⇋xxxxxUnfortunately, the type of clone that Viki used wasn't able to have paper bombs attached to it. For the most part, her attempt was useless.

Thankfully for Nova, the Mist Stance Style gave him a full second more reaction time than ninja of his rank normally had. It was their mistake to assume that someone with such an affinity to water needed to concentrate for that little bit. Within that second, he bent over backward, allowed the bolt to fly over him, and got back up almost immediately. At this time, Sesame was performing his Acid Rain technique. In response, Nova aimed his palm at Sesame and fired. The Water Cannon technique--now SSS-ranked in power--blasted at him with speeds that would be incredibly difficult to dodge--especially since he was now on one knee, and it was likely that his eyes weren't trained on Nova. Being hit by this beam would mean certain death.

As soon as Nova felt the first rain droplet, a disk of water would form over his head. This would prevent the rain from hitting him. Unfortunately, Ahri would have to find her own method of defense, even if it meant free-falling to get in front of the rain.xxxxx⇌

Ahri saw the young boy begin to stagger, a clear sign that the genjutsu was in motion. She smirked ever so lightly seeing how this was the first genjutsu she had ever used on an opposing shinobi. In a sense it almost boosted the girls morale, eager to try more.However this sense of appreciation was cut short by the malicious force of Viki, who was still trying to muscle her way to Ahri only to fall short once again. Almost instantaneously Ahri began to feel...the rain? It had appeared that she wasn't the only pupil of the infamous Rain Jutsu. However, as drizzle began Ahri too felt the same stinging sensation. What could this have been? She looked at her shoulder filled with the stinging sensation to see that it was eating away at her clothes as well as her skin.

Like any storm the drizzle would become an all out rain, and without knowing any defensive jutsu she was was forced to do only one thing...jump. Just before the storm would pick up, Ahri leaned forward and began her descent. Making her body as streamline as possible, she would begin to make a little gap between her and the acidic rain, however she would find herself still caught in between the storm above, and Viki below.

Viki lined shuriken and kunai as Ahri was watching her partner, Viki then watched as she was still free falling, now Ahri was coming down, slowly closing the gap. Nova may be out of her reach but soon Ahri would not. So as a diversion... Viki threw up and ignited a flash bomb, this would blind all as soon as it went off unless they had some type of eyes that was impervious to light, and with both hands while the flash had been ignited, she threw several kunai and shuriken up towards Ahri; her ranmaru allowing her to see everyones life force only not their physical self but their life force which would show her where they were; lined with paper tags, when they would get within a few inches of Ahri they wold expload, causing shratnel to go in every possible direction. And the good thing about flash bombs were, if someone closed their eyes to advoid it, the kunai and shuriken shratnel would hit for sure due to not seeing, and had they looked and seen, well, even flash bombs leave a lingering effect of blindness for a bit, which Viki would also be aflicted with, however her ranmaru would allow her to see all of their life forces. She may not be able to hurt Nova, but this was not the last trick she had up her sleeve, her last trick would be very...shocking.

Sesame saw the Water Cannon coming in to kill him, he needed to act fast and evade it, then follow the team down. As the Water Cannon came in to kill him, he did that of a barrel roll in order to dodge but ended up falling off as well.

⇋xxxxxAs Sesame went off the side, Nova drew his blade and performed a swan dive off the side. With a wave of his free hand, Nova would use the Water Shuriken technique, launching ten A-ranked water shuriken at Sesame with considerable speed. Normally, their falling velocity was too much for them to keep up with, But Nova was forcing them to move more quickly than usual; he would hopefully get Sesame while he was falling. It was tragic, but at this speed, he would need to rely on simpler water techniques. Either that, or he got below all of them to prep another larger scale attack.

He couldn't help but wonder how Ahri fared against Viki, but at this point, it was outside of his scope of possibilities. If he tried to pass Sesame, he'd probably get attacked outright. In order to reach Ahri, he'd need to defeat Sesame. That much was quite certain. For now, she would have to hold her own against Viki until he arrived.xxxxx⇌

Ahri had a keen eye on Viki while her genjutsu gave a general idea as to where Sesame was. They were closing in on her...fast, and there wasn't much time to devise a plan. "Alright Ahri...this is exactly the situation you've been training for. Time to use everything Papa taught you." Ahri assesed the situation. "Acidic Rain and Sesame above, and Viki's projectiles below, both moving in on its central point....which is me." Ahri had a glimpse of an idea based off an old battle map map her father made her study. A map where a platoon of Rain Shinobi had fought a two-front war. Using her fathers theories, and with no other options...Ahri put her plan in motion.

As Sesame and the rain moved in from above, and Viki and her projectiles moved in from below, Ahri pressed her hands together in a single handsign. On the verge of the flash bang exploding, Ahri became blue, and transparent, as she went from a solid to a liquid figure. This figure quickly became a puddle of water, something unphased by sharp objects and bright lights. *Sploosh* the sound of a kunai, in a series of many, splash through Ahri's mass and proceed towards her ally, Sesame. Meanwhile the Acidic Rain would continue closing in on Viki, and Ahri.

As Ahri closed in on her target she thought about that faithful day in her fathers study. //Flashback// "But Papa....but if the Rain Shinobi were fighting two fronts, how did they survive?" an innocent question of a younger Ahri, only be answered simply by an older father. "Hmph, they used their own enemies as a weapon. Fighing on two fronts does may surround your enemy, but leaves you facing your allies as well. These rain shinobi blinded their team mates line of site, and left them firing upon each other." //Flashback// And that is exactly what Ahri had done. She left Viki's projectiles to attack Sesame, while Sesames Rain would proceed towards Viki.

Sesame had water shuriken flying straight for him and regular shuriken heading straight for him that belonged to Viki. He went through multiple handseals as water surrounded him, becoming a barrier around himself. The barrier of water defended against the incoming shuriken and not only that, Sesame also went through three other handseals and pressed his fingers against the barrier, and released five feeding sharks from the barrier itself, giving more water from all around them to truly form and head straight for Nova. These sharks moved at high speeds and circled around him, creating a raging stream that took away his freedom of movement while moving in and tearing into him with their teeth with each consecutive attack. The sharks wouldn't regenerate after this due to no water being in sight to regenerate them along with lack of concentration on them but his water barrier would remain up and stable for a bit.

Viki was not worried about her partner's rain, simply due to anyone who understood the law of gravity, a ten pound ball and a twenty pound ball if both dropped at the same time would still fall at the same speed. Meaning no matter what happened, if the pace continued, Viki would always be out of reach of the rain jutsu. Ahri was nothing but a coward, hiding behind jutsu, waiting for her partner to do all the work. If she did not have Nova she would be dead on real land. However she could stay out of Viki's immediate reach, or could she. As Ahri started to become a watery figure, she would launch the rest of her throwable paper explosives. Which would meet the falling ball of water that was the girl and expload when she got near, seeing as as far as Viki knew, puddles could not move when falling, with no physical form they could not push off of anything to change direction. Basic physics on properties of elements. Nor would she have enough time to restore her body to a solid form and switch positions. So escaping this would be seriously difficult and when it exploaded, it would be enough to make water evaporate into air. Explosions equal massive heat, a lot of explosions equal extreme heat. Which can easily get rid of water, even if she could turn back to her solid form, the blast would kill her before she could change direction. And thats assuming somehow she had enough time to change back espcially since she was going into a flashback which would stall ahri even longer.

Ahri continued to counter her opponents brawn techniques by playing her strengths to the best of her ability. When it came to the enemies exploding tags Ahri had the ideal solution that could possibly play into her allies hand. As the exploding tags began flying into place, Ahri began to reappear from her aquatic state. Her body from the waist up appeared first, giving an image that resembled a person crawling through a dimensional portal. She didnt have enough time to completely revert her body back to its solid form, but what she had was more than enough to stop Viki. As the rest of her body developed, Ahri pressed her hands together, "Release!" she thought as the chalkra pools within the tags were severed from Viki; converting them to duds.

This whole time Ahri was being portrayed as a coward; when in reality she was simply biding her time. Now that her opponent was without explosive tags, and at range that couldn't be altered thanks to gravity, Ahri was in a safe position to go on the offensive. As Ahri's body finished solidifying she gave a twirl of her staff in one hand, with a handsign in the other. The dance of the falling rain had reached its third stage; a stage that would resemble winds, and rain equivalent to a monsoon. As for the handsign, Ahri was setting up a coinciding jutsu, know as the Aquatic Ambience. This jutsu would make the sound of the rain amplify to the point of concealing all sounds, and on the verge of agitating the Cochlea.

Aquatic Ambience- Makes things very loud for you // may create ear/headaches.


EDIT: ((Im obligated to inform you Mizu that being a Zao makes your Ranmaru's genjutsu awareness basically obsolete since your clan and your eyes cancel each other out. For the more technical points be sure to talk to Fire158.))

Implying you had seen the shuriken and kunai being thrown BEFORE the flashbang exploaded, when the flashbang was thrown first and the shuriken and kunai were not thrown until after the flashbang ignited.

⇋xxxxxAs the Shuriken neared Sesame's barrier, he'd be able to see them. Seeds. When Nova's chakra activated, they would grow together into a large mesh of forestry around Sesame's barrier. It was unfortunate, but he'd managed to get the Five Feeding Sharks out in time. However, Nova was prepared. After pouring chakra into his sword, a large amount of water would erupt from it. Using this water, Nova would aim his palm at the approaching sharks--the Mist Stance giving him more reaction time than normal--and used the large amount of water to fire a widened form of the water cannon technique. It tore into--and through--the Sharks with vicious force; Sesame hadn't been concentrating on them directly, so moving them out of the way would have been incredibly difficult.

This cannon--at its base strength--could carve through stone. In its widened version, it was enough to completely devastate the wooden mesh as well as everything inside of it. This was one of Nova's clincher moves, and one that he only used when faced with an opponent he felt was respectable.
