[FIN] Fired Up!

The Solarbeam attack wasn't very effective but it was enough to take the Gastly down; Aulus raised her pokeball and returned her quickly before turning to the rest of his team. "Tha, get clear! Killer, go after Bulba!"

Thanatos yelped as he saw the ground type charging at him and quickly took Aulus' meaning; Quick Attack got him clear of the worst of the damage from double edge but it still clipped him painfully.

Killer turned on Solar, grinning broadly. Focusing on the grass type the Sylveon let out a ringing cry with Disarming Voice.

Kailee returned Fossil and hugged the pokeball. "Good job."

She turned back to the rest of her team. "Solar focus on getting that Frog! I want a solid Vine Whip! Bring him down!" Solar nodded and bounded toward the Blue pokemon. A Vine going each way to try and catch the pokemon. No matter which way he decided to run.

Munchy had called a Baton Pass and he moved to do so but she cut him off. "Use Rock Slide again." The pokemon nodded and his eyes glowed white and then the Energy rings formed over both the opponent pokemon to drop rocks on both of them.

Solar looked up as Killer spoke. He frowned wondering what he had done to offend the Fairy type and then his eyes widened as he was hit with the attack. If he had caught of Thanatos the pokemon was freed and he was thrown. "Solar! No! You can get up come on." Solar stood himself up and then was taken by the curse. He collapsed. She frowned. "Its ok... come on back Solar." She returned him and kissed the ball lightly.

"You know what that means right Munchy!?" Munchy nodded and he turned. Jumping up, He crashed back into the ground sending powerful energy rings through the ground in a powerful Earthquake.

Aulus twitched visibly as the Vine Whip struck Thanatos and held him fast. The falling rocks only made everything worse but then, thankfully, Solar then fainted. "Water pulse!" Aulus called, now half standing again as the battle came down to the wire.

Thantos staggered forward and managed to execute the attack just as Muchy performed Earthquake, which took the water type down a moment later; Aulus called him back with a mumbled curse.

Killer meanwhile had used Wish again without orders, managing to evade the rocks, and recovering health again as Earthquake send him flying. Just as Aulus opened his mouth to give an order the fairy type scrambled back upright and blasted at Munchy with the unavoidable Disarming Voice.

Kailee smirked slightly seeing Aulus twitch. They were holding their own. Amazing what happened when you went against pokemon of similar levels. "Dodge it!" Munchy barely managed to miss it with a slight twist before he landed. Munchy looked up from the Earthquake and saw the pink light that meant Killer was back with more.

Munchy couldnt avoid the attack. He cringed but then came out of it. "Again! Earthquake." Munchy jumped up again sending another Earthquake through the ground.

"How you feeling Munchy?" Her munchlax held up a thumbs up and turned back to look for Killer.

Killer started laughing and sprang into the air to avoid the worst of the earthquake, blasting out another Disarming Voice while he was airborne before crashing back to the ground and taking damage from Munchy's attack.

Aulus watched and waited, tense as a drawn bowstring; Killer was making his own decisions now, that was good progress, but working alone now meant that one of his attacks was useless. Still, he had the others, and two of them made a nice combination for keeping him on his feet and for the time being at least he looked as though he was doing okay.

Munchy growled as the pokemon leaped into the air. He took the attack and shook himself as he started to feel the hurt. He was thinking. He would just jump again if he did another earthquake. "Drench him!" Munchy looked up. It was a utility move... Kailee hadnt planned to use it. But it was an idea. Munchy used Surf.

Hopefully being wet would slow the thing down. Munchy made a choice then. He held up his fingers to do another Metronome. Kailee frowned. "Munchy no! use-" Too late... His fingers glowed white.

Killer regarded the oncoming wave of water with a smile and flashed up a bubble of pink light to protect himself from it. As the water ran down the drains around the battle area, and as Munchy started to perform another Metronome, the Sylveon blasted out another Disarming Voice; it was, after all, his only damaging attack.

Munchy's move called Sheer Cold.

His eyes glowed blue and he opened his mouth. The inside glowed white and the room got cold. So very cold. The water that didnt drain yet froze and so did the metal. And the ice chased after the Fairy type. If it hit it would be a one hit knock out. But there was only about a 55% chance it would actually hit. So maybe today she was lucky.

Munchy Took the attack regardless of the cold hitting... and he teetered. "Hold in there Munchy!" Kailee called to her pokemon. He was done. She could see it. But he was trying just for her.

Killer was not taking his chances; he flashed up another Protect which once again succeeded in defending him from the potential one hit KO.

Aulus shivered in the sudden chill of the room and suddenly found a huge wing curling lightly around his shoulders; he lent into the soft feathers gratefully, lips pressing close together as he waited to see what Kailee would do next.

Kailee watched as the protect worked. Lucky duck. She heard the heater kick on and she was grateful for it. She smiled. "That was Epic Munchy... " Sure he hadnt listened but it was still a wonderful move.

"Do we have one move left? Make it a good one!" Munchy tried to steady himself for Kailee and he jumped. Setting off another Earthquake. However that was it he sat down and looked to Kailee. If killer wasnt fainted Kailee waved her hand. "We admit defeat..."

And with those words Munchy leaned back to lay on the icy floor.

Killer wasn't fainted but it was a pretty close run thing. As Munchy lay back the Sylveon lay down too, panting hard and executing another Wish.

As the battle ended Aulus relaxed and waved Asgard's wing away, moving forward across the slippery battlefield to kneel rather stiffly down beside the Sylveon. "Good job," he complimented, rubbing behind the fairy type's ears and checking him quickly for any serious damage that a healing move couldn't fix up. Nope, he seemed fine. With this confirmed Aulus looked up at Kailee.

"Your lot did a good job there, I see you've updated their moves? A lot of them anyway." They'd listened well to her as well which was good to see; all of these three had been well behaved before from what he'd seen but everything had seemed a bit smoother this time. Maybe it was because Kailee was more experienced, or perhaps it was because it had been a more level playing field or something. Well, whatever.

"They've installed a healing station in the wall over there if you want to patch everyone up," Aulus added with a nod to it. Killer could take care of himself of course but he'd put the other two in... in a minute. He might just wait a bit for the ice to melt before he tried to stand up, he didn't want to slip in front of Kailee.

Kailee moved to Munchy with a bit of a slip. She plopped next to him and gave him a hug. "You were awesome...Next time...we will get them for sure." She pat his head before returning him. "Oh Yeah... awesome... Anura~ Can you get rid of some of this ice?" She pushed herself up, slid a little, laughed and then made it to the wall to heal them up. It dinged. She called them all back out. Anura moved out and started to use ember on areas of ice.

Kailee smiled. "Yeah... The Raid made me realize that i wasnt using them to their full potential... So... Now im going to... Munchy's Metronome... is a little unpredictable.... but I figure it cant hurt if we are in a situation where he isnt needed at the front line." She shrugged.

"Your guys were awesome too..." She smiled to her pokemon. Solar bounded across the stadium and plopped next to Tortie. Sure he got beat up... but he was fine now.

"Well, it can hurt," Aulus replied as he got cautiously to his feet. "If for say he comes out with Explosion. If he wasn't on the front lines, was close to us, he could blow us to bits. Not a move I'd ever use outside of a professional battlefield like this where trainers are protected from harmful effects." Taking Thanatos and Puck's pokeballs from his belt he crossed the now less slippery floor to the healing machine and put them in to be fixed up.

Tortie, who had watched the whole affair with the critical air of a drill sergeant, looked down at Solar and gave a curt nod. she said shortly.

<Wonderful,> Killer agreed, rolling onto his back with a happy sigh as Wish took effect.

Kailee frowned. "Leave it to you to point out one of very few moves that can hurt..." She sighed. "But... you are right... We will take heart to keep him away from the rockets just in case."

Solar laughed a bit He nudged her good naturedly and then looked to Killer. Fossil and Munchy wandered over and settled in to watch Anura's practice. It was Fossil who spoke and settled next to Solar and Killer.

Kailee scooped up Anura. "So... I was hoping that maybe Char can help Anura practice a bit and maybe help her learn Flamethrower?" Anura squirmed looking hopeful.

Aulus turned back to Kailee with his eyebrows raised but the effect was spoiled a bit by him trying to cross his arms over his chest. Naked pain flashed across his face for a moment - not physical pain - and he closed his eyes. When he opened them a moment later he let his arm drop down by his side. "Yes, leave it to me," he began blandly. "Leave it to the guy who's had a mine collapse around him, escaped from an exploding machine designed to reset the world, survived Galatic - twice - and then their exploding ship. I've got good instincts for staying alive and having something that could blow off even more of my body parts around violates those instincts." Inhale, exhale; his voice had been getting a bit sharp towards the end there but it wasn't because of Kailee and so he tried really, really hard not to direct it at her.

"Sure though," he muttered after a few moments, taking Char's pokeball from his belt and releasing him. "You might want to look into the Pledge moves," he added as the Charizard manifested. "Char, Discord and Thanatos all have them. If Solar and Anura will work together a lot - which would make sense as Sunny Day benefits both of them - giving them those moves is a good option for you."

Killer disagreed with a soft chuckle, getting to his feet again and moving out of the way along with the others. anything, I really need to get into a proper fight one of these days.>

Tortie snorted. she commented, leaning over to n** one of the pink thing's feelers.

While the others chattered Char stretched and looked around; training room, but no obvious opponent? he inquired of the room at large.
