[FIN] Calling the Shot

Yuri lowered his gun and turned to her with a hand on his hip.

"C'mon, if you're going to call a bet you need to have -some- idea."

He then paused to think it over.

"How about a drink at the tavern? If I hit, you're buying."

They did have non-alcoholic beverages there after all. He certainly hadn't forgotten what happened that one time.

The tavern.... She hadn't been in there in ages.

Dove shrugged a bit, her grin still in place as she wibbled her head back and forth as if contemplating it. "And when you miss?"

"I dunno, that's up to you," he said with his continued smirk. "You're the one that wanted to bet."  

[Tori Honoo]

"Hm..." She stepped around him, looking out to the target, then back to him from the corner of her eye, her gaze traveling down to his feet and then up again.

"Alright, when you miss, you can take me for a drink instead. It's only fair, after all... If you think you can handle that."

Huh... well she was full of surprises today wasn't she? Now she had him curious as to what she was up to.

"All right," he said, turning his gaze from her as he raised his gun and took aim at the center target.

With was a single bang the bullet hit just outside of its mark.

"Well damn. Guess I'm buying tonight." Although he didn't sound particularly put off by it.

She smiled brightly, and moved back to her alley. "Looks like it," she laughed.

She took her time in reloading her gun, glancing to him with a twinkle in her eye. "So tonight, then?"

"Yeah," Yuri said, watching her for a moment before reloading his own gun.

"How about eight?"  

[Tori Honoo]

She smiled, and let off a round of shots, pleased with where they made their mark. The quick rush of confidence was clearly helping.

"Eight is good," she laughed, moving to shoot the gun with one hand instead, experimenting. "Should I try to look pretty?" she teased, adding a wink.

Yuri's brows raised slightly at that, firing off a few more shots.

"Not going to complain if you do," he said back.

This was definitely... different, but not exactly unwanted.

She giggled, shooting a few shots and quickly realizing she'd need a lot more practice if she intended to shoot this way.

"Well, formal it is."

"Formal..." Oh crap, she wasn't going to expect him to dress up too was she?

"So... I guess this is a date?"

Whoa... when was the last time he was on a date? ... Actually, he wasn't sure if he ever had been on something that'd be considered a date.

The look she gave him was a pleasant look of surprise and amusement. "If you say so," she laughed, a little softer.

She then shook her head. "Don't worry about formalities. My time for that has passed for now."

Yeah, and then some, her subconscious raged.

One could almost hear his mental sigh of relief on that.

"Yeah? Well I'm not any good with formalities anyway, so you'll be in good company."

Yuri took a few more careful shots, meeting his mark a lot better this time than he had previously.

"Anyway... I think I'm done for the day. Want to grab some lunch?"

Her smile stayed in place, and she aimed the gun again, hoping he had relaxed a little. She knew better than to expect him to naturally act formal, and didn't want to make him uncomfortable by asking him to. Besides, it really didn't matter, especially not just for a drink in a tavern. He was likely to enjoy it more than she was, though that had been partially her intention the moment he mentioned the drink.

"Aren't I always in good company with you?" she asked in an over the top, romantic sigh, before shooting three times in perfect rhythm. She frowned as two missed her mark.

Her gun empty of rounds, she looked to him at his question, then nodded, collecting the nearly empty box of ammunition and the gun, prepared to return it. "Sure."

"Well, I didn't want to brag," Yuri said with a half cocked grin before putting his gun away.

"There's a crepe stand just down the street from here. Its a good place to grab something quick."

Not to mention crepes were delicious and he was having a craving for them all the sudden.
