I agree and I like to know your opinion on this. I just can't accept the fact some owners put shoes on them. I think that's painful in a way, I know some shoes are for me sometimes.
It is a very rare case where a dog NEEDS shoes. There is a mutation (if you will) where the pads of a dog's paw are weak, and tear easily. In this sense I do feel it is appropriate for dogs to HAVE shoes/ slippers. This would reduce the risk of infection and further complications.
