Devin changed quickly and smiled at her friends who were waiting for the changing room.
"You do know that Eric Thompson is in your compartment...right?" Jean Johnson said with a grin.
Devin smiled. "Yeah I know. He couldn't find himself another compartment. So, I let him sit with me. I'll see you at the feast." she said as she walked back to her compartment. She saw Eric's face and laughed lightly. "What flavor?" she asked.

Eric looked up at Devin, amazed that even in the ever-so-concealing uniforms, he still could see her body, and think he was highly attractive. He grinned goofilly and said, "Vomit. Want some?" He produced the open box, hoping she would take on.

Devin shook her head. "No thanks...I don't want any vomit." she replied. Then she laughed lightly, "Sorry, the way you said it. Yeah, I'll take some." she said, sticking her hand in and pulling one out. She tossed it into her mouth before she could see the color. "Mmm. Chocolate milk." she said.

Eric rolled his eyes playfully and got up as the train came to a slow hault. He grabbed her bag and shoved half of the candy into it. "Something for you to remember me by." he said with a wink. He grabbed his things and kissed her lightly on the cheek and then led Sasha off the train with a bright, goofy grin.

Devin placed her hand on her cheek where Eric had kissed her. She could tell her face was bright red and she looked down at Lupin. His tail thumped on the seat, and she grabbed her bag and then led the way off the train.

Devin sighed as she was handed the new list of passwords. Being a prefect would be pretty boring and strenuous. She looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw Eric. Her hand instantly went back to her cheek, which caused some funny looks from her friends.

Eric chuckled at one of his friend's jokes. He felt someone's eyes on him, but he ignored it as the food appeared. He began to dig in as his head of house gave him the new list of passwords, since he was also a prefect, but had just been to lazy to go to their compartment. When he felt the eyes on him once again, he looked up and met Devin's eyes. He grinned brightly at her, and winked. He turned back to his friends, who looked at him with wonder.

Devin quickly turned around when Eric winked. She grinned sheepishly at her friends as they were released from the feast.

Devin sighed as she patrolled the halls. She knew one prefect from each house was out, and she wondered if Eric was the Gyrffindor prefect. She shook the thought away, they never had been partnered up the year before, so why would they be this year.

Eric grinned as he patrolled the halls. He soon made his way down some stairs, and saw Devin in front of him. She looked very lost in thought, and he watched her occasionally place a hand where he had kissed her. He chuckled quietly and caught up with her, snaking an arm around her waist and grinning. "Hey." he whispered in her ear.

Devin jumped and screamed when Eric wrapped his arm around her waist and whispered in her ear. She turned and saw him grinning at her. "God I hate you!" she exclaimed as she hit him on the shoulder. She was about to pull away, but instead laid her head on his shoulder and smiled lightly, since he could not see her face in the dark, because she was sure it looked like a tomato.

Eric looked down at her with a goofy grin and chuckle. "No you do not hate me. You and I both know that." he replied. He then let her go and stepped back a little, his own face red. "So, is it just me, or do the first years, get dumber every year?" he asked with a nervous laugh, placing his hands in his pockets.

Devin looked over at him and smiled gently. "I think you're right. You'd think their elder siblings would tell them things about Hogwarts...but no. They are totally oblivious to everything. It annoys the crap outta me." she replied as they turned a corner, seeing the Ravenclaw prefect go down the other half.

Eric saw the odd looks the other prefect gave them so he said, "Yeah, so what, I'm hanging out with a Gryffindor! Get over it." The Ravenclaw turned to them, scoffed, and walked away quickly. He chuckled and looked back at Devin. "Sorry 'bout tha-" he froze, rapid footsteps behind them.
"Eric! There you are! You told me to meet you back there...and then I heard your voice...did you forget about me!?" a girl wih a shrill voice exclaimed as she threw her arms around his neck.
"Oh right, sorry Lily. Uhm, Devin, meet Lily, my girlfriend...We were gonna meet up and go to the Black Lake after I was done patrolling." Eric said uneasily.
Lily looked at Devin, all over Lily's forehead were the words, I expect to get laid! But her eyes showed disgust towards Devin.

Devin nodded and anger flooded through her. "Yeah, fine whatever. I have to go, I wasn't supposed to patrol this side of the school." she snapped. She turned and walked away, not wanting to be anywhere near the two of them. She felt tears sting at her eyes as she made her way through the halls to go back down to the dungeons.

Lily giggled happily and hugged Eric tighter. "Oh thank god she left!" she squealed.
Eric shoved her off. "Lily! I told you, we were going to break up! We are broken up! I dumped you at dinner for a reason." he said with anger.
Lily stood there hurt evident on her face, "Because of her! For her! She's a Slytherin!" she exclaimed.
Eric rolled his eyes. "I deduct ten points from Gryffindor for being out after hours. Now, go back to the common room, and do not let me see you again or I will deduct even more points." he replied, turning away, and listening to her fading footsteps. s**t...Devin! he thought before taking off down the hall to find her to explain it all to her.

Devin hadn't made it far before she had sat down on the floor and pulled her knees up to her chest crying. She heard fast paced footsteps, so she looked up for a moment, but then looked back down at her knees and tried to bock it all out.
