[ORP] What Will Come of Us

Ray just shrugged, lifting a corner of her mouth and letting the topic drop, Obviously she wasn't going to find conversation. But that was fine, he didn't need to talk, it had been a pretty alarming evening.

Looking over at the person He did talk to, tilting her head when Dove walked over.
She made a grin when Dove replied to Yuri's question. "You'll live" she repeated "Damn straight you will." she held her hand out "hey lets see it." she made mention to the girls arm.

A vague, quiet distress took to his expression at the mannerism accompanying her nod, and a small doubt lodged itself in his head. It was Rosie, after all. There was a chance, a very good chance, that she wasn't blaming him. The thought was worrying, and he wasn't sure what to do with it. After several moments of immense hesitation, he yielded to his reflex and moved his hand to join hers. He didn't really have any right to offer comfort, but it hurt to do nothing.

Yuri looked down at the sash again when she held it out to him. Taking the long piece of fabric from her, he looked it over before wrapping it around his waist and tying it in the back once more with practiced ease.

As Ray asked to see Dove's arm though, Yuri said no more. Not really having anything else to say, and just went back to looking out the window again.

She had no idea what to do, she couldn't even seem to get her thoughts straight, and the more she sat there, trying to see the stitching and the stains on her knees, though seeing them make less and less sense.
He was angry with her, she had lost a sister, and best friend in one night, becasue she couldn't be convinced that something bad could happen.

She considered getting up, finding a bathroom before her thoughts became anymore painful, when she saw movement from the corner of her eyes, seeing Luke's hand before she felt it on the hands she still had clenched in her lap.

Rosie took in two strangled, uncontrolled breaths one hand being released as she lifted it up to hide her face in, trying to clench back the emotions that had become overwhelming by the gesture.
Her other hand, stayed where it was, shifting slightly and still shaking.

Dove watched as Yuri took the sash from her hand and tied it about his waist in silence, then looked to Ray. She tensed a little, uncomfortable at the idea of showing off her battle wounds, but nodded all the same, trying for another smile to reflect the grin the woman gave her.

With a little bit of difficulty, she tilted her head to the side and undid the clasp at her neck, her brows furrowed a bit as the sling came undone. With great caution, she pulled it away, then extended her injured arm to ray, clenching her jaw a bit as she fought to get the sleeve up over the wrappings.

The bandages were clean, thank goodness, but as she held her arm up, the limb shook with weakness, and she lifted her other hand to help steady it as the woman inspected the damage done. "It looks lovely... really..." she said quietly, sarcasm thick in her voice.

Ray let out a soft whistle when the arm was held out, reaching a hand up to put a hand at the bottom of the girls wrist, and taking a step closer to the other girl.
"you can see where the teeth sank in, that Absol meant business."
Inspecting it closely she lifted her head to look back at Dove. "Is this your first time being bit?" She asked?

The anger remained - or rather hatred, scathing hatred - but he easily recognized the need to put coarse feelings aside for the time being. He removed his hand from the one that remained in her lap as he turned towards her, wrapping his arms gingerly around her and drawing her into a protective embrace. He scoured his entire vocabulary for any assurance he could offer, but nothing came forward.

Dove fought the urge to give Ray a disbelieving look and a short 'no, really?' at her comment, but shook it off, deciding now wasn't the time for jokes, and if she was serious, it was just the stress talking.

Her question, however, drew a small nod.

She kept her hand at her face, doing everything she could think of to muster the will to just keep staying strong, If ever there was a time she had to stay strong, it was now. Only she didn't feel the least bit strong right now, she felt betrayed, ashamed, weak, and every part of her just hurt.
Any will she had left was only brought down when Luke put his arms around her.

She didn't know why, while she had still assumed that her sisters actions were heavy on everyone's mind. But the comfort from a friend was something she desperately needed right now.
Her whole body shook as she forced silence into her sobbing, only taking a harsh breath in when she needed air, and expelling it with barely a whispered "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

They hadn't let her stay with people she wanted to stay with all the time.
They'd /insisted/ on checking her over despite the girl telling them she hadn't been shocked, bitten, hit or anything else the others had gone through. It being the truth, he check-up had been a short one, though she was told she was 'shaken up' and a little dehydrated. Whatever! She just wanted to get back to the others!
/Someone/ had made her go and have a meal and a drink. She snacked. That was eating properly, she'd insisted, because she wasn't hungry.

Finally she'd freed herself from insistence and 'coddling' as she thought of it, except when her pokémon were given attention and 'freshened up'- now that was okay; the rest of it had just been a delay before she could hurry back in here. She didn't think any busybody was pursuing her or trying to throw her out/dissuade her from disturbing people, but she hadn't looked back in a while as she hurried.
Gummy was out, waddling behind her again, as Henrietta came through the door, looking for the people she hadn't seen since ambulances had come and they'd all come to the hospital.
"Hey!" She did try not to be loud, eyes were a little wider than usual though, looking from trainer to trainer as though she'd hurried here to head count everyone or something. People were injured but moving and alive and there were familiar voices. Her mouth quirked upwards into a ghost of the grin that was usually there.

One never knew with Ray is she was kidding or not, and the women certainly didn't look stressed out. At least not to the level that would affect someone personally.
When Dove nodded Ray mimicked the action, letting Dove have her arm back. "yeah, its pretty scary the first time around, especially with dark types. Its something in their eyes."

Someone else familiar walked into the room, Ray lifted her head at the voice "Hey Hen," she greeted, holding and arm out to gesture her over.
"Did they finish checking you out?"

It took great self control to keep his grasp from tightening - she'd been hurt, and he was all too conscious of the fact - but he bit his lip harshly in response to the quiet words. "Don't apologize," he said, making efforts to keep his tone level but unable to mask the indignation from his voice. "Don't you dare apologize." The mere notion that any blame fell to her was something he found offensively absurd.

Of course dark types were scary, and though Ray probably meant nothing by it, the girl couldn't help but feel like she was making a joke of it. When Ray let go of her arm, she gingerly readjusted the sling, then looked away, turning to see Henrietta as she finally joined them in the waiting room. "Yes... Let's just hope this is the last time it happens..."

She stayed quiet, though she looked the younger girl over carefully, glad to see she wasn't harmed.

There were a lot of things she wanted to say at his words, why she should apologize, but any form or articulate speech right now beyond a couple of words seemed to be much more difficult to muster then she remembered it being.
"She was my sister..." She managed to whimper into his shoulder, shaking her head stiffly. "I told everyone to trust me."

Some people still looked upset, quite rightly so, but Henrietta wasn't used to so much upset in such a short amount of time.
Ray's invitation over was welcoming, and she bounded (apparently, however she was feeling, the movement had become habit) over to her and Dove.
"Yeah..." She grumped, screwing her face up a little as she answered. "They made me go eat! I didn't like it..." The girl then looked between the two, eyeing Dove's sling; it was a stupid question for a hospital and, probably, that was exactly why it didn't appear to be so to her; "Are you two okay?"

Gummy waddled over, bumped into her leg gently, then ended up sitting on his rump, between the three trainers, gaze fixed on some point on the ceiling.
