 Rose Walters "Very good Fiona. Follow me and when I announce you join me on stage. If any of the men do anything they will have their heads knocked in, so don't be afraid." Rose said as she took the stage and announced this new hopeful to stardom on the speak easy scene. "Ladies and gentleman let me announce, a special act a fresh young face who has come to the windy city to make it big. Let's find out if she has what it takes, Miss. Fiona the stage is your," Rose said as she stepped off the stage and took her seat on one of the coaches off to the side.

 Fiona HayesFiona felt like a deer in the headlights. There were so many people. From the skillet to the fire. Not even from the skillet; she was just thrown in. 'It's sink or swim,' Fiona thought. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves and pounding heart. Fiona closed her eyes and began to sing. "Gee it's hard to love someone When that someone don't love you I'm so disgusted, heartbroken too I've got those down hearted blues." Fiona opened her eyes and began sashaying on the stage. The nerves had dissolved making Fiona smile and really play up the singing. When Fiona finished, she took a bow and gave the crowd a wink. The good girl wanting the bad boy

Rose Walters Rose held up an 'ok' symbol to the girl and gestured for her to come join her on the sofa. Not bad girl, not bad at all. She thought as the new perspective member of the burlesque house got off the stage. The crowd seemed to like her, and she had a fresh face. This was what she needed maybe a fresh new face would help her to launch the new campaign she had in mind to boost the club to a starlight location that all the 'rebel' members of society would see and be seen.

Fiona HayesFiona stepped off stage. She felt exhilarated. Being on stage seemed natural to Fiona, now that she had overcome her fright. Rose liked her singing and so did the audience. This just might be her big breakthrough. The good girl wanting the bad boy

Rose Walters Rose gestured for Fiona to come over to her. The audience seemed pleased enough, but it would come down to what she was and was not willing to do, and what she wanted in pay. These of course were always what it came down to, if they could make the cut it came down to their real goals.

Fiona HayesFiona skipped lightly over to Rose. "I hope I was good." Fiona crossed her fingers and said I silent prayer that she would get the job. If she got the job, then maybe she could make enough and quit her job at Lulu's Cafe. She might keep the library job. If she did get the job, she might also meet a gangster. Rose Walters "You got it hun I am going to need you here nights, you have nay other job? that would affect your being here?" she asked as she lit a cigarette and offered one to the girl. Rose smiled she half expected the girl to pop like a balloon from her excitement. This might be her big break after all.

Fiona HayesSo Fiona would have to quit both of her jobs. 'It wouldn't be a problem if I made the right amount of money,' she thought. She did hate working at the cafe, but the library was not so bad. "I work two jobs as a matter of fact, but I can quit both. I don't know how to thank you Rose." Fiona looked down at what Rose had offered her; a cigarette. "Oh no thank you, I don't smoke. It ruined my mother's singing ability. So, when do I start? I'll need to tell each of my bosses that I quit." The good girl wanting the bad boy

Rose Walters Rose smiled. "ok dear, you can start tomorrow you get pay but most girls make big on tips buy dancing with the mooks and being seen on their arms. But, if anyone make trouble tell me immediately, no one hurts my girls." She told her gving her the most bare bones rundown. "Come here 'round one tomorrow and I will give you full rundown."

Rose Walters Rose had a strong singer and she was easy on the eyes now she could have her big debut to the town. It would just be a matter getting the right publicity out there,

John Dillinger John took his time getting out of his car, checking for police of any kind before steping out and entering the building. Upon entry he checked to make sure his Colt was still in it's holster and his fedora was still on his head. John then proceeded to walk across the room to a table and sat down. He'd been taking it easy after the recent bank robbery and it was the first time he'd shown his face for the past week.

Rose Walters "Long time, no see Johnny. how have you been?" Rose asked the man who had been a regular from the days when she was just the dancer. now she owned the place. The heat had been on John for awhile, but then again it always was. He seemed like he was in and out of jail more than most people went to church now a days. As she walked over to him she held out a cold glass of beer and a smile.

John Dillinger John smirked as Rose spoke. He took the beer from her hand and said. " I've been fine, was held over in Indiana for awhile. How about you? Heard you own the place now?" Dillinger said as he took a drink and set the beer on the table.

Rose Walters Rose sat down across from him and smiled "Yes,sadly Amber was struck and killed by a drunk drover back in January." Rose crossed herself when she told him what had happened. "But, enough of sad talk I am glad you will be back in town. I am having a big gala to debut a new singer. I think Miss. Hayes will be a bright new star here on the Chicago stage." Rose was happy that she had another friend back in town, having him there would add another element of intrigue.
