt to get him to back off if possible.

Oh, but Mac was unrelenting. He took the blow to the head, but it wasn't the first time anyone had ever cranial socked him, nor would it be his last. The best that happened was a momentary pause and confusion, but after that he worked to pin the Reaper down, straddling his stomach.

Summoning his FEAR, Mac laid right into Shun, his weapon abandoned for the satisfying feel only punching could bring.

The other reaper was soon wailing at him, relentlessly punching him at this point. Grimacing, Shun tried to retaliate in any way possible. He found it a little difficult to do so in between Mac's strikes however and he was feeling himself become more and more worn with each hit. It didn't help that his left arm was still not at its best.

Mac's fists slowly stopped their barrage and ended it entirely at Shun's retaliation. He was tired. So tired. His fists hurt, his arms were staining, and the numerous wounds that Shun had inflicted on him were beginning to make themselves known.

But he had to finish this, he had to! Tensing his muscles he reeled his arm back for another punch; but still, Shun was faster than him. He always had been. The punch was blocked easily.

Finally, Mac's barrage slowed down. But it wasn't over just yet. Shun saw the reaper sitting on him pull back for one more punch. Grimacing, he blocked the attack, grabbing his arm to pull the boy down. As he did so, his free hand came up to strike him in the throat.

It was probably a good thing he had dismissed his daggers at some point during the beatdown.

Mac's first instinct was to cough, but he even had trouble doing that. The punch to his throat was enough to destroy his FEAR shield, and after that he made no move to attack; but he also made no move to get off Shun. Instead he braced himself with one hand on the ground near Shun's head, the other gingerly holding his own throat, trying to catch his breath of lessen the injury.

Soon his coughing was bringing up flecks of red, blood from damage done internally to such a fragile spot, and poor Shun remained under him, likely getting nice and bled on. It was hard to tell if he actually meant to do this after the Reaper had won, or if he simply couldn't find the strength to get up himself.

It was probably the former, though.

It was not the first time Shun had gotten someone else's blood onto him. Nor would it be the last. But needless to say he didn't really appreciate having it coughed into his face. Turning his head, he cursed lowly before trying to shove Mac off of him. He had won it seemed, so he had redeemed some of his pride in the very least. That had been a rather close call though. Regardless, he would need to continue to train.

His left side was hurting even more right now than prior to the battle. Most likely he shouldn't have pushed himself like this, but he did it anyway.

The shove was enough, and Mac rolled onto his side, and after a grueling few moments started to get up, first on all fours, then his knees, and eventually his feet.

"YY----h-haaa--" Mac was trying to say something, at least that much was clear. But the hit that Shun had dealt to his throat was stopping him, effectively silencing him.

Once Mac was off of him now, and so Shun was slowly pushing himself to his feet. He was pretty sore now, so getting some rest afterwards sounded like a good idea. However, the other boy was trying to say something.

" ..."

He had no clue what he was trying there. Well. He had shut him up. It would have been better if it was Titus instead though.

".. Good fight," he murmured before turning away to leave.

Since Mac couldn't talk to express what he wanted, he merely waved to the other reaper.

But when Shun turned his back, he got a one-fingered salute instead.
