Flynn smiled warmly at the girl, but just continued on. Calling out her name several times as they walked through the forest.

Eventually they came to a mountain stream, which was only crossable through the water or walking upon stones. Flynn opted for the latter as there were plenty of large rocks to use as stepping stones.

As he went, he also offered his hand to Rosie to help her across if she should need it.

"Oh wow, this is pretty wide." pausing at the stream, Rosie glanced along the shore noting how far along it it went, She started to wonder how far it might go down until the man she was accompanying chose a way over through a trail of rocks in the water.
Before she could follow, she blinked as a hand was help out to her

Though Rosie had very practiced and good balance, she accepted Flynn's offered hand, the pink and white riding boots tapping lightly on each rock as she followed lightly after the soldier.
"Thank you Sir," she added politely at his gesture. "You're a gentleman,"

Kiss Kiss, while eying the water with distaste followed over the rocks after the two humans.

"Of course," Flynn said in response to her thanks, a little grin on his face when she called him a gentleman. He hardly thought about such things. Being polite was sort of second nature to him.

Taking Rosie by the hand, he led her across the rocks, stepping carefully to make sure they didn't slip.

"This stream would be dangerous for a child to cross," he mused aloud. Hopefully she hadn't fallen in and got washed downstream. Or perhaps she could have crossed it further up or downstream where it might be safer.

Rosie agreed with a soft nod, furrowing her brow as she looked down the stream again, She was sure that the other volunteers on their sweep this way would be getting further down the stream.

They knew she wasn't behind them, at least not that anyone had found, there was still so much to search though, Rosie knew other volunteers had already been at this for hours. And she suspected hours more if not all day, but that was fine, whatever it took to find Katy.

Kiss Kiss squeezed past the two human's legs as she made her way onto the other side of the stream, perking up, with her long tail flicking, puffing the air lightly before letting herself lower down to her paws and she scuttled off again.
"Rai Rai chu!" She called back to Rosie.

Calling out the girls name again, then cupping her hands behind her ears to listen, following after Kiss Kiss. The wood was getting thicker and thicker the deeper they got in, making maneuvering in a straight line very difficult.
"Did you used to do this kind of thing back in Grand Ile?" She asked, after a while "You seem to really know what you're doing."

Once he had helped Rosie cross the creek, Flynn paused to consider a few things, a hand held to his chin thoughtfully. But once Kiss called out, urging them on, the man followed.

Again he used his sword to clear away some of the brush, but some was too thick even for his blade.

"Sometimes, yes," Flynn admitted to her question. "We were trained for things like this in the academy."

that was amazing to Rosie, though as a soldier she couldn't be too surprised. Rosie didn't know many people from a military background, Though really, from Grand Ile, it was easy to see where a Knighthood played into who this man was.

The day went on, Hours passed, though just how many Rosie wasn't even paying attention, nor to how far they must have walked,
Though the calls for the girl were still scattered about the woods, the day was starting to drag on. Maybe of the searches had to go home, or give up for the day becasue of other obligations. Still leaving an impressive number to search, but there had not been any sign of the girl yet.

"Kiss." Rosie spoke, the girl stepping up to a moss covered bolder and leaning against it, pulling out some water for the warn down looking Raichu.
Rosie herself was ready for a bit of a break, though she could keep going. Her throat was starting to hurt a little from calling out to the girl all day.

Kiss Kiss stopped in front of Rosie, reaching up for the bottle when it was handed down to her, flattening her ears when Rosie pet the Pokemon affectionately. "You're doing great Kiss."

The day was long, and Flynn was a bit fatigued, but he seemed to be holding up better than many of the others. He had been trained for this sort of thing after all, so his stamina was a bit better.

However, he couldn't help but notice that Rosie and her Pokemon were looking a bit winded themselves.

"How are you doing, Miss Rosie?" He asked as he approached after taking a moment to rest and get a drink of water as well. "It's all right to go home if you're tired."

Many of the others had after all, and really no one could be expected to keep searching forever. Everyone needed to look after themselves as well. Besides, new people were trickling in to come help as well and replaced some of the ones that had left.

"Mmm" Rosie shook her head, looking up at Flynn as he walked over. "I'm doing fine Sir, just going to take a quick break, I want to keep going." She said, without any question in her voice. "Thank you though Flynn," she added with a gentle smile.
"How are you doing?" she asked.

Kiss Kiss sighed as she finished a long drink, holding the bottle up as Rosie took in back, then hopping up onto the bolder next to her trainer, twitching nose turned to Flynn as he walked over.

Flynn smiled, appreciative of the girl's determination to go on and keep looking for the lost child. He gave a nod of understanding until his own question was turned on him.

"I'm doing all right. We've got a few hours of light left still, so there's still a chance we might find her today." He was hopeful, but he'd known searches go on for days, and not all of them had a happy ending either. Still, he was doing his best to remain optimistic as he had told Rosie earlier.

Rosie grinned brightly joined with a nod. They had a few hours left, had to make sure to take advantage of those few hours before it got dark, and much harder to search.
"We'll give it the best we can." She agreed, glancing down at the map they had where red markings had crossed out parts of the grid that had already been searched.
considering how much forest there was it wasn't a whole lot, but after staring at where they were on the map, she was amazed with how far they had come into the woods.

The sound of a heavy snort reached Rosie's ears, causing her to look up as the Sawsbuck with massive antlers trotted up to the two humans. letting out another heavy snort and tossing his head back meaningfully.

"I'm glad to hear it," Flynn said cheerfully, before looking up to see Rosie's Pokemon from early reappear.

"That's quite a handsome Pokemon," he commented. Not getting a better look at the large stag that stood before them. Very impressive indeed. However, his brow creased slightly at the snorts and motions it gave.

"Is it... trying to say something?"
PostPosted: Thu May 09, 2013 6:57 pm
"Thank you, I'm lucky to have him on my team." She replied with a smile, though her focus was quickly on Greal as he stopped by them.

"I think he is." Rosie slid up off the rock she was sitting on, stepping forward toward her pokemon who took her gesture and turned quickly, prancing off back the way he came.

"Oh! Maybe he found something." Rosie said hurriedly looking over at Flynn as she grabbed her bad and hurried after her Sawsbucks

Flynn didn't waste any time. Grabbing his bag of supplies as well, he put it over his shoulder and also hurried off after Rosie and her Pokemon.

"I hope you're right," he called after her. If anyone could find something in these woods, a Pokemon that was familiar with its surroundings could.

Rosie was a bit worried, mostly becasue of how Grealhorn had approached them, he didn't look excited, or pleased, even though he rarely changed his expression much from a constant serious scowl.

"He seems troubled..." Rosie told Flynn as they hurried to keep up with Grealhorn, the blond glancing over at the other as they went. Finding herself hoping that he had not found the girl.

Greal took a long bound forward, leaping over a fallen tree and trotting a few cases ahead before he stopped, turning around to look at the humans while they caught up.

Climbing up onto the log but stopping on it as she looked down at Greal horn.
her brow furrowed as she found herself looking at something she didn't expect to.

"Are those tire tracks?" She asked,

Indeed they were, in an aria that was oddly cleared out, the brush and plants around the tracks were torn out, broken and snapped around them like something had forced its way through.

Once Flynn was next to Rosie, the man bent down and placed a hand on the set of tracks, his brow furrowing once more. "They appear to be," he said before raising his blue gaze in the direction that the tracks seemed to be headed.

"That's odd, there shouldn't be any vehicles coming through here."

He didn't like that, not one bit.
