Brian Tate "Yes ma'am." A flicker of a smirk starting before he quickly diverted his attention to the man all tied up. His gray eyes slipped to the desk where their was an assortment of things. Slowly he went over and looked over them before nodding his head, "Uh-huh, yes ma'am. I'll see to it that that's all down." Doing it again on purpose as he reached out to take the items, gloved hands pushing the 'evidence' into his uniform jackets pocket. Once he was done he came over in front of the 'prisoner'. This time his amusement was plain to see on his face.
The quip at the end of his tongue was swallowed, however, so as to skip another verbal lecture from his boss. Pulling out his handcuffs and attaching them before undoing her handy knot work. "Alright, c'mon, up." Taking one of the man's arms and helping him get up out of the chair. Gaze lighting on Sheila again he tipped his hat, perhaps a bit obnoxiously. "You enjoy the rest of your evening, miss." Pulling at Gerulf to get him moving toward the rooms door, the sooner they got back to the precinct, the sooner he could process everything after all.

Sheila Locklear Men she thought with a roll over her eyes, she never could understand them. The mad German who shot the lock off her door before passing out drunk sounded sweet and polite. The police officer sent to help her was a rude man and intentionally irritating to boot. Her luck with people seemed to have no end. "Before you leave officer might I have your name?" She asked him as she crossed her arms over her chest. Whatever he told her she would write down and take the liberty of pulling his files the next time he was at work, and if he chose to lie well she never did forget a face and they were sketch artists for that sort of thing.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM The officer helps Gerulf to his feet and he gives the lady a less-than-coordinated nod and begins to move out the door. As they get to the door Gerulf stops and turns back to look at the lady. "Ich bitte um verzeihung, but vas ist your namen, Frau?" he asked her as politely as his state would allow, and he was German, so it was pretty damn polite.

Sheila Locklear "Try English." was her curt reply to the strange man's words. This was a very odd day, and she would very much like for it to end, before something more exciting happened, because she was not sure she could handle that. Being accidentally shot at was more than enough for one evening.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM As Gerulf was escorted out of the room he said "Fery vell, Frau English. I hope ve meet again under better verhaltnisse..." Which shouldn't be too hard, he thought to himself, seeing as we're neighbors.

Sheila Locklear "Perhaps if you are sober and unarmed it would be a possibility. However you have already dug yourself quite a hole. And I do have a reputation as an old battle ax, i am sure there are easier marks." She said with feigned helpfulness and caring. Sheila wondered how much the arresting officer knew, and if he even knew they were colleges.

Brian Tate Ah, so she was probably going to report him. What a drag, women were always so touchy about the stupidest things. With a somewhat polite smile he turned, eyeballing the two as they interacted, before replying. "Brian, ma'am, Brian Tate. You have a nice night now." Tugging at Gerulf slightly to get them both out of the immediate area. What was one more complaint against him anyway? He got his job done and the boss seemed to like him, he was in absolutely no danger of losing his job, or position. A complaint here and there was often brushed under the rug after a verbal reminder to be courteous. Nothing more than a slap on the wrist and nothing else. "Lets get down to the car without to much more fuss." Leading the German man away from the room finally, and outside to where his squad car waited for them.

Sheila Locklear With an annoyance laden sigh, Sheila rang up the building caretaker and asked him to come fix her door. To her surprise when he arrived he seemed more amused than anything else and told her not to worry about the bill. She was not quite sure how to take that but counted it as a little blessing after that crazy ordeal. After putting her nicely typed out notes into her briefcase she burned the originals that weren't more than chicken scratch on bite of paper. The little pot belly in the corner may be an antique but it came in handy on occasion especially on cold nights like this one. Once she finished her tea she took a bath then went to bed and prpared to go see just who this "Mr. Brian Tate" was.

Brian O'CallighanBrian smiled. He held the door for her. "Ladies first." he said. The only polite thing his sisters forces into him. He grew up respecting women. "Nice place. Better then the basement and the coach." He stood a bit straighter since he was a guest. He wondered how much it would cost to rent here.

Shayla Fagan "I pay my way by fixing the clothes of the old man who owns the place, if you like I will tell him you are my cousin and you can stay here for awhile so long as you help pay for food." She did not know what she was saying or why she even said it. Without another thought on it she took off her hat, gloves and coat and tossed them on the ratty old armchair she had salvaged. Shay walked intot the kitchen and took the lid off a pit she had simmering all day. corned beef, potatoes and cabbage cheap easy and filling. Peasant food but pleasant food. as her Ma used to say. "Looks like it cooked most way through just a little while longer, sorry but I only have milk, tea or water for drinks here. Probably should of told you that first eh?" She said not turning from the stove while she added a little more peppercorn and a bay leaf or two.

Brian O'CallighanBrian smiled. The smell of food made him feel like he was home in Ireland. "It's fine. Trying to consume less alcohol. Addicts in my family. Dad drunk half the time, same with my ma and brothers." He looked around. It was a nice place. "Sounds like a good idea. I can't sleep on that coach another night." He back was starting to get sore from all those nights. "But yea I can help with some food. Won't be steak but yea."

Brian Tate The night was chilly, and his breath puffed out in front of him as he came out the hotel's front door. Slowly his gaze raked the street before pulling the German man closer to the car. For a moment he thought he'd misheard what he'd said, then, quizzically, he looked at him. A short huff of laughter left him, a mix of surprise and amusement. "You'll give me your gun for an hour ride? What good will your gun do me, I already have one." The fact that he was being bribed didn't surprise him so much as the offer of a weapon did. Though it brought a serious question...Brian's eyes narrowed in thought, looking over Gerulf quietly. "What would you be willing to, say, pay me...if I were to simply lose all of this evidence and let you go?" It happened all the time, the misplacement of things. And for the right price, well...Brian was not above taking money to make this disappear.
