[FIN] Tales of (not quite so much) Joy

Jace seemed up lighten up a little more at the suggestion, though he still remained a little more shy around Flynn. He nodded, then slowly stood iup carefully still holding Dawn to his chest. The swablu chirped at Flynn's kindness.

Dove, even as the blond looked to her, stayed quiet, but nodded once in thanks. She didn't have he energy to debate his offer, and it was kind... She walked slowly with the group, Lovey following the children closely.

Jace spoke up to the young man behind the counter, giving his happy meal order, then waited for the rest.

Gummy waddled along at a good pace, apparently knowing where they were going enough, somehow, to be a little ahead of Henrietta for once; perhaps he was a McDonphans fan...

Bistra chirped with a little bit of surprise at each new sight.
This was different to her little mountain home of so long, travelling with humans was going to be quite a lot of fun... Everything was so new, and so far, every human she'd met was so nice.

Hen' lost some of her frown as they stepped into the restaurant, and even smiled at Flynn a little.
"Thanks." She mumbled, then stood behind Jace. She checked her 'dex for something and then leaned over the counter to say something quietly to the server.
When she had her meal, she also acquired an extra little bag, with a little model Pyroar sitting in it.
She turned to Jace, to show him and explain.
"I got one for Yuri too, so he won't feel too bad we came without him..."

Flynn smiled back at Henrietta, glad he could brighten their day if only a little bit. All three of them seemed to be taking this pretty hard.

As the kids went to order, Flynn hung back with Dove. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked softly, knowing she wasn't, it was obvious.

"You should eat something too," he reminded her after Jace and Hen had given their orders.

Jace thanked the guy for his meal when he obtained it, then blinked at Henrietta and the little toy she showed him. "Hey, that was a good idea!" he said, slightly more chipper now. Hen seemed confident that Yuri would be okay... So surely that meant there was a better chance.

With his happy meal in hand, he thanked Flynn, then made his way to a booth. "C'mon, Henrietta! Let's go get a seat..."

Dawn fluttered ahead, choosing a table for the group and cleaning it quickly with her wings.

Dove looked over to Flynn at his question, opting to make her selection before answering him, as the young man was waiting for her order. That done, she stepped back, waiting for Flynn to order before she answered him. "I'll be okay. He should be okay, I'm just... Still in shock. I don't know how this happened..." she said wiietly, checking over her shoulder for the kids. The amount of stress she found herself under was more than anything she had experienced before and was very seriously taking its toll.

The girl smiled, and the fluffy hat-bird tweeted happily, at Jace at the praise for the idea. Henrietta did seem to think exactly that, and she was seeming a little more like herself now that they were in the restaurant.

As Dawn fluttered off to clean a table, Bistra trilled with delight and fluttered away to join her; cleaning stuff made everything better, always!

After ordering, paying, and receiving food, Flynn turned and escorted Dove to a table near the kids. "Yeah, Yuri has always been tough, but the shock is understandable."

He sighed lightly though. "To be honest I always knew something like this might happen. He's always made as many enemies as friends if not more. But you don't have any idea how this happened?"

"Maybe we should get flowers for him too..."Jace suggested as he ate a few French fries. He then looked around for Repede, curious to see if the growlithe was hungry.

Dove followed Flynn and sat quietly, listening closely as he spoke. She shook her head at his question, taking a sip of her tea--finally, something other than river water-- before speaking. "It's more than shocking... Link just led us over a hill and Astal and Repede were pulling him out of the water, and the next thing I knew..." She closed her eyes, deciding immediately that she wouldn't be using any ketchup in the course of this meal. She also elected not to go into further detail for the time being, as both needed to eat, and she wasn't sure how much the kids would hear. "My first guess would be Rocket, but... In the middle of the forest? There wasn't anyone else around but Tymiko, and no one knows where to find her..." she told him helplessly. She hoped the girl was okay, and having no word of her from anyone only added to the ever growing pile of things to worry about. Her expression finally showed a bit of hopelessness as the fear and stress started breaking through her mask.

"Yeah! We should ask them," she meant the adults "about it b'fore we leave... Maybe we can stop in a flower shop or something..."

Bistra was back on her head, and the girl shared a fry with her, and with Gummy, who sat, happily, on the floor, twitching his tail back and forth.

"That does seem strange..." Flynn admitted while quietly eating his food. "I suppose the only ones that would know are Yuri and Tymiko. I hope they find her."

There was no doubt in his mind that someone had to have attacked Yuri. But who and why?

Repede was there, and as if on cue the Growlithe walked over and sat next to the kids' table, looking up at them with his one eye.

Releasing Zap, the boy smiled quietly a Henrietta, then offered one hand of French fries to the pichu and his swablu, and then another few to Repede. "Yeah, let's do that," he finalized, before adding, "What kind of toy did you get?"

Dove nodded, taking her food in small, small bites and wondering if one literally could be worried sick. ""We'll ask him as soon as he's well enough. Surely ... Surely he'll be..."

Henrietta smiled and nodded. It was a good idea.
She smiled, too, as Zap appeared, and Repede joined them; adding him, like Jace had, to her recipients of fries.

"Oh, I didn't check yet!" She realised when Jace asked, and dug out the little plastic bag from her own box. A moment later she revealed her prize; a Clawitzer model.
"I dunno what this is..."

Repede wagged his tail as he was offered fries and gladly ate them. Flynn sighed a little as he saw this and made a mental note to pick up some real pokechow for the Growlithe.

"He's gotten this far," Flynn reminded Dove as he looked back to her. "And he won't go down without a fight." Though he didn't really know if Yuri would pull through, he still had faith that he would.

Jace blinked at the toy, also unsure. "Weird. Guess it's a new one, huh?.." The pichu, having finished it's fries, hopped onto the table, looking at Bistra curiously.

Dove stayed quiet, knowing what Flynn said was right, but still feeling horribly about it all the same. Without a word, she shook her head a little. He would be fine. The doctors has reassured her that he would make a recovery.

Realizing that it must be taxing for Flynn to have to sit and out up with her silent stressed demeanor, she looked up at him. "He'll pull through... Somehow..."  

[Gwennythe]

"Clawitzer." Hen' read the little leaflet that accompanied the toy, identifying it, with the others available. "It's kinda cool; I bet it's really good at battling!" She became just a little more enthusiastic, as usual, upon the subject of pokémon; especially pokémon that were brand new to her.

"What did you get?"

Bistra trilled happily and tilted her head as she noticed the Pichu watching her.

"He will," Flynn agreed but without the doubt that Dove continued to exhibit. "The doctors are taking good care of him, and I'm sure he would rather you take better care of yourself and not worry so much about him."

With that he finished his food, and got up to throw the trash away.

Repede looked over at Flynn and then Dove before walking over to the latter and woofing softly at her. As if the Growlithe was affirming what Flynn had just told her.
