 Shayla Fagan "Are you Mr. Gerulf or are you one of his workers. I had to finish this custom order and according to my books no payment was made on it. So, if you would be so kind as to tell me who you are before I hand you this package." She said trying to keep her polite business woman tone. Shayla was frustrated more and more by dropped orders and clients not wanting to accept orders and such since the woman left. She hoped this would not be another such case.

Shayla Fagan "My, apologies Sir. but one of my workers left and I had to try to figure out all her orders. I brought you a free tie as compensation for the tardiness." She said as she handed the wax-paper bound package over to Mr. Shreck. "I tried to shelter it from the rain on the walk over to your shop I hope it is not wet." She added with slight embarrassment. She had put it inside her coat but that had been soaked through and she could see the water droplets on the package. If the man was already annoyed by lateness she doubted he would take well to it being sodden too.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf takes the package and opens it. Inside is a very nicely tailored sage green suit with maroon pinstripes and bronze buttons. "Herrlich..." he says under his breath. "Nun der Trick ist wenn es passt." he says, having no faith in the girl he gave his measurements to. He says "Take a seat." motioning to a chair near his desk at the back, and then turns and disappears into a door at the back.

Shayla Fagan Not quite sure what the man said, she followed the gesture and took off her coat. Not realizing immediately her dress clung to her she tried to wring some of the water out of her fathers old coat over the waste basket before realizing how her dress clung to her from the water. Quickly wrapping back up in the over-sized coat she took a seat her face slightly red. Shayla hoped the other man had been paying her no mind, and prayed that he did not think she was trying to put on a little show. as she averted her eyes to look out the small window at the gray, rainy world. I hope it stops soon, or the walk home will leave me frozen... She thought to herself as she waited.

 Johnathan Hartman Just as I thought I was going to be getting somewhere with the german, a woman strolled in out of the storm with a package to deliver. It was a tailored suit. An expensive looking one at that. I'd have to let the station know to keep an eye out on this place from now on. Maybe I was getting ahead of myself though. Maybe he had saved for this suit for some time. Either way my thought process was cut short from something I glimpsed. This something was soaked from the rain, and from the red in her cheeks when she sat down, showed off more than she cared. Either way I wouldn't be able to push this guy with her around. "So where are you heading to after this Miss...?" Public service was just my trade I suppose.

Shayla Fagan Shayla looked back from the window to regard the man. "Who wants to know?" She asked him curtly. She figured he would have some sleaze line to offer her now, since she showed off a bit more than intended. She figured he was some sort of a low life since she had hear that Shreck sold other sorts of appliances beyond the ones that fitted out a kitchen.

Johnathan Hartman Well, she had claws. I could pretty much say that about every girl in this town though. "To you? A guy with a car that can get you wherever you need to go. That alone is benefit enough. But if you prefer to walk in the rain, feel free to put one foot in front of the other." As I leaned on the counter I couldn't help but stare at her. Whether it was the fact that she was the only one in the room, I was talking to her, or the way her dress had clung to her I couldn't really tell. Either way it felt like my eyes were over staying their welcome and needed something else to look at.

Shayla Fagan "Well, Sir. I may look like a little drown kitten to you, but I know what happens to little girls who get in cars with men they don't know." Shayla said with slightly more politeness than previously. Shayla gave him a little smile, "I am sorry this latent delivery has put off your business with Mr. Gerulf." Shayla wondered who he was but it was not her business to think of such things. curiosity was a fatal disease in this city. Hopefully Gerulf would come back soon and be pleased with the suit.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM There's a sound at the back and Gerulf comes out of the door he disappeared into wearing the suit. "Perfect fit, ja?" He walks toward the pair with arms held out. "Zis ist a gut day. You said you valked here, ja? Zis gentleman unt I haff a discussion to haff. Ich give you a ride back to your shop unt zen ve go for coffee unt discuss zis 'Fiona Hayes' unt vai you come to mein shop, gut? Gut." As he's talking he is already putting on his raincoat and hat and heading for the door.

Shayla Fagan Shayla was struck speechless, was he just going to wear the suit? What of payment? Why did he assume she would get in his car? But, most importantly who is Fiona? Her girl's name was Esperanza. "I will take payment at my shop." She said giving him her card. "I will require you to confirm your order slip and make payment, I honestly do not know if you paid already, made a down payment or what the situation is. I will however leave you men to whatever your business is." Shayla said hastily as she flipped up the collar of her coat and started towards the door. Take a ride with stranger and end up on a slab...or worse. She thought to herself.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Stopping directly in front of her and firmly but gently putting his hands on both of her shoulders, Gerulf gives Shayla the most serious of stern looks. "Mein Papa voult nefer permit me to allow a young woman to valk home in der regen. Ich vill drife you. You haff made for me a fantastisch suit, better zan I expect. It ist ze least Ich can do. Unt ich need to pay you." He gives her a gentle squeeze with his hands and motions to Mr. Hartman to follow as well.

Shayla Fagan Shayla was taken aback. He was rather insistent but she had a hard time understanding him, his English could use work. "You do not owe me anything, and don't bother with chivalry. I can take a trolley or a cab." This man must be crazy, she had not known many Germans herself but she knew the hate the world had for them, this man was not long to live if he was so freindly with everyone.

Johnathan Hartman This situation was getting a little too strange. A normal Joe would've just paid for the suit and been done with it, but this guy... something about him wracked my nerves and unsettled my stomach. "My car's out front, but if we're coming back here I'd think it best just to tag along in your car, if it's all the same to you." I didn't want to leave this girl alone with him. I don't know why, but there was just something there... something I couldn't put my finger on...
