Zarel Damone

PostPosted: Tue May 22, 2012 10:08 am

Zarel hadn't fully risen when Brantley came after him, but he and landry were in the same general direction. Zarel rolls to the ropes to avoid the dropkick and rise back to his full height

(( rolleyes ))

Landry decided to keep Zarel on the ropes, and so as soon as it became apparent that Zarel was going to avoid the low dropkick, he decided to meet him on the way up by aiming a kick straight to Zarel's side.

Landry's kick leaves Zarel leaning against the ropes at the moment. He should have expected this strategy, but that doesn't make it any less irritating

With Zarel on the ropes, Landry would try and clothesline the big man right over the top.

Zarel is sent out over the top rope to the floor on the outside. not the best way to get a break, but it is a break

Landry knew if he left Zarel alone on the outside, he'd have time to rest and catch one of them by surprise later in the match. However, if he left the ring to go brawl with him, he'd surely end up worse for ware. Brawling outside the ring with a bigger guy never did anyone any favors, and so he took the 50/50 chance that by staying in the ring with Summers, he wouldn't be the one who was jumped.

The Champion turned around to face Summers, who was rising from his missed dropkick to the knee, ready to take him on now.

Brantley had gotten to his feet, and he felt like he was on the verge of winning the World Cup. He looked into the eyes of Landry with the fiery passion he had starting in this company and slowly offered the lock up to end all lock ups in the WWF.

Dust fell from the ceiling, the foundation shook, and the water in the various lakes made violent waves as Summers and Landry locked up in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania. Merchandise fell off the shelves and there would have been mass looting, if it wasn't for every single a** being in their respective seat to watch these two go at it one more time.

...

Landry would attempt to switch Summers into a hammerlock.

Brantley was swiftly maneuvered to get locked into a Hammerlock. The heavens above were screaming in excitement as even God began to watch the match. The arena was dead silent, all they could do was watch in awe. He would quickly attempt to do the most convoluted twirl in history and latch onto Landry's wrist. If possible, he would attempt to do another tiny spin to add some pain onto the arm of Landry.

Landry is thoroughly impressed with Summers' counter, and arches his back to try and alleviate the pressure momentarily, but all that would do is allow Summers to lean down on him and apply more pressure, forcing Landry into a bridge, which he maintains for an impressively extended amount of time before he finally finds his counter. He takes a deep breath, preparing his mind and body for the next complex maneuver, where he attempts to completely flip his legs over his head, while grasping onto Summers' left arm. Now on his hands and knees he would duck his head under Summers' left arm and pop back up and use all the strength in his hips and core to try and transfer fluently in one solid and swift motion to take Brantley over in a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex Pin.

Landry was a man who never ceased to amaze when it came to the sheer technicality in his wrestling. It appeared Landry could contort his body anyway possible if need be as long as he could land a move. Brantley knew Landry would do something to get out of what he was locked in, and Brantley never underestimated Landry, but doing something that Landry had planned took the skill of a seasoned master of his craft. Landry never really looked it, but he was one of the stronger wrestlers in the locker room and he was probably the only person that could pull off a move like this. As soon as Landry ducked his head, the man who had waged battles with Landry countless times in this never ending war knew what was happening. He was suddenly flipped over onto his back with his shoulders squarely touching the mat as the referee counted the pin.
"1!..."
"2!..."
But it was not to be. Brantley was able to force up the slightest movement in his shoulder to keep his hopes of becoming the champ and proving he's the greatest alive.

Landry knew that Summers was too talented to be taken down so early, but it wasn't about that, and neither was his early pin fall attempt against Zarel. Landry's tactic is, and has always been, intimidation through sheer talent. This is why he devoted so much time to practicing and mastering his ground game and his throws, so that he could imprint in his opponents' minds that he was too good to be stuck in any given situation, and that he could control the match.

As Summers kicked out, Landry would twist his body to end up facing Summers on top of him, and this time would attempt to secure a Dragon Sleeper on Summers, one of his favorite submissions.

Brantley was locked in the Dragon Sleeper but he would quickly scramble to his feet as if he were bridged. He would then attempt to continue the flips and twists by trying to quickly turn his body as if he were in a front headlock before trying to push his legs up almost as if he were trying to make Landry perform a Suplex on him by his flip. Instead of the Suplex though, Brantley would attempt another twist and push himself behind Landry. Once landed, the brilliance in Brantley's eyes began to gleam ever so brightly. He would attempt a strong willed German Suplex and with his remaining fighting spirit, he would try to hold down the Suplex keeping Landry for the pin.

Landry, amazingly, had a look of incredible surprise on his face. He had never seen a move like that before, never even thought of it. The audience was equally impressed as a wave of loud "WHOAH"s where heard from the crowd.

"Sonofabitch..."

He said before he felt the grasp around his waist and he instinctively tucked his head and held on for dear life while he was heaved over for the Bridging German Suplex.

"1...2..." Landry kicked out, once again bridging his body backwards to get his feet under him, and land himself in the same position he was in before, which was the chance to lock in the Dragon Sleeper, which he did, indeed, attempt. However, Landry wasn't going to make the same mistake he did before by staying stagnant and allowing Summers to escape. Should his submission attempt be successful, he'd try to pull his most entertaining opponent up to his feet, albeit slowly as he was fatigued from the frantic exchange and the cardio it required, and attempt the Inverted Suplex on Summers.

Brantley seemed to be a little over confident after the series of moves and that would prove to be a massive mistake on his part. He, after Landry's kickout, seemed to not move all that much, and Landry took advantage of that. Landry was able to quickly bring himself back to the Dragon Suplex, and Brantley knowing the same moves would work twice, didn't have a strong counter this time. Lucky, or not so much, for him, he would quickly be brought to his feet and released due to quick Inverted Suplex that was brought upon him. He landed on his face and crunched up into a ball. He slowly started to shake his head as he began to crawl towards the ropes.
