[FIN] It Doesn't Get Better

He raised his hands to the Jirachi on his head as soon as he felt the weight of her, gently moving to remove her. "Okay, okay," he said, laughing lightly. "How about we call it a stalemate then? You'll get all tired if you do too much of that teleporting stuff, right?"

It seemed a little to late for that, as she already started to droop in his grip as he moved her.
"I'm getting better." she said through a wide and long yawn. squirming in his hands and rubbing at one of her eyes with her wrist, as to not get any sap on her face.

"It sure looks like you are." Rosie agreed, stepping back next to Luke and holding her hands out to offer to take the Jirachi.

He resisted the urge to point out the fact that gloves don't get tired and turned to Rosie to transfer the sleepy Jirachi into her waiting hands. "Well, you can take it easy for now," he said. "It's not much further to Sandalwood, and then we can get cleaned up."

She didn't have much time to reply more then a droopy nod before the Jirachi drooped into Rosie's arms and falling to fall asleep instantly.
IT seemed to be a habit of the Jirachi whenever she was tired, she was either awake, or she was asleep, she never stayed tired for more then a couple of seconds before she was dozing off.
It wasn't unusual for her to like to take many little naps during the day either, so Rosie learned to expect it most of the time.

Looking up at Luke, then down the path that they were following, allowing her eyes to drift up toward the trees were more signs of entering the city were very obvious.
"It didn't feel like it took that long this time." she noted.

"Hm?" He looked to Rosie as she spoke, following the path of her gaze. "You mean the trip? It's a lot faster if you don't have to drag your feet through the snow." Man but he didn't want to think about snow anymore.

She smiled, looking back over to him "In the snow is a whole different story." She agreed. "But I mean, normally. It just felt like it went by quicker this time, Its nicer to have company during it, I think."

He nodded his understanding and agreement, wearing a quiet smile in his expression. "Things always seem to go a little quicker when you're with someone else - though it often seems feels like it's when you're with someone else that you'd rather take your time."

She gave it some thought, smiling to show she agreed while she reached her free hand out to take his hand, stepping forward with a litle skip in her step so that she could lean closer to him, giving him a quick affectionate kiss, stepping back with a little twirl under his hand to continued down the path.
"Its a good thing we have all the time we want~"

It was surreal to remember that they would be married in a month. a month- a short month, nearly everything was ready for the occasion. Thank goodness, though now she was more anxious to get to marry Luke then about the preparations for the wedding. They didn't need plates? Right? Or flowers.She was sure the guests could find their own seating and her last dress fitting should be fiiiinnne. Just let it get here.

Hand shoved deep into the pockets of his coat, paying little mind is any to the scares for still present company along the road that would lead him out and away from the forest city.
Normally he would be more up for flashing a smile of the ladies who's attention he could catch, but his mind wasn't on such small pleasures right now, and he found himself daring anyone to be the first person to say something to him.

After about the third person passed, without even bothering to look at them, the shades over his eyes remaining straight ahead in a deep disgruntled thought. He was aware of the people around him only mildly that was until his shoulder made contact with something that caused his stance to jerk around and almost lose his momentum.

"Hey- watch it." He scowled, reaching a hand up to brush out the awkward folds of his blue coat the impact had skewed.
Rounding a bend in the forest path had not provided much of a forewarning to other travelers, especially with the length and speed of stride Kyle, in his temper, was traveling in.

Kyle didn't care who's fault it was, or if it was no ones fault at all, or even if it was even worth getting upset over. He rarely gave too much thought into the kind of reaction that would be more appropriate, as he simply wanted the other traveler to know that they are in the way and should be ashamed.

Though he barely glanced at the duo, something about one of them drew a more defined pause from Kyle, and the tall man did a double take at the one with the bright red hair.

He was happy to have Rosie's hand in his, happy to have her by his side, and he responded to her with a warm smile - until his shoulder suddenly brushed another, the unexpected stranger catching his attention. He didn't think much of it, answering the passerby's remark with a passing "sorry;" he was in too bright a mood to even consider letting someone else's attitude affect him. Green eyes lingered briefly on the individual, caught by a faint sense of familiarity that he mentally shrugged off.

At his shoulder, there was the sensation of something tugging on the fabric of his jacket.

Kyle's mouth fell open slightly as the other man looked back at him, and Kyle was met with a likeness that had been stuck in his memory and to this day still boiled his blood.
It was that guy, Luke! The league p***k from the forest!
Kyle had hoped one day that he would encounter his again, but this was just so unexpected and random!

Behind his glasses he glanced to the second person that he was with, a small blond women, she was holding what was clearly a legendary that was manufactured by Team Rocket, they transported enough of those to know where they came from.
He could see her face fall he his frown deepened and he looked back to Luke.

Oh my god, the guy didn't recognize him- how perfect was this.

"I've gotta tell you-" Kyle spoke again, pulling both hands out of his pockets.
"I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for a long long time."
tossing one hand, and two balls over his shoulder, Kyle' red jacket flared out behind him as the taller brunette lunched forward with a closed first to the side of Luke's face.

The stare and the expression that accompanied it were hint enough that the situation wasn't as passing and innocuous as it should have been, but Lorelei's insistent tugs and Mieu's suspicious half growl certainly didn't detract from the growing feeling of awareness that Luke had. As the man spoke, his voice cemented and identified the source of the sense of familiarity he had had, and a frown creased his brow. He released Rosie's hand reflexively, raising one arm to shield her as he quickly stepped back and one hand to guard against the reach of the approaching fist.

Progress was paused for a moment when there was a mild encounter, Luke and another man walking the opposite ways bumped into one another. The gesture was not taken in good stride by the other man, who voiced his annoyance in a tone of scolding. Luke just apologized, and Rosie herself smiled at him in a gentle apology as well, something that- to Rosie's disappointment- only seemed to annoy the man further as he frowned at her then quickly dismissed in favor of Luke once again.

He was tall, and very smartly dressed, but something about his expression didn't give him as classy a demeanor as his attire would suggest for a man.
Rosie tightened her grip on Luke's hand, happy to keep going, but a sudden movement from the man in the blue suit moving toward them and Luke's very quick reaction to it drew out a startled gasp from the trainer before she could tell what was fully going on.
Was he attacking Luke?

Kyle had made contact alright, but not with what he had wanted to, Either way he pulled back sharply, holding his first at his side and reaching up to take his aviators off.
"Don't think you're going to brake it a second time." He scowled, tucking the glasses into an inside pocket of his jacket and pulling his fists up again.
this was good, a rematch.

From behind him two more pokemon stepped up, eying the situation curiously.
The Absol Luke would be able to recognize, though the other, standing with a more mildly curious frown was a shiny Sylveon, his ribbons waving gently where he stood.
They were given no orders, as Kyle went in for another swing at Luke.

"Furthest thing from my mind," he retorted stiffly. "Actually, I was thinking I could thank you for getting me out of work last time - thought I might return the favor." He utilized the moment's reprise to draw his sword from it's scabbard, brandishing the sharpened steel in such a way that if his enemy followed through with the strike, his knuckles would be split upon the edge.
