[PRP] Jace to Jace

Jace smiled proudly at the compliment, then watched as the pokemon were released, nodding in agreement with Tambrey. "Yeah! You guys go play!" he told them, smiling at their greetings. His little team behind him all perked up--aside from the turtle who only blinked in their direction. Chester, the leader of his team, offered a wave of his claw, then watched as the man's pokemon were released as well.

Jace's eyes widened at the words and appearance of the pokemon, then laughed and turned to his own Charmander as Zap gave a loud squeak and waved at the other Pichu on the other male's shoulder. "Cool!!! We almost match!"

Treestar charged toward the other pokémon as fast as he could, happily waving his leaf about, excited to play. He stopped a little short- he didn't know the Torkoal and didn't wish to frighten him- but he kept a big grin across his face.

Octavia followed, a little more shyly, but with a subtle smile tugging on her face; it was /interesting/ always, to meet people, or see friends she'd met before, and there were a couple of fire types here.
Fire types fascinated her- she knew Jace (both the human and the Charmeleon)- and she wished to know more about more of the species; she was a fire type, who wasn't very good at 'fire' yet... but Ponyta, Rapidash... These weren't the only fire-users; she wasn't the only fire species. And she was an oddity, she knew, even in her own species...
A Torkoal was something brand new to her, and thus, softly, it was the Torkoal that she chose to approach first, offering another snort of greeting.

Tambrey grinned at Jace's sentiments of he and Rory matching; she cast an eye between the two Pichus (far less wary than she might be around any other electric type) and then looked out to where the other pokémon were again.
"They all seem very healthy, and happy." The grunt smiled, watching them, and tugged at her bag strap slightly. She wondered if Rory might have guessed what she was thinking; her absent-minded tug on the strap of her bag was probably a clue enough, and her watchfulness of the boy's team. The precious cargo in the bag was feeling 'heavy' to her for a moment.
"Have you been training a lot then?"

Rory smiled at the boy as he glanced between the two groups of pokemon, catching the hopeful look his Pichu sent him at the prospect of getting out to play with another of his kind. "I suppose we do; we would have even more if Jace here," he put a hand on the Charmeleon's head, "hadn't evolved."

The pokemon in question nodded before nodding to the boy and following after Octavia and Treestar. He approached the strange pokemon and held up a claw in greeting.

Thor, on the other hand, glanced away from Rory and focused on the other Pichu that sat on human-Jace's shoulder. He called over to the mouse and gave an enthusiastic wave.

Out of the corner of his eye, Rory caught Tambrey shift the backpack. He hadn't known why she wanted to bring it along with them, but after meeting Jace, he could understand. It wouldn't be able to ask for a better trainer. Slowly Rory slid a hand into Tambrey's and squeezed, letting her know quietly that he understood.

Zap squealed again, then darted down the boy's arm, which he naturally lifted, fully aware of the electric type's intentions, to allow the pokemon to draw closer to the others and yet still stay close by him. The little pichu stopped at his elbow, ecstatic to see another like her.

The Torkoal, as Octavia approached, blinked at her as though he was bored, then yawned before bowing his head and introducing himself. The ponyta looked like a wonderful young lady, and he wouldn't dare to be anything but polite....he thought.

The boy's eyes widened hugely as the charmeleon was released, and he beamed in Tambrey's direction. "So he was the one with the charmander with my name!" he said excitedly, drawing from his memory of their first meeting. "Hi Jace! He's so cool! When did he evolve? Did you guys train a lot before he did?" He grinned as the fire type acknowledged him, then watched as it approached his own charmander before turning to Tambrey to answer her question. "Oh, yeah! We train a bunch, but not too much, cause I don't want to make them too tired all the time. They're really good though!"

Chester stood contently, watching as the others approached, and lifted his own claw in welcome to both Octavia and Treestar, chuckling at the latter's enthusiasm. It was good to see them again. When the charmeleon approached, however, he turned to him, still with a grin, but with the respect of meeting someone new. With a bob of his head, he offered his greeting with a smile.

Good. She'd need that.
The grunt smiled as Rory gave her hand a squeeze.
She watched, and listened, as he and Jace interacted.
"That's good." She responded, happily, when Jace answered her question and nodded. "That's a very good method..."

Octavia regarded the Torkoal, and then sat in front of him, studying him carefully.
<> She tried, unsure of how to start a conversation without immediately asking the things she wanted to ask.
Well, if Octavia was doing so...

... Treestar waved his leaf again, trotted in a circle around the Torkoal (and the Ponyta) to say 'hi', and then trotted back to Jace (the Charmeleon) and Chester.

"Excuse me a moment." Tambrey smiled, letting Rory and Jace talk for a moment while she stepped a few paces away and let Ella out of her ball, before crouching and showing the pokémon something in her bag, talking to the steel type for a moment.

Thor's eyes lit up when the other Pichu squealed and raced down her trainer's arm to greet him. He stayed perched on Rory's shoulder, his tail wagging happily as he called an 'hello' over to her.

Rory grinned to himself again at the boy's enthusiasm when he introduced his Charmeleon and cast a small glance over at Tambrey. She had talked about him? "I'm glad you think so," As much as he loved all of his pokemon, he was proud of Jace, "He evolved not too long ago," Rory debated over what to tell him; the story behind the former Charmander's evolution wasn't the greatest or easiest story to tell outside of base. "We trained quite a bit. He shocked me when it happened; I thought he'd be a Charmander a little while longer."

He glanced over where his Jace had gone to greet the other pokemon and appraised the Charmander the boy owned. It was much calmer than his had been; he almost missed the attitude his had before he evolved.

Listening as the boy answered Tambrey's question, he gave her a small smile as she excused herself. "So what do you plan on doing? Are you going to become a coordinator or are you interested in battling?"

Kronk lifted his head, looked around a bit, then nodded at the ponyta. he asked slowly, just barely turning to watch as Treestar circled them.

Zap, meanwhile, bounced a little, still waving and full of energy. < Hi! It's so pretty today! I'm Zap, again!> she called.

Jace beamed at 'Tabitha's' approval, then watched her go a little ways away, his eyes brightening at the appearance of another pokemon. Cool!

His attention was quickly brought back to Rory, though, and he grinned up at the man as it the charmeleon's evolution was explained a little. "Cool! Yeah, Charmanders are pretty awesome... Chester is so cool! I bet it's awesome, though, now that he's evolved and stronger, right? I bet he knows tons of cool moves."

Another bright smile as he stood a little taller. "We're gonna battle tons, and one day, I'm gonna be a dragon master like Champion Lance!" he positively beamed. "We don't have any dragons yet, but we're gonna look around as a team when I visit home to see if we can catch any. My team, I mean. I'm from Blackthorne, so there's loads of them to find, but my family moved here 'cause Dad got a better job. Or something." He laughed a little, then, nearly bursting with excitement. It was definitely a topic that he was proud of. "What about you guys?"

How interesting... He had a shell, and he was a fire type... He was small...
She beamed a friendly smile at Zap.
The energy of the Pichu was somewhat invigorating.

Treestar thought so too; he changed paths and turned toward the little electric type, waving his leaf back and forth.
<< I'm Treestar, again!>> He replied... This probably had the potential to go on for a while...

Tambrey and Ella remained on the ground together, 'conversing' over the bag, for a few moments, before Tambrey straightened up and wandered back toward Rory and Jace.
"This is Ella." She introduced the Aron. "She's agreed to entrust you with something very important, Jace."

Pinkie sniffed the Torkoal before sticking closer to Octavia, settling to lay down, as she asked her questions.

Thor noticed Treestar approach and took the chance to hop down from his trainer's shoulder, down beside the grass type. He glanced up at Zap.

Rory nodded as the young boy grinned up at him. "Charmanders are the best but Charmeleons are pretty cool. He knows a few better moves that will help." He folded his arms over his chest, smiling as the boy mentioned his interest in dragons. "That sounds better than becoming Champion or a coordinator. You've got a good start with Chester; he could be a really good dragon for your team."

Before he could answer Jace's question, Tambrey and Ella returned with the open bag. He took a step back and watched to see the boy's reaction to what she had planned.

Kronk continued to blink contently at the ponyta around him, bobbing his head slowly at them both. <>

Zap continued to bounce and wave, until it flopped onto his tiny back and wiggled, giggling in little squeals at Treestar as the grasstype continued to circle them. When Thor motioned to play, however, the little mouse lit up, small sparks flittering from its cheeks as it beamed at the other pichu. <>

Jace rocked back and forth on his heels, still smiling up at Rory. "Yeah! He's not really a dragon type, but he's awesome, and it'll be so cool when he can fly!" he exclaimed, about to go on until 'Tabitha' reappeared.

The introduction was received well, and Jace turned his childlike smile over to the Aron before kneeling. "Hi Ella!" he greeted gently, sitting back on his heels in the grass.

Octavia looked back at Pinkie, wondering if the other Ponyta had ever tried to have such a conversation, then returned a smile to the Torkoal before them.

<> Treestar inquired, stopping in place to 'trot-on-the-spot' excitedly.

Tambrey moved to stand near Rory and watch quietly while Ella, carefully, produced an egg, nearly as big as she was, from the bag.
Despite her tiny arms, she held it carefully and took a few steps toward Jace, motioning to him with the egg, as though she was trying to lift it to him.

Pinkie was content to watch the other Ponyta, the one Rory and Tambrey called her sister of sorts, but looked up at the mention of evolving. <> Like if she ever needed to carry her boy again.

Thor grinned at the two pokemon and lightly tapped Treestar. <>

Rory hid a smile as he watched Ella approach the boy with the egg, reaching out a hand to slip into Tambrey's, as he leaned in to whisper to her, "You made a good choice."

<> he corrected, slowly looking between the two ponyta. <> He gave a choppy, wise laugh. <>

Zap giggled and dashed around, perking up when Thor tagged Treestar. When it was announced who was it, she zipped around in a large circle, then away, starting into the game.

Jace watched the aron, tilting his head as she dug around in the bag, then beamed as she moved toward him with the egg. "Whoa! Is this your egg? You're a mom!" he said excitedly, reaching out to carefully take it. "My mom used to help raise pokemon eggs before we moved here, but now she's a people nurse..."

<> Octavia reasoned, carefully, in response to her older sister's comment, then looked back with a gracious smile for the Torkoal.

<> Treestar queried, than grinned and hopped around. <> The grass type chimed before charging off after the Pichus, going after Thor, then changing direction and trying to catch up with Zap, unable to decide who to chase first.

Ella stepped back and offered one short little nod as Jace took the egg; she -was- a mother, wasn't she? That was a strange idea. She hadn't actually laid any eggs or... anything, but that was definitely a child -from her- in there... Still, the boy seemed nice; she was glad of her trainer's pick.

Tambrey squeezed back with a 'thanks', in reply to Rory, before addressing the boy.
"She wants you to look after it. Raise it, like your mother would have done," Tambrey smiled. "Our research trips aren't the best place for an egg, and Ella would much rather a good trainer was there for her child."

<> Pinkie agreed; that had to be the reason and it made her feel better. They would always be Ponytas together. She smiled and nodded over at the Torkoal. <>

Thor let out an excited cry as Treestar started to chase after him before he changed direction to chase after the female Pichu. Thor ran faster in an attempt to distract the grass type. <>

The pokemon seemed to be as trusting of the small trainer as Tambrey was; it was an amazing sight to see as she handed over the egg to the boy. The pokemon that would hatch would be well taken care of, it was easy to see that. Rory squeezed Tambrey's hand in return, his thumb sliding over her knuckles as he listened.
