[FIN] What Goes Around...

Tymiko's expression was steely as the weight of the man before her was speared on the tip of his sword. Fathom yipped in astonishment, but could only watch as his trainer shoved the sword harder against Yuri. Not enough to drive it much further, but perhaps enough to send him over the edge of the river bank into the freezing water below.

Looking at Tymiko in shock, his vision starting to blur, Yuri wrenched his eyes shut as she pushed the sword in deeper. His strength quickly leaving him, he stumbled backwards.

By this point Repede was running towards them but was unable to get there in time as Yuri's foot slipped. It felt like slow motion as gravity took hold and he fell backwards.

So this was it, huh? This was how he was going to die. Kinda fitting really. After all it was said that those who live by the sword, die by the sword.

A deep chill surrounded him as he fell into the water, the current sweeping him away.

Repede looked on just as Astal came beside him, knowing he couldn't jump in there after him.

"Eeeeeeevee!" Astal cried, eyes wide in terror. The shiny vee then looked to Repede as a thought struck him. Repede yelped as Astal suddenly tackled him, tore open his pack and pulled something out. The Eevee, holding it in his mouth made a made run for the edge and them jumped off. A bright glow surrounding him as he did so.

Tymiko hardly registered what happened afterward. She stood at the bank, staring into the water where Yuri had fallen, before her gaze slowly slid back toward the woods.

Fathom watched all that happened, making note of his trainer's disappearance into the forest. He dared not follow her just then, but he knew he would have to venture into the woods soon enough to find his daughter. For now, he was more curious about Astal and his plan.

Exhausted by the emotional, mental, and physical exertion of what she'd done, the girl stumbled back toward the tree line. Her adrenaline rush ebbed as she found a large tree to scale, settling across its branches before crying herself into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Her Vaporeon, meanwhile, knew he could have perhaps gone after the unconscious Yuri himself. But after what his trainer had done, would his pokemon or even Yuri himself trust him? Besides, Tymiko, if she knew, might have deemed it a betrayal and turned her rage on him instead. Not to mention Distance was waiting for him. He dreaded what would happen if Ty found her first, even in her dumbfounded state.

None of Yuri's Pokemon stuck around long enough to see or care about what Tymiko and her Pokemon were doing.

Link ran quickly into the woods to find the others for help. Repede went running along the riverbank, trying to follow his wounded partner who was caught in the rapids.

Yuri himself floundered weakly within the current, but wasn't strong enough to fight with his blood quickly leaving his body. The sword having come free somewhere along the line.

Further upstream what surfaced from the water was not an Eevee but a purple Vaporeon. Now also caught in the current, he paddled about uncertainly. Frantically looking for Yuri while trying to figure out his new body. Finally he saw him just as the man went over the waterfall and fell into a deep pool below.

It was then that consciousness left Yuri and he began sinking to the bottom. He surely would have drowned there had a Vaporeon not grabbed him by the collar with his mouth and hauled him towards the shore.
