[FIN] Grand Escape!

The brunette had a sneaking suspicion that Rosie had given them away, and before they even had a chance to try and get out of this mess. Rather than focus on that though, she merely nodded at the man and stood there, waiting for a few moments... But he didn't take the paper out again nor explained, so Sera gave him an inquiring look. "So... what were you asking?" He was standing there after all, after asking them a question that they had yet to answer. Ugh this sucked.

"Have you seen this man," he clarified for Sera. Waiting to see if they would actually tell the truth or not. Rosie's reaction had already confirmed that they knew him somehow.

What was Rosie going to do! of course they knew Yuri! Of course they've seen him. And anything she would tell him would have to be a lie. Oh nooo, but she hated lying! she knew she was terrible at it and she didn't like it. but she couldn't tell this man more, she didn't want to get Yuri arrested.
"... We met someone like that yesterday." she answered "He helped show us around..."
Ah, good, it wasn't a lie. good... at least it wasn't a complete lie. even so it felt just as bad as one.

When Rosie spoke, it severely limited Sera's options, but she kept her expression more curious than anything. "Oh, was that that guy?" She asked, turning to Rosie and quirking a brow, then turned back to the guard on the Rapidash. Ugh she felt so short. "Can I see it again? I didn't get a good look at it."

"Oh, I see," the man replied as Rosie gave her... half lie.

When Sera asked for the poster, he pulled it out again and handed it to her.

Rosie, who's face was still flushed, spoke to the man as she did the polite thing and kept eye contact, even though it was hard and it felt like he was just looking right through her.
Though as Sera spoke she looked over at her friend, letting the man pull the sign out.
"He's wanted?" She asked, glancing over the poster again.

"Well obviously," Sera replied as she took the poster from the man when it was offered, and held it out to scrutinize it. Oh she would not forget this anytime soon. "I mean, why would his face be all over these posters and why would people be looking for him otherwise?" Her nose scrunched a little as she frowned at it, and held it out a little further. "I think... His hair was a little different, but yeah, I think that was him," the girl replied as her expression cleared and she offered the paper back up to the man. "What's he wanted for? Nothing too awful, I hope, given how he bumped into us when we were shopping yesterday," she said in tones that distinctly hinted her disinclination to run into a murderer or something in the middle of a foreign city.

Flynn sighed softly at Rosie's question, "Yes ma'am." Then went quiet as Sera decided to elaborate. When asked what Yuri was wanted for, he spoke up again.

"Mostly petty crimes, but just last night he was charged with assault and the abduction of a noble's son."

Rosie blinked once when he said that, explaining Yuri's crime. Thats what they thought? That Yuri is someone who stole Luke?
this wasn't good, this was a huge misunderstanding, and they have people looking for them here, down in the lower sections even!
She couldn't imagine how difficult it was going to be to get a boat now.
And of course lying was making her feel even worse.

"No... No please, Sir, its just a misunderstanding!" Rosie said, looking up again, her frown furrowed in concern and feeling very small, and scared in front of this man.
"Luke wasn't abducted. He was being kept in that house against his will! Yuri helped him escape, that's all. Please please don't do anything, Luke doesn't want to stay here."

Assault? Huh, that was interesting, and surprise surprise, they thought Yuri kidnapped Luke. Not that that really mattered though, really, because they all... Oh, no, Rosie, don't-- oh s**t s**t s**t ******** s**t no no no no--

Oh god dammit. God freaking dammit.

Halfway through Rosie's attempt to set things straight, Sera decided to introduce her head to her hand. Hello palm, meet face.

A few moments after Rosie finished, Sera raised her face to the girl. "D'you have a piece of paper? So we can write it out for this guy," she elaborated, gesturing to the man atop the Rapidash since they clearly knew a lot more about this than Sera had originally intended on telling him.

Flynn could only stare in stunned silence as Rosie pretty much just blurted the whole thing out. He hadn't even been trying to pressure either of them into talking and it just happened. The little blonde lady was clearly a nice girl though.

However, strangely enough, after Sera's retort to Rosie's outburst... the blonde man just started laughing.

Welp, that was it, she didn't know what to expect yet, but she could only hope that these people were as good as the rest of the people on this island, and would be able to understand that the situation was not as it seemed. Maybe they could just talk to them...

"U Um?" Rosie rounded her shoulders when Sera spoke to her, "... I already told him though, what more is there?" She said a little uncomfortably, but shifted her bag to open the front pocket for her friend. "Here's a pen... I think the paper is on the bottom-"

She stopped when the man on the Rapidash began to laugh, her blue eyes large in surprise she looked back up at him, unsure of why he was laughing...

The hell was he laughing for? What was going on? This surely wasn't a joke - she couldn't even imagine that it would be - so she preferred to think it was entirely serious and wordlessly rummaged through the part of the bag Rosie had opened, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. "Umm.." She frowned around, then moved over to Mordecai and pushed the bag on his head over a little so she could use the top of his head as a writing surface. The angle plus the bag shielded the paper from view, but Sera spared them the pains of looking over her shoulder by saying things aloud as she wrote. "Well yeah," she replied to Rosie as she began writing, "but they need one of those official things, don't they?"

That said, she frowned at the paper as she wrote and read it aloud. "Met him.. Uh, Yuri... Yuri something.... Yesterday, before.. we went.. shopping... Bumped into him again.. after... Talked for.. a little while.... And then... Giselle," she ended abruptly as she held up the folded piece of paper. It disappeared almost instantly, along with the short cry of a Mismagius. Sera innocently offered the pen back to her friend afterward.

Eventually he ceased his laughter and the blonde officer looked down at Sera as she started writing things out on paper. Oh goodness.

"That won't be necessary," he assured the girl. "If you would, please tell me where Yuri is? Is he at home?"

Granted Flynn had thought the man would have tried to flee the island by now, hence he hadn't gone by there yet. But this one girl seemed to know what had happened, and now there was reason to believe Yuri and the noble's son were still here.

Rosie blinked at Sera as she wrote, but turned back to the military man when he stopped laughing and take to them again.
