[RAID] Attack on Rocket

Excellent. Engaging with Rockets. Fighting them.
This was what Lin had come for, what he had hoped for.
He didn't much care for arresting them. The League would want to, could do what they liked. Lin was just here to fight.

Jeeves quietly regarded the crowd from his master's shoulder, while Moriko was returned to her ball. He had as much reason to want Rocket punished, to be here, and yet, he worried.
He caught sight of a familiar face and taped a leaf against Lin's head before pointing toward the young woman.

Lin looked toward Dove and seemed to blink in surprise; he raised a hand in greeting and attempted a smile, but it lacked a certain warmth he'd been able to bring up when they'd met before.

Great personal risk, they seemed to be adiment about making this very clear the the trainers.
And by the explanation of the fleeing Rockets, that they would be going up against them in hopes of stopping them...

Her hand closed tightly into one another, but she didn't take her blue eyes off of the League representatives.
The young women that they had been introduced to by Alder.
Her eyebrows arched a little, giving the women her full attention.
Special operations in the League? She certainly had the air of someone who was disciplined, but she looked like a kind person too.

Again they were given the chance to back out, and again, Rosie said nothing, there was no way she was backing down from this.
With a glance over to her friends and gave them a small encouraging smile, holding a thumb up. Nope, no backing down. "We're been waiting too long for this chance."

Her attention snapped away though, with a start when she heard someone call her name, looking around sharply the young trainer turned, peering through the group to see a familiar purple haired man making his way toward her.
"Andre!" she recalled, greeting him with a bright smile "Its good to see you too!" she folded her hands behind her "Yeah, well, what kind of trainer would I be if I didn't help the League out when they need people, plus its a chance to help Kodo out. Have you come to volunteer too?"

"This group will make up one unit," Petra answered, folding her hands behind her back. "Another group similar in number to this left just a little while ago, traveling in a different direction from our course. I'm happy to see that some of you appear to be acquainted already; we'll be working together and will have to rely on one another. As for incapacitating the enemy, remember that the people we're dealing with are humans just the same as we are. Ideally, there will be no reason to threaten them with bodily harm - pokemon attacks that induce sleep and paralysis work great, if you have access to them - but if that reason arises, do try to limit any injuries caused to as few as possible. We don't expect you to passively take whatever they throw at you, but we do expect you to treat them like the human beings they are."

In her silence, Dove did happen to catch the smile and wave Lin gave her, and did her best to offer a smile back, though it was a practiced smile, much like that she would have given at home in premier.

Stepping past the trio, Ty and Dith, with a dodging look back to Luke, the girl made her way over to the boy from Sandalwood, taking a deep breath before she spoke. "Hey...

Dith nodded acknowledgement to Petra, his expression grim. Reasonable force was reasonable - he didn't want to hurt anyone - but if it was a case of 'them or us', well, it was going to be them.

As them seemed to be waiting for more questions Dith turned back to Rosie, Sera and Luke to greet them properly. Sera... he knew what had happened, and he wished he could have been around for her. She'd had the others so she hadn't been alone but that didn't mean he didn't feel guilty that other matters had taken him away from Kodo.

"Good to see you three," he said with another strained smile. "I'm sorry we couldn't first have met up again under better circumstances. I have missed you all."

Andre cocked his head slightly as his attention briefly flickered over to the brunette sizing them up. "Yes." He said slowly before returning his full attention to Rosie. "I may not live on Kodo but it was once my home, I couldn't just turn a blind eye when there is a way that I can help." He smiled sincerely and reached up to lightly scratch under Velencia's chin. He could sense that she was getting a bit agitated. "I admire your bravery. In fact, I admire everyone who has volunteered. It's not easy to walk into a situation that you know will be dangerous." Well...he meant at least a little of that. "Pardon my manners though." He bowed slightly towards Rosie's two friends. "My name is Andre, I'm sure it will be a pleasure to fight alongside you." His Espeon let out a soft mewling sound as if to agree.

Humans.
Lin scowled, and tutted, just slightly, as he heard Petra describe the Rockets so.
Human in species perhaps, but he could not bring himself to regard the members of that team to be 'human' in the aspect that people were. Humanity was something you used to describe kindness, and he had never been given reason to believe a Rocket might hold onto any.

He subdued the fierce, involuntary expression, though, as he heard Dove's greeting, and looked back.
Her smile was different too, as he was aware his own probably was.
"Hey." He greeted back, but made an effort not to remain so subdued. "Radiant beauty become radiant warrior, huh?" His words, while holding the pattern of flattery he was good at being bad at, weren't as effort-laden nor contained the same attempt at charm. He just wasn't in the mindset not to sound slightly 'flat'; his mind, understandably, elsewhere from such points.

Beaming with genuine happiness to see the Russian man there, Tymiko returned his tight hug with all her might, tip-toeing a little to reach him better. "It's so good to see you again. If only it had been at a better time." She followed his gaze to Rosie, Luke, and Sera, smiling lightly in turn to them and then Dove, who was not far off.

Then she turned her attention to Alder and the woman he introduced as Petra Rall. The truth was she was about as familiar with the champion as she was with the specialist, but that wasn't of much concern to the girl. Their goal was one and the same. When Dith gestured toward the leaders and asked his questions, she kept alert, wondering about their answers. She would have hoped that there would be no significant injuries this day to either humans or pokemon, but it seemed too much to hope for.

Fathom nodded his head to Viktor as he recognized the familiar face. He jumped, however, as the Vaporeon beside him suddenly liquified into a different eeveeloution. At first Fathom thought it had copied Viktor, recognizing the forked tail and gem on its forhead as an Espeon. But then the Transformed pokemon went to go investigate the red-eyed creature atop an unfamiliar young man's shoulders. Fathom blinked in confusion, but did nothing to stop it. It wasn't officially owned by Tymiko after all, and it could do as it pleased.

The presence of this stranger and now Dith only made her straighten more, her hand flexing a bit as she debated something. Dove went entirely ignored. She barely knew the young girl called Ty, who received only a passing glance, and both Dith and Andre received a simple, "Yeah." Her tone was flat, and she was obviously uncomfortable - but whether the discomfort was from being around so many people, from her hand being gone, or from something else entirely, she didn't clarify.

Luke nodded in acknowledgment to Dith's greeting, wearing a calm disposition that was betrayed a thousand times over by the worry in his eyes. He knew it was dangerous, and he was accepting of that fact, but all these people, so many of them friends… And he knew too well how he would judge himself if anything happened. He wasn't sure how to break free of the overwhelming feeling of responsibility that clenched his throat and stilled his voice. He managed a quiet response through force of will, "Better circumstances would definitely be nice." He briefly caught Dove's glance as she passed, his thoughts temporarily thrown by the odd fact that such an apparently purposeful look was accompanied by no greeting.

The words of the stranger speaking to Rosie - Andre, as he introduced himself - felt alien, though he supposed it could only be called brave to forge forward despite numerous warnings and known peril. Or foolhardy. "Luke," he offered in kind. "And yeah, same here." At least there was safety in numbers, as the saying went. That saying stood to be confirmed, however.

A sense of pride was able to rise up a little at the man's words, delighted that even though he isn't a trainer like she was, she knew he didn't pay much mind to the League, that he would still step forward and give him time and risk his safety to help the island fight the Rocket problem.
"That's really wonderful to hear, but I'm sure that with everyone working together we're going to be able to accomplish something good today. Its been a long time coming."

As Andre turned to introduce himself to her friends the blond stepped to the side, still holding her hands tightly, able to feel the nerves causing them to tremble to start to subside a bit, even as Dith walked over to them, she gasped and hopped over to hug the huge man "Dith! you're back!"

It wasn't just Dith, looking around Rosie saw several familiar faces. Ty was there, as was Dove, and several strong looking trainers.

Looking back to Andre, Rosie held her hand out "These are my friends, Sera," Luke had already introduced himself so she just smiled at him before returning to the intorductions, "This is Dith, Ty and uh-" Dove had just walked right past the group to another aria in the team, Rosie blinked as the girl didn't even pause but smile anyway and made a polite gesture to indicate the brunette "And thats Dove."

When it appeared the questions had trailed off into conversation, Alder smiled and gestured to the large vehicle, "All right. Please get in, and make sure you fill the seats from the back to make room for everyone. It'll be a tight fit, for some more than others," he couldn't help but glance at the tall blonde man, "but we should get everyone inside. Once everyone's in, we'll depart immediately." That said, the former champion moved to the front passenger's side and climbed in, though not before accepting a box from and exchanging a few words with a nearby officer.

As the passenger seats filled, Petra climbed into the driver's side and pulled the seatbelt across her torso, adjusting the seat and mirror positions appropriately. Once everyone was situated and the doors were all shut, she flashed the lights to indicate to the accompanying policemen that they were departing, turned the key in the ignition, and pulled into the street to begin their expedition.

"Nice to meet you all." Andre smiled politely, taking a second to remember each new face. "Well, I need to go prep Velencia, she's getting a little antsy." He drew the fidgeting Espeon from his shoulders and into the cradle of his arms. "I'll be sure to catch up with you all later." With one last bow, he turned sharply on his heel and disappeared into the crowd.

She nodded at Lin, offering a laugh that was slightly too strained. "Something like that, I guess...Are you ready for this?"

Mention of her name from Rosie drew her attention over her shoulder, and she waved a little at the group, her expression mostly blank but weighed down, before looking to the leads and heading to the van when summoned. Maybe she would get a chance to talk to them later, if she deemed it safe.

Tymiko bowed slightly at the waist as Rosie introduced them, smiling a bit before righting herself once more. Noticing Sera's missing hand, her blue eyes widened momentarily. Then she met Sera's gaze with a grimace and mouthed, 'I'm sorry'. She wasn't sure if the young lady would notice or care, but she wanted to express her feelings nonetheless.

She wasn't sure how such a thing had happened, only that the last time she'd seen the girl, she'd still had both hands. Ty wasn't about to ask now, though. Mentally she thought Sera brave for choosing to fight even after having suffered such a critical injury.

When people began to enter the vehicle, she followed in after, noticing that Fathom was at her ankles. He glanced back curiously on occasion, but she wasn't sure what he was looking at.

The apparent stray Espeon curiously followed after Velencia and Andre, watching the pair and keeping close on their tail. She didn't look back once at where Tymiko or Fathom had gone.
