SUGGESTIONS FOR THE GUILD or ME?

This might be hard due to school starting for students, but how about dedicate a month to an Anime, new or old but ideally no more then 25 episodes so people don't get bored, and are able to watch all the episodes within the month, and anyone interested can watch that Anime at their leisure and discuss it as they watch. Kinda like a group watch event.
It will also be able to introduce Anime to people who haven't seen the one suggested and, hopefully, encourage discussion with new viewers as well as people who have seen the Anime.
I'm not familiar with the Dramas but i feel like the same can be done there.
Of course this is just a suggestion and you may alter it or disregard it entirely.

Sort of like a "Book of the month" type deal?

I have an idea!

A review sub-forum wouldn't be successful. And the anime-of-the-month sub-forum is doomed to only have a few topics in it at a time, as most people watching the anime are only going to post in that particular thread. So why don't we combine the two? We can change the sub-forum from Anime-of-the-month to Anime Discussion! The main anime sub-forum was initially created for people looking for anime suggestions, and basically posting topics that wouldn't survive long in the GD, so why not leave that sub-forum for that, and set aside the Anime discussion sub-forum for more in depth conversations, including conversation pertaining to reviews and the AOTM?

Honestly I'm on borderline of staying in this guild until I find a better guild. I am looking for a guild with over 1000 (or close to) members. A popular guild that has an abundance of post and members that are constantly active. Yes, I understand that the guild is new but overall this guild could use some more organization in my opinion... I'm very a**l about straightening things out, and if you are looking for a crew member to assist you I'd be willing to help in any way you need. I'm very dependable and trustworthy. Plus, I've seen a bunch of anime, although my manga is sparce... Here's my MAL (myanimelist.net)

A few things about this guild that are all my opinions:

1. The title is a bit misleading, when I first saw it I thought the guild needed help but instead it's giving out recommendations. I would either change it to Anime Recommendations or Anime Fandom or something.

2.I would suggest these subforms:
Anime
Manga
Korean and Japanese Drama
Games (like RPGs or Final Fantasy)
Creative (this is where the fanfic/fanart/cosplay)
Roleplay
Contest (where the quiz or tektek cosplay contest would go)
General Discussion (kinda like chatterbox just talk about anything)
Crew Only (keep this only for crewmembers)
Recycle Ben (where all the topics that have closed will go)

3. Within each Subform would be like topics such as
Anime Subform:
Recommendations (ask us help for anything just say the genre and we will find you anything)
Review (give your opinions about a recent anime you have seen)

4. I honestly dislike everything in caps... It makes me feel unwelcome like a forceful thing almost. And it kinda makes it look like children made the guild... not to be rude I like the guild and all it's just I work in a more professional environment on a daily basis... scratch that I don't have a job I am only 21 and still live with my parents and did I say jobless? Enough about me ... oh I digress

5. Now I would leave the main forum would be just for Welcome and rules, announcements, weekly anime, new anime (like winter 2013 lineup), Introduce yourself, and just keep the other stuff in the subforms.

Well that's all I can think of at the moment if I think of anything else I will let you know.

lol Thought I was the only one the caps were freaking out. Everything is so much more easy to read now.

I have a suggestion. Since we’re the Anime Help Guild why not something like an anime index (you could do one for the Drama Sub Forum too)? A sticky, sort of like a list anime you can view online. Of course we would limit it to legal sources so no one will get in trouble. I could be a simple format like:
Name – Rating – (Year)
4 genres it fit in
Places you can watch it

We can even link the name to reviews written in the Review Forum. Somewhere at the top the current season anime and the Anime of the Month (if it can be found online) can be kept. Even the more mature titles like Hellsing & Elfin Lied can be listed for the older guild members (but of course no hentai). They would just know not to discuss them on the forums.

I would be happy to start this little project if anyone likes this idea.

but I doubt there's many adults in this guild so it would be pretty pointless.

I'm a bit iffy on the actual activity the guild is making. It feels like even with so many members, very little is actually happening.

I like the idea of an 18+ section although I'm not sure if it would be appropriate depending on the age demographic of this guild.
