I need to get a passport soon so I can have it set up to go to Canada in September for Ottawa International Film Festival. ^^
(And I think it's required that you do have a passport now when going to Canada. Before it didn't matter.)

From what I was reading a American can easily travel into canada with a proper American drivers licence. But aparently when you come back the US boarder controll can refuse you entry if you dont have a American passport sweatdrop

Dont know if its ever happened, but apparently they can legally.

Not anymore, you need a passport to get there either way. I know you can pay more for an enhanced drivers license in NY - which has the passport abilities too I guess?

Yeah from what I read a "enhanced" licence will get you into canada....but it wont get you home.

Yeah, but living somewhere illegally has its own issues XD

not my fault that the us won't accept it's own citizen but allows illegals to enter it and help them out -.-
