Mmur wanted to assist. Had he been a Death guardian, he might have seen fit to ignore Nergui's earlier unspoken refusal of help in the name of her safety or best interests or whatever, but he was not, so he simply stood by and watched what he could see of her and the bear through the storm. When she had taken down the creature completely, he looked away until she was near, the timely desummoning of his whip the only indication that he'd been watching. What happened on the mountain stayed on the mountain.
He smiled reassuringly as he looked back at her. "Do not worry, priestess. I saw nothing more than a fight from which you emerged victorious." Mmur turned in the direction from which the bears had come, spotting a cave nearby now that the wind was dying down. "That is our goal, correct?" Without waiting for an answer, the soldier hurried inside, cautiously lifting the lid of the only treasure inside: a rusty, old chest. A winterberry pie lay at its bottom, among other things, but he waited until the other horseman had joined him before claiming it.
Quote: 5-6 : A delicious pie with a filling that you like! How mysterious! Beejoux sorry nergui i laughed at your expense XD
