tamcharles Raymond_G tamcharles Xong I'm a full chinese... But yes we chinese are one of the very special nationalities. We are hard working, intellegent, we don't get fat (normally)and are (usually) good in economics. ^ ^ Economics? I thought it was Math and Sciences. razz At least that's the general stereotype among the "gwai lo's" here. blaugh u got the point man.usualy chinese are very good in math. in chinese there is a skill can calculate any num in the mind.faster then calculator. True true, if only that wasn't based on circumstantial evidence... Nevertheless, there are aspects (yes, even in academia) in which "gwai lo" students do consistantly surpass asian students and that's in arenas of critical thinking.
that has something to do with cultural difference... of how we're brought up confused i came across this topic in my stupid CLC syllabus crying

That's very true. Disposition towards a particular field of study has a strong sociological and cultural aspect but biologically, I think it's safe to suggest the generally held position that we're all the same. Stereotypes are generalizations and sometimes continue in the face of being no longer accurate or valid.

and theres one more thing, the gwai lo's think we all know martial arts, so we must be strong physically....
