 Isolde Callaway Isolde raised an eyebrow before tossing the weapon back. "Well, my little Anderean primate, let's go. We have to get to city center which requires a fun and adventure filled hike through the industrial zone." Turning to the wall she unhooked the grapnel and coiled the rope up before retuning it to her pack. She would not tell him but she was impressed by how quick he came up, perhaps he could be of use moving things to the sub level lab if she decided he could be trusted with who she was. "My name is Isolde by the way." (you can post in industrial thread next)

Isolde Callaway Following close behind the farm boy she set her data pad to record the path she was taking. "Darkness may be helpful now but not quite so when we get to my place." She whispered to him as they progressed towards Danny's home. Besides the sooner she got back to her lab the sooner she would be able to work on the flight data box she had recovered.

Daniel "Danny" Colchester Danny kept the light jog as pace going off to the right. There was a channel where the larger wheels of the harvesters ran that would serve as a tench to hide them for the long stretch back to his stash. He'd look back every once in a while to see if Isolde needed to slow down or take a break. Once they came to the tire of the large harvester, Danny carefully set his items down and climbed up using the treads as finger holds. He surveyed out around them and gave her the nod of all clear. Holding out a hand to help her up he said, "Not much farther now. We need to stay as low as we can for now so the next bit is sure to be slow, but when we hit the next trench we'll be there."

Isolde Callaway Isolde took his hand and pulled herself up "Well, that is good news. That means as long as we do not take a long time squaring away your things we should be at my lab soon." Her face froze when she spoke the word aloud. The lab had been nearly destroyed and her co-workers killed by those who hated them, blaming them for the lose. Isolde did not think he was the type that would kill her for this but sheer force of habit made her balk.

Daniel "Danny" ColchesterDanny began passing all the weapons up to Isolde. Once they were all squared away he pulled himself up to ground level with Isolde and began crawling up past the giant wheel. Once past it he lowered himself down and moved up a little bit to a maintenance hatch housing hardwired controls in for some reason the farm equipment's control panel went haywire. There he took out two make shift satchels. One was filled with food and the other was empty, but soon filled with the armaments he had with him. Securing the hatch and then slinging on the bags he turned to Isolde, "Well Izzy, your turn again to play leader. Oh, and if you give me a general idea of the direction, we might be able to stick to these trenches to avoid sight, especially since you seem shaken right now."

Isolde Callaway Isolde gave an awkward half mile. "Just head to the SRC bio-labs ruins." She said as she consulted her data pad's map. "When we get close step where I do or you will be in for an unpleasant surprise." Isolde figured he had laughed off her earlier warning so she reiterated her point.

Daniel "Danny" Colchester"Okay then, this would be a good way to go for a bit, but then we gotta cut through a facility here, make our way to this trench traveling pretty much to it. Then we just gotta cross the main road." He smile and turned, walking down the trench. "So you got some pit falls set up there huh?"

Isolde Callaway "Very good, but listen the traps are no mere death falls. These will kill I am a student of history and my knowledge went into my defense. With that in mind lead on, farm boy." Isolde said teasing him. It seemed only fair considering how quickly he took to calling her 'Izzy'.

Daniel "Danny" ColchesterDanny walked on at a steady pace. He kept looking up and peeking over the edge to make sure there was no movement. There weren't many infected out in this zone due to the sparse population, but every once in a while you'd run into them, or worse, raiders. Not all the trenches connected with each other, but they were usually close enough to hop from one to the next. "Alright, see the storage complex up there? We got to pass through it and the resident house, then book it for the trench on the other side. You'll know it when you see it."

Isolde Callaway "Ok, got it no problem." She said as she checked her data pad once more then tucked it into her belt. Picking up her pace a little she did exactly as she was told. They were making good progress, and like she wanted she would be in before dark provided nothing got in their way. "You didn't have much to take with you, how have you survived so long?" Isolde asked as they travled along the way Danny had plotted.

Daniel "Danny" ColchesterDanny and Isolde were walking up the other trench just as planned. "Hey, it's like I said, people will scavenge almost anything they see, but I guess most didn't have the mind to check the harvesters. It's one of the reasons I stuck to the agricultural zone over seeking help." He kept up the jogging pace, only going as fast as Isolde could manage without completely burning herself out. "Alright... we should be there by now. I'd say it's your lead from here Izzy."

Isolde Callaway Under her breath she said "You're probably still alive because you didn't seek help. The SRC help no one." Her voice was acidic as she lead him out of the retaining fence and into the 'wilds' where her old lab was located. She jogged up the slopping hill and smiled when the building was in full sight. Once they were near the old security fence she held up a hand and turned to face him. "Danny this is very important step where I step only!"

Daniel "Danny" Colchester"I know I know, I caught'cha the first time." Danny followed as close as he could, making sure to place his toes first a lightly roll to his heel. He picked a piece of grass and would place it low in front of him then lift it up to about his waist. He'd make sure to do this on both his left and right side before moving.

Isolde Callaway Soon enough they were at the old service door. Taking out a pair of wire clippers she removed a trip wire she had set. Once the small device was deactivated she used her electronic key to get inside. "All right Dan come on in I need to rest this behind us." She said nonchalantly. She wondered what he had been thinking as they got closer to the lab. Considering he made no large outburst at its mention or as they drew closer he must not have cared much. Odd considering most blamed the colony's downfall on the bio lab. Rather than the SRC whose foolish protocols and procedure breaks had set up the scenario that led to the outbreak.

It had been two weeks since that shuttle was shot down by the orbital guns, infected were as dangerous as ever and the survivors still were huddled in small groups. But, something had changed the SRC scientist in charge f weapons labs had revolted and was gathering all the survivors he cold. 'Strength in numbers' as they say. He ha used what was left of the colony's old PA system to ask everyone to come to the secondary spaceport. "If we all work together it will be simpler and we will stand a better chance of survival." If you hear this message try to get to the spaceport, if you are willing to work you will find safety if you want trouble you will find there are more dangerous things than the planet's indigenous life or the infected.
