Your favorite Finweian/Feanorian?

Good point. I guess I'm thinking of it as the ability to commit oneself quite strongly to something; a strength of will. So in that way, dedication or commitment as I see it is an observable effect of a character trait that might be considered admirable.

As for the Oath... I'm too out of it to remember how I was going to make some kind of justification for it. Which is a really dumb cop out, but there it is.

I don't care much about Fingolfin... Neither love him nor hate him.
My favorite Feanorian? Feanor. Or Maglor. Depends on my mood.

Well, I finally voted in the poll, and my choice was 'Child of Finarfin'. Galadriel, to be specific.

Re-reading her History and seeing all the stuff she did during the Second and Third Ages just makes me go WOW! eek

I voted for "Child of Finarfin" because Galadriel rocks my socks. plus my character is related to her, and if you read the silmarillion, the children of Finarfin didn't cause much trouble, compared to the others, so they're just awesome.

I say Galadriel is freakin' awesome. I mean, she's so cool when Feanor is convincing people to leave Aman with him. She doesn't even care about his issues, she just wants to have a kingdom of her own. I'm pretty sure was getting (just a little) bored and disillusioned as to the power of the Valar against Melkor.
I also like Maglor, mainly because he's said to have been the best musician save for Daeron.
And other reasons I can't remember at the moment, and are probablly non-intelligent.

I always liked Maedhros and esp. Maglor. They were the two not-as-crazy-as-our-dad-but-still-dedicated-to-our-Oath sons. And I thought it was nice of Maglor to take in Elrond and Elros.

Also, I always liked Aredhel. She was a strong female charecter, and, furthermore, the mother of Maeglin, who, for some reason or another, I've always had a strange facination with.

I love Elwing, Especially because she can fly.......like a bird....in the sky heart
