"We didn't exactly... Run into them," Sera replied with a frown. "I mean, we were looking for them here in the city all week before decided to go look for them in Grand Ile - it wasn't like we just happened to decide to go while they were no where to be found and just conveniently ran into them," which was how Dove had made it sound. Still, she shrugged internally, indifferent to the topic, and started rummaging through her purse while Dove stumbled through her words that Sera assumed were mostly for Rosie, or for Luke and Yuri.

She pulled out a compact mirror which she opened to check her face briefly, frowned at it, then when she was in the process of putting it back into her purse after closing it, she paused and gave Dove a curious look. She had missed them? "Why?" She asked, looking for all the world as if she didn't understand why Dove would miss them as much as she seemed to - because she honestly didn't.

Luke listened, unsure of what to think and unsure of the cause of that unsureness. He tucked his head slightly downward upon realizing he was being addressed, an uneasiness settling in him at the reminder that had left without any explanation to Emil. Even if he hadn't been comfortable talking about things, that was still pretty insensitive of him… He failed to respond for a moment, feeling that a reassuring smile was probably the best expression to wear but unable to produce it in practice, and eventually he nodded in acknowledgment. His speaking skills were in a pretty sorry state.

Seraphine's response drew some surprise, but he didn't comment on it. The same peculiar uncertainty took up residence in his thoughts once more.

As Yuri listened to Dove's words, his brow furrowed more and more as she went on. His dark eyes glancing over at Luke, and waiting until Dove had finally stopped talking for a moment.

The man then unfolded his arms to place a hand on his hip and let out an exaggerated sigh. His mouth then twisting into a wry expression.

"What a selfish little girl."

His words weren't especially loud, but anyone that was paying attention would hear them.

She offered Rosie a small nod in response, then started to answer Sera, after offering a small smile to Luke, not entirely surprised that he seemed to be a little hesitant, even though she had only told him the truth. "I mean, I've spent more time with you guys than anyone else, though it hasn't been much at all--"

She quieted as Yuri looked as though he wanted to speak, not wanting to talk over him, then blinked at what he had to say, freezing visibly. Dropping her eyes to the eevee in her arms for a moment, she took pause, then looked to Sera again, much more sobered now, ashamed, even. "...I didn't feel right about not knowing how everyone was after all of that. I just wanted to make sure everyone was okay."

It wasn't okay. She could tell by the way Luke's head hung that very little was okay. And with Yuri... She knew for a fact that she had caused the tension between them, though as for Luke's, she had barely been involved. After another few seconds, she added, "I'm sorry."

For the entire situation, for not thinking things through, for being so desperate...so selfish.

Lovey tipped her head, confused at the entire situation.

Rosie arched her eyebrows, looking back at Sera, and at Yuri.
Rosie was getting the impression that there was a lot more going on here then she really understood.
Dove didn't seem to happy wither, and was expressing as much through her actions, and expressions more then her words, that remained more subtle.
"Its been a long few days, for everyone. I'm sure we could all use some rest, and we'll start feelin-"

She stopped abruptly when something very large, with red and white stripes suddenly slithered up next to Dove, stopping and lifting his head up high over the brunette girl, green eyes with slitted pupils locked onto Sera.
"Ser..." It cooed, with a tongue flicking out swiftly.

"Oh... uh... Hello." Rosie said, confused as to who this was, and finding it unexpected.

Sera was caught off-guard by Yuri's surprising words to Dove, and her eyebrows raised to match that surprise as she looked to the girl he'd addressed. Why had Yuri called her that?

She had little time to respond, since Rosie was doing so mostly, until an unfortunately familiar Serperior slithered up next to Dove. At first Sera was surprised to see him, too, but that surprise turned almost immediately into quiet annoyance.

Things were suddenly very tense and strange, and Luke's first instinct was to fault himself for it - if not for something he had said during this conversation (which was impossible given that he had literally not uttered a single word), then for his behavior on some day long past, or for precipitating this whole ordeal in the first place. Being the cause of others' discomfort was never his intent, but he was interrupted as he sought words to apologize by the appearance of a very big… thing. A pokemon of some kind, obviously. He regarded it in surprise, his thoughts derailed.

Yuri hardly looked impressed with Dove's words, and seemed about to continue when he noticed Luke's demeanor, and the appearance of a large snake.

Which looked very familiar.

What was Doublestripe doing here? The man decided to keep his mouth shut again for the time being.

Dove stayed quiet, clinging desperately to Rosie's words as she spoke up, suddenly finding herself picking through every word she had said, trying to figure out what had set the swordsman off. However, as the blonde's words fell short, and a hiss sounded above her head, she turned slowly, then leapt out of her place, her eyes huge in surprise and a gasp to match.

A Serperior? She had never seen one this coloration... Though thankful for the break in tension--or perhaps short redirection-- she had to wonder...

what was it even doing here?

Double Stripe's eyes shifted down to Dove for a moment when the girl let out a startled gasp and jerked away, eying her for a couple of seconds before returning his gaze toward Sera.
The snake nodded his head to the side, as if to gesture for her to come along.
He seemed a bit reluctant to wait however, knowing the girl, So he slithered forward coiling around behind Sera with his long body, and flicking his tongue out at her. "Ser- Peri..."

The gesture off to the side made her tense, and her annoyed expression shifted to a flat glare, especially as he slithered over behind her. She couldn't help the brief, disgusted expression as he flicked his tongue out at her, but she merely folded her arms over her chest and glared at him. "No." She was not dealing with that weird-a** chick today. Not. Happening.

Having a giant snake in the immediate vicinity was cause for confusion, but having said giant snake move and coil around his friend was cause for at least some mild concern. Seraphine didn't seem too alarmed by it, so he tried not to overreact, but even so he hoped for some kind of explanation to put the worry to rest. His inquiry was vague and quiet, "Sera?"

As the snake curled around Sera, Dove immediately shifted her hold on Lovey, freeing one hand just in case she needed to call on Sparky. However, the grass-type didn't seem vicious, and Sera didn't seem to be concerned--more annoyed, if anything-- so the girl stilled, her hand falling instead to her side.

"Do you know this Serperior, Sera?" Rosie asked, blinking as the Snake went over to her friend. And her friend, not reacting surprised at all, but extremely annoyed.

LIKE POKEMON LIKE TRAINER THOUGH! Dove would soon find someone walking up right behind her and stopping next to the her. A tall women with hands on her hips. though her eyebrows were arched her visible eyes was half lidded as she looked across over at Sera.
"It's the runaway student!" She burst out, with a wide grin, that didn't look nearly as amused as it usually did.
"Do you know how much catching up you have to do now?"
She looked around at the people standing with Sera having noticed them, tilting her head until she noticed Yuri in the back. 'YURI!" She burst out. "Oh my gosh, we're not even in a bar this time, I feel way to sober suddenly."
