The sudden surge of jealousy that struck the ghost was enough to make him stagger, and he jerked his hand away from the futakuchi-onna as if the touch of her skin had burned him. Dark looks posting back in low growl of rage before even realized what was happening. "Shut up!" His own voice, the anger in it, was enough to pull the boil away from moving voice inside his own head, and one he did he realized how very silly the rights had been to begin with. Junko would never stray, she loved him, he knew that.
And yet.. it still took a moment to control his bristling temper. He heaved a lengthy sigh, shaking himself like a dog coming out of the water, and very deliberately reclaimed Junko's hand. Squeezing her fingers reassuringly. He could hear Sharra calling for him through the fog, and he looked up in the direction he'd heard the voice. "Ya, is me, I've got Junko with me!"
It was then Freya emerged from the midst, grabbing at his hand as if she'd pull his and around her, only to pause a second layer, blushing scarlet. No, Seiji was definitely not Herrky. "You okay?" She didn't look hurt, in any case. At least not at first. He was about to lead the girls over to Sharra and Aksaja when suddenly the valkyrie dropped, voice suddenly piercing the hazy air around them. "Freya!?"
Seiji knelt along with Junko, and he to reached out for the blind as she tried to curl in around herself. "Hey, it's alright!" Where Junko had placed a hand on the poor ghoul's shoulder, Seiji went for a more direct approach and pulled Freya damn near into his lap in an effort to jostle her out of what ever evils the fog was whispering in her ears. "It's not real, Freya! You're stronger than this, fight it!"
He had no idea Sharra was also being targeted.

Silence.
Sharra had had enough of silence. He knew that the others must still be around him, talking to him, their voices had been cut off even as he had lost touch with Aksaja. Everything was white before his eyes, sheer fog, and for a desperate moment he almost thought he'd been transported to another place entirely, eaten away like some of his fellow students had been. The nergal boil shuddered, clawed hand clenching into a tight, green fist. "A-Aksaja?! Guys!?"
And then the voice...He remembered the voices, remembered the words in the fog. No matter that they sounded different this time, these specters in the mist, no matter that they touched the very core of him with their words. Truth. Was it truth? Panic rose in his chest without his acquiesce, seizing him somewhere deep inside. "No..." Softly at first, he denied the words, but his voice quickly rose, as though imploring the tendrils of white about him to let him hear something beyond their twisted taunts. "NO!" Baring fangs at nothing at all, Sharra braced himself against an enemy that he could not truly see nor comprehend. "I left them! I left them!"
Emotions coiled 'round his chest, and he took a deep breath in, ribcage shivering its protest as he did so. "And so they left me...I did this to myself...I did this to myself..." His choice. At least this way, it felt as though the boil still had some measure of control over the situation, though he knew that it was completely to the contrary. If he had been abandoned, they'd had every right to do so. "No loyal comrade am I." Just a murmur that, eyes lidding to counteract the sting 'neath his lids.
If he lived through this, he would spite those insidious whispers. "But unlike you, I can change." Each word snapped out, bitter. The fog was a familiar foe, though he'd not seen the extent of its evil, as had the others about him.

s**t. "Sharra?" Aksaja replied when the nergal boil suddenly called for him, and let go of his arm. More fog . . . more whispers, more insanity. Everyone around him seemed to be falling into delusions, snapping at one another, or at the voices he was sure were talking to them. Maybe . . . what the voice had said to him was true. Maybe no one cared. Perhaps he was meant to be alone. To be killed . . . sacrificed.
He didn't want to believe it, but the evidence of his own eyes and ears was starting to prove otherwise. Beyond the voices, beyond having sworn at one point not to let the insanity get the better of him . . . he was starting to doubt. Still, he tried to ignore those insidious thoughts, reaching out for the nergal boil. He thought that he touched him, but even that wasn't a sure thing.
"You didn't leave anyone, I'm right here!" he replied, feeling as if he was shouting uselessly into the wind. "No . . . don't go. Please. Don't leave me!"

Dark brows dipped over glowing eyes as the ghost looked down at the ghoul he was trying to help. She always seemed so strong, and seeing her like this, even if he didn't know her that well, was awful. "It's not really," he repeated. His voice was softer now as he spoke, but he turned to cast a worried glance up to Junko before reaching up with his blackened hand and tugging on her sleeve so she'd kneel down beside him. He didn't know who she was speaking too, but he didn't want anything to happen to her. He could hear Sharra and Aksaja, everyone seemed to be getting hit with the Insanity. This wasn't good.
From the sounds of it the other two boil's were having a hard time of things, and the ghost cursed quietly under his breath before calling out into the fog. "We're not going anywhere, Saja. No one's going to leave you."
With only two of them now in their right minds - for however long that would last - Seiji was quite on edge. He turned another concerned glance to Junko, watching her carefully a second for any signs of troubling thoughts, then turned his attention back to the valkyrie. One problem at a time. Damnit. "We're you're friends Freya. Remember when you first got here? You bet Herryk you could eat a bunch of lobsters." He frowned, trying to think up other instances they'd shared. There weren't many. "And the room with all the TVs, they turned us into Boos, and there was the little man with the vacuum and mustache.."
He turned to Junko for a little help here. Maybe she had some better memories to pull up that would help prove that they were indeed real, and not whatever it was the fog was making Freya see.

Sharra called out in a strange way, as if..he couldn't see they were standing right by him? Junko frowned. "Sharra..?" What was he--ahh! Something tugged her sleeve and Junko scrambled away from it, only calming down when she realized this time it really had been Seiji to touch her. Oh thank Jack. She shook her head, frowning again. She'd stay standing..easier to protect them if something came at them, right? She could protect them. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe they should go back, return later with someone who could actually help the students who had suddenly been so terribly tainted with Insanity. It wasn't like Junko to take this huge of a risk, huh? Ugh.
Freya had stopped screaming but now she was speaking, which was a relief until she realized what the valkyrie was saying. "What? But Freya what...what are you talking about?" She glanced at Seiji again, her hair falling around her in a long, heavy curtain of seemingly lifeless hair. What was he talking about? Boos? A man?
Oh Jack he was looking at her now. What should she say? Uh..um...! Memories, memories..did she have any memories with Freya? They'd never really spent any time together...ever..
...Maybe they really weren't friends.
"Y...you um..kept pinning the same poster over and over again at mine and Lizzy's booth. And you thought I meant you should smush a cupcake against a pinprick you'd gotten from someone accidentally pinning you instead of a poster." Junko attempted with a tiny smile. It was all she had..

Something emerged from the fog surrounding them, and Seiji had time to note the mismatched glow of what he assumed to be eyes before it had lashed out at him and Junko. The claws hurt as they tore across the arm he'd raised in defense, but it was a shallow wound, nothing serious. He was far more concerned with Junko, and as she swatted at the claws in defense he'd curled an arm around her waist to pull her back from the creature and out of harms way.
"What the Jack!" That wasn't one of the consumed students, who the hell was that?! "Aksaja, watch your back, we've got company!" He couldn't see the dragon boil, but that didn't mean something else hadn't already spotted them. if the fog creatures were attacking them, then they all had to be on guard.
"Great, insanity fog and enemies." The irony was thick in his voice, but even still, it was half lost under the anger. "Never a dull moment."
